In attempting to identify a slight odor that potential buyers of our house had mentioned, the HVAC technician recommended that we have our air ducts cleaned. We contacted Stanley Steemer on a Friday afternoon to arrange for a duct cleaning on Monday. When the technicians arrived (promptly), they suggested that duct cleaning on our 10 year old house would probably not solve the problem. Instead, they recommended their RejUVenate system which would take care of any "organic" odors. Although no specific guarantee was offered, the sales pitch was sufficiently powerful that we bought the system and had it installed that afternoon. Unfortunately, the next realtor to visit the house 5 days later, mentioned the smell. A subsequent visit by an industrial hygienist identified the odor as coming from chemicals stored in our garage that were being picked up by the air handler. I contacted Stanley Steemer twice to request a refund and removal of the RejUVenate system. They have not returned my calls. The company does not publish local contact information and I was forced to use the 1-800 number. I will not use this company again for any service.

The price quoted was $240, which was a bit more pricey than other quotes but after reading the reports on Angie's List we thought it should be worth it. They asked my wife if she wanted and quot;deodorisingand quot; and she said yes. Now, she should have asked the price before agreeing to it. But, also, they should have told her the cost as well. I was amazed, when having completed the cleaning, they said $120 had to be added to the quote for thisand quot;deodorisingand quot;. A 50% increase on top of the cost of cleaning. Then they asked if we wanted scotch guarding as well. We gave them a terse NO and handed over the check begrudgingly. Be Careful. The add ons are always a likely con and we were foolish enough to fall for it.

All went well. Carpet was cleaned satisfactorily, I was pleased the efficiency and professionalism of Stanley Steemer personnel.

Purchased a 4 month old puppy in May. Through the trials and tribulations of housebreaking had may stains on carpet. Tried a popular spot cleaner, only made carpet ( light color carpet ) look worse. Stanley Steemer arrvived on time, applied spot remover and cleaned. Carpet looks great, no more spots. Pet odor was not a issue.

Could not believe that all the heavy stains, some unidentified in our son's room, came out. The whole experience with Stanley Steemer and their employee Craig was excellent. Arrived right on time, didnt feel like they were trying to speedily get done so they could get quota in, as some cleaning companies do. Pet accident stains are gone in living room, traffic patterns in the hallway are gone. Did not try to pressure me with up sell. Even after 2-3 weeks, carpet still looks and feels fresh. We will definitely recommend SS and will use them in the future.

Very positive experience. Very helpful on the phone setting up what we needed, and the difference in various add-ons. He did not pressure us to buy any of them. The crew was on-time, very pleasant and professional. We would definitely use them again.

I called three companies and I settled on Stanley Steemer as they give a set price up front. The sales person was very helpful in explaining how these jobs are priced - what to look out for, etc. They had the availability I needed so I booked them. They call in advance to say when the technicians will arrive. The technician walked around, making notes about various spots requiring extra attention. His helper set up the hoses and opened a spigot that let a stream of sludge pour down my driveway. We'll deal with this later. The job itself took about an hour. They moved two pieces of furniture and placed plastic under the legs. I let the carpet dry for 12 hours. There were several spots that came back to the surface. I called to say I was moderately satisfied with the results. The service office agreed to schedule a follow up visit on 8/6/11. They arrived on time and did a spot clean. I pointed out the sludge tracks on my driveway which at first, they couldn't believe they had caused them. After they finished in the house, they attempted to clean the driveway. Now we have to have the entire driveway pressure washed. The spots they went over in one room are better but in the other room they left a new area that wasn't there before. Now, we have to figure out another process to clean the new spot! The technicians were nice enough but I question the quality of their equipment. Company was responsive but the quality of the job was not what I expected.

They crew send out worked quickly yet diligently. did a good job. Furniture was moved appropriately and placed on small styrofoam blocks to aid drying time. I was pleased with the results and actually surprised at how much improved the carpet appears now.
