(I'm sorry this is so long, but I want you to understand what you're dealing with before you make the same mistake we did buying from them. This is a horror story that I wish I had read beforehand). I hope to never have to deal with this Company again! We ordered all of our appliances from Setzers in Jacksonville. Viking cooktop, Viking oven, and Kitchenaid refrigerator. Not just any Kitchenaid refrigerator, top of the line 5 door, stainless steel, $3600 refrigerator. Less than 1 year in, it began to rust. We called for a Warranty check. Fields Appliance (their factory authorized service company) came out and agreed all 5 doors needed to be replaced. A month rocked on, finally we called to find out where the doors were, and were told Whirlpool (Makers of Kitchenaid) denied the claim. Citing that we lived near the coast! Well, our other appliances aren't rusting and the refrigerator doesn't sit outside! They sent us a 6 oz bottle of rust cleaner. Setzers never offered to help at all. After repeated calls we were ignored. A few months later, this refrigerator stops cooling! Called Setzers, again were told to refer it over to Fields Appliance. This was in March, 3 months out of 1 yr warranty. The refrigerant system is warranted for 5 yrs. This was also right at the beginning of Covid 19 shut down. Fields could not give us a appointment, due to shut downs. So, I called a local company to fix it out of pocket. He discovered a leak in the coolant lines, fixed the leak and replaced the coolant.( $453.61 on 4/9/20) Great, it works! About 3 weeks later, it stops cooling again. Called local service repairman out once more to see whats going on. He replaces a thermal bi metal sensor and wellahh! It works again! ($100 on 4/28/2020). About 3 weeks after that, it stops working again! We are thinking by now, it's a problem for Setzers, Whirlpool, and Fields. We call the local service repairman out to confirm and he states that the evaporator fan motor will need to be replaced, and that part replaces all sensors as well. ($59.99 5/28/2020 service call). We call Setzers and schedule an appointment with Fields. First appointment we could get was 6/16/2020. Guy comes out, and cited a factory defect, per a technical bulletin he had, and relocated a sensor. Simple as that, he assured us it was fixed! Even though I pointed out it felt no cooler when he packed his things to leave. It did nothing! In the background Setzers ( when they would call back) were supposedly working with Whirlpool to help fix the problem! Whirlpools reply was that since our repairman was not factory authorized, it completely voided our warranty! Explaining we had no choice, since Fields wouldn't come out and by now we are without a working refrigerator for 3 months, they could care less! Feeling totally frustrated, we call Fields again! On 6/19/2020, they send out another repairman. This guy came in, opened up the back, and immediately stated the refrigerant was over filled. Didn't do any diagnostics, just told us that we were F**ked, and walked away, without even putting the refrigerator back in place! Neither Fields rep hooked up a diagnostic tool to confirm any real issue, I guess they just knew! Total incompetence! So... As of now we have paid the local repairman ($448.33 on 6/26/2020) to order the evaporation fan motor and install it this coming Monday.(7/20/2020) Total amount out of pocket at this point, $1053.90. It took that long to get here! Wish us luck!

Don’t waste your time. Save yourselves a lot of trouble and buy from another place, like Best Buy or Costco or a different company. This is the worst company I have ever done business with. Their post sale follow up and customer service is the worst, and the products they sell that you think would allow you to enjoy your product for many years to come like a extended warranty are a big fat joke. Also, the service company employed by them to fix your product when it breaks under warranty is Fields Appliance Service, which is by far the worst company on the planet. I promise you, you will be happy you read this review and bought elsewhere.

The customer service was fantastic. After looking everywhere in town and online to buy a counter depth refrigerator, we were very surprised to see how competitive they were on the prices. Their selection was the best in town. We love our fridge and will go back for our next appliance.

Great experience. Pick out the appliances I wanted was given a good price. The appliances were delivered & installed without a problem. I even left my cookware in the old stove drawer & they delivered it to my front door. Great service. They always kept me informed about the process.

I purchased a washer/dryer unit with extended 5 year warranties. I specifically stated to the salesman that I was buying here to get service if anything were to break from them. He said thats why they were in business so long and were so successful. When it came time to get the first repair, I came to find out they had sold me third party warranties. I can't even get a call back a week in to get a repair done. Deceptive and unethical business- avoid.

I am sorry to hear about the miscommunication. In our area, no appliance seller does their own work and all extended warranties are by third party with the possible exception of Sears which is done by A&E Service. I wish this would have been explained appropriately. We do have a dedicated person who works closely with the extended warranty companies, as well as the in warranty companies. I am sorry to say that most if not all extended warranties are done by a third party. In some parts of the country you can buy a service contract from a dealer, but that isn't available in Jacksonville as far as I am aware of.

Both Frank Fraser and Alan Setzer have been amazing through a long and difficult process. They've worked with our entire family to ensure the proper appliances were ordered and all deliveries and even some returns were processed with professionalism and courtesy. We would not think of buying high end appliances like Sub-Zero, Wolf, and Bosch through any other retailer in Jacksonville.

We went to Setzer's on Labor day to see the Speed Queen brand washers that were available. Since we already decided that we were going to purchase a Speed Queen the process was fairly quick. After being shown the models and the differences between them we felt zero pressure on deciding which one we were going to purchase. The salesman was very knowledgeable and the prices were reasonable. After purchasing and setting up the free delivery we were in and out within 30 minutes. The next day the delivery men called as promised when they were about an hour away from delivery. The installation was professional, the machine was tested, care and functions were explained. I would add Setzer's to my list for future appliance purchases.
Description of Work: We purchased a Speed Queen washer on 9/1/2014 and it was delivered on 9/2/2014.

Description of Work: My realtor referred me to Setzers to purchase appliances for my new home. I visited the showroom twice and couldn't get anyone to give me any information or price quotes even after asking for help. I contacted my realtor who contacted her point of contact at setzers. He (Lewis)spoke with me and promised to get me a price quote via email immediately. I never received a quote. Three strikes and they are out. I will be purchasing my appliances at Lowes.

We chose Setzer's because of their length of service in Jacksonville and as a returning customer . We would have expected they would have confirmed the availability of the items purchased before offering them as an option and certainly before they took our $ 1000.00 deposit. Still waiting for our money to be refunded so we can start the process all over with someone else. Still no washer now going on 7 days . Very Upset !
Description of Work: Contacted Setzer's for purchase of front load washer and dryer set. Spent several days conversing with salesman, went to showroom to look at selections, ordered my selection and gave a deposit of $1000.00. 5 days after my first contact with the salesman, 3,days after they took my deposit and several phone calls regarding delivery date the salesman calls to say they are not able to provide what I order. I was told they would refund my deposit on Friday which did not happen and now we have to wait until they decide to return our money to order from somewhere else.

[Member Name Removed], It is hard to confirm the availability of the products until we place our order with the manufacturer. There is a number of stores that will see the availability the same time we do, and it is on a first come first serve basis. When you order direct from the manufacturers like we do, you must have a minimum number of pieces and although we place orders every day, what was there at 10am may not be there at 10:30 because the entire country orders from the manufacturer. I hope you were notified as soon as we found out they are on back order. Please understand when we do refunds every Friday, there could be a delay depending on the bank of the refund showing up on your card. It will come out of our account immediately, but will sometimes take up to 8 days to show up on your account. Because of that reason I don't recommend using debit visa's but rather a real visa.

I called Setzer's on or around January 8th, and left a message with the fireplace guy to call me back. Nobody called me back, and we were in the neighborhood on the 13th so stopped in. After a long wait, someone finally assisted us and requested we pay $125 in advance just to get on the list for service. They said they were busy, and might not get to us for a couple weeks. Called on the 21st and again on the 22nd, no response. On the 23rd, I emailed the manufacturer, Heat N Glo, directly, who ultimately initiated a response. I got a call from the owner, and someone finally came out that week. They diagnosed the problem, and said they needed to order a part. Two weeks went by, and someone called and said they wanted more money from me to order the part. I called the owner back, and he said that was wrong information. The part was ordered on the 28th of January. It is now the 4th of March, and I am still waiting for anything from them. Unbelievably terrible.

When you called for service it was in the middle of our busy season which can take up to 6 weeks to get out for a service call and another 3-4 weeks to get the part. For that reason we always recommend people check their fireplace in the summer where we can get out to a house for a service call within 2 weeks. I personally spoke to you as we were trying to get the part and apologized but also explained that the time frame you had called in was our busiest. There are very few people that service fireplaces in our area, and during that time we had just made an adjustment in our staff for fireplaces so was taking even longer than usual. Within a week after we received the part we got your fireplace working. I understand wanting the fireplace fixed as soon as possible when it is cold, but with few service people in the area, and a lot of fireplaces to see, I wish you would have called earlier before it was cold where we could have taken care of it sooner. After all you were in the house a year without a fireplace before you decided to call. Again, I am sorry for the lead times when we are in the middle of the season, but I am happy that your fireplace is up and working correctly.

My husband and I went to Setzer's showroom and met with Mike Alfano to discuss upgrading the appliances in our kitchen. Setzer's pricing were comparable with other department stores . Setzer's delivered and installed the appliances, and faucet, by Tim Kidd. He was very professional and took great care of the previous appliances as well as the new. I would highly recommend Setzer's Appliances Fireplaces and More located in Jacksonville, Fl.
Description of Work: Mike was very informative about all brands and pleasant to work with. He gave us a quote and sold us a KitchenAid refrigerator, microwave, gas range, Bosch dishwasher and an upgraded kitchen faucet.

We shopped around - went to Sears and HHGreg also. Selter's was the best deal all around. Sears wanted $ 75 to deliver the machine, plus they would do nothing on hooking up the dryer. HHGreg the same thing - charge for delivery, plus limited selection. Selters had a nice showroom on Philips Hwy and lots of models. We dealt w/ one salesman Greg, and a little bit w/ Mike when Greg was tied up w/ another customer on our return visit. Greg is the pro; you could tell he has been doing this a long time. What impressed me was the lack of baloney and gamesmanship when I asked for model prices. No pressure to buy or fast talking. I believe he said straight-up their mark up over cost was 18%, and even showed me their cost info on his computer. Pricing is competitive w/ other stores on same models. Once you go over $ 500. there is no delivery charge. They were also willing to help put on a new plug and flex hose on our dryer (each part about $20 I think) for no additional charge. I thought that was pretty d*** good customer service and reasonable. Delivery was as promised, by two pleasant, polite and helpful young men. They did all the connections, tested and balanced everything. Selter's offers a 5 year service warranty on their machines for $99. Normally I don't get these and quot;add-on warrantiesand quot; but in this case, as it is a new, high efficiency model, I thought that was prudent - one service call just to get a guy to come out can run you $ 40. Overall, our experience w/ the guys at Selters was very good. I especially like the no B.S. on quotong prices, and I think they will match pricing w/ their competitors. I would definitely go back. They understand what customer service is all about, and doing the little extras to close a deal. By contrast, Sears at Avenues M.all fell way short in this regard.

We had a very good experience 4 months prior at this upscale showroom when we purchased three other appliances. At that time, we received quotes for the dishwasher, microwave, and range which we were now ready to purchase. Our prior salesperson, Kelly, was not there that day, so Alan Setzer helped us. He informed us that KitchenAid had an across the board price increase since we last received our quotes. He was able to honor (or get close to) the original quotes on the dishwasher and microwave; however, the range would have been a few hundred dollars more. He proposed that if we bought a range that had been previously delivered and returned and was now sitting on their showroom floor, he could honor the original price quote. We looked the range over and agreed. Again, we purchased the 5-year extended warranty for $240 for all three appliances. Again, the delivery was free, but this time the installation was not included. The same, not overly friendly but efficient, delivery crew were on time and placed the goods in our garage since we were in the midst of a kitchen remodel. When it was time, Aaron Setzer came out and installed our dishwasher and microwave at a nominal price. He made it clear that he doesn't touch gas. After much effort, we found someone to install the gas range only to find out that the orifices had been converted from gas to LP (we needed gas) and that one of the shafts was bent. Apparently, when the stove was delivered to the previous person, they changed out the orifices. In all fairness to Setzer's, they would not have known this. Now we were working with Michael Setzer to order new orifices, a new shaft and get someone out to do these replacements. Many phone calls, e-mails, and about 1-1/2 weeks later, we were in business. Would I use them again? Yes, now knowing what resources are available for gas appliance installation. Wish they would have given me a few of those resources up front though.

We were greeted warmly in this very professional/upscale showroom. Our salesman, Kelly, listened attentively to our needs. We discussed the options available on various models. He gave us a written quote for each. One thing I thought a bit strange and was a little leery of...was that no prices are posted at this store. Hence, I took my written quote home and compared prices on the internet. Turns out they were extremely competitive. So, we placed the order and scheduled the free delivery in conjunction with a few hours after we received the keys to our new home. We also purchased a 5-year extended warranty for all three pieces for $280. The delivery was on time. The delivery people weren't out of their way friendly but certainly attentive to any of my concerns. Based on life experiences, I asked them to level all the appliances before leaving. They tested all of the appliances and even cleaned their fingerprints off the stainless steel frig. Yes, overall a good experience.

I received the unit (I had to go to pick it up), then call a different company to install (Ok, that seems reasonable). However, there was missing parts in the set (this would not allow the full set up until the parts were replaced). Setzers would NOT order the new part until I brought the set back (which required me to call the gas installers back out to remove those parts they already installed). Setzers just would NOT believe me, they REFUSED to order the missing part. I had to call my credit card company to resolve the issue...Setzers finally made good on it after the credit card company got involved. Poor business practice, ESPECIALLY since I spent not just the $750 there, but a total of over $2000 on other items before this. I would not recommend this company .
Description of Work: I wanted to give my money to a local company...I purchased a gas fireplace log insert for full retail price.

This one, I was not aware of till now, 6 years later. I am sorry it was as hard to get taken care of as what was explained. Thankfully incidents like this are not acceptable and are not occurring now after our changes in late 2014 to the fireplace department.
