Description of Work: Transformed two thirds of a screened porch into a climate controlled sun-room. Cement was added to the porch floor raising it to the level of the interior rooms. It was then covered with acrylic floor coating. |Windows (with screens) were added to one wall. The existing house walls and ceiling were dry walled and a divider wall with a transom window was installed between the sun-room and the area that will remain a screened porch. An existing house window was replaced with a shorter window and the original house French doors were re-framed in order for them to open flat into the new sun-room. Screens and frames were also replaced on the porch area. All exterior framing was covered with Hardy board and painted to match the exterior of the house. Overall it was a very good experience. |
