Description of Work: I called to schedule an estimate to install propane tanks, piping, etc. for my new gas range. I was promised a call within 48 hours. After more than 72 hours, I called again and the receptionist apologized, and promised that someone would call me that morning. No one ever bothered to call me. I have since heard from other people that Sawyer is notorious for failing to follow up. I will never think of using them again. |

Description of Work: We have had their service for our propane gas needs (dryer, oven/stove, fireplace, hotwater, outside grill). They have been our provider of propane and any service needed pertaining to hooking up or fixing our gas appliances. In the last few years their service has been awful. Called about hot water heater, they never called back to arrange service after promising a call back within 48hrs, then called them back, said I never called in the first place. Then had to call again, told me they were very busy and gave us the name of a contracter. Decided to go with electric water heater put in by someone else. A week later a man shows up at the house to fix the gas heater, no call was ever made to me to arrange. ......also, their gas prices are inconsistent. Would get a bill, call to complain about how the price went up, I would threaten to go somewhere else, and all of a sudden they can drop the price a dollar a gallon. I could go on about all the mess ups with them, mostly not returning calls to set up appointments. Presently am waiting for them to remove my gas tank as I have gone to another vendor. Have been called 3 times, they say someone will get back to me to set up an appointment, I have been waiting 2 weeks.

Despite several phone calls initiated by me requesting the pick up their tank and stop billing me nothing is being done. The phone service is awful, the responsiveness is non- existent, and I'm about ready to call the fire department for their advice. They also had me on a top off budget and instead of returning my overpayment at the end of the year, it took me numerous phone calls and over six months to recover over $700 dollars. That is the primary reason I fired them, after over 25 years. The also did not maintain the tank at all, the rust at the seams was starting to make me nervous. I'm not sure if they have a gas leak into their offices, but do not use this company!
Description of Work: Invoiced again me for an LP tank that has bee disconnected since last year, then dolled up with a phone call demanding payment.

These people give the impression they do not want your business. It was an awful experience and they really appeared not to care. We went to them wanting to get information on a gas insert and logs for our fireplace. We were told we had to call and make an appointment with the salesman but he was on vacation for the next week. A week later I called the salesman; he said he was just going into a meeting with a customer and he would call me back when he was done. He didn't... to make this story shorter, this happened two more times and a third time I left a voicemail. I admit, this was now my fault, I should have just called someone else... but, we get our LP from Sawyer, so I gave them multiple chances. We finally hooked up and the salesman came to the house, took the information and said he would email us with a proposal. I had to call to remind him, twice. Finally we got a proposal and said, lets, go with it. Ten days later we got a call from them to schedule an appointment for them to come do the work. We picked a date and were told they would call that morning to give us an idea of when they would be out to our house. We mad arrangements to be at home, but, didn't hear from them that morning; so I called around noon to find out that we weren't on the schedule for that day. I asked them to check again and tell us when we were on the schedule. I was told we weren't so we would have to schedule an appointment. I said, that is enough, cancel the order. The following Monday, a technician calls and said he was scheduled to install the order and was on his way. After waiting over two months, we decided to let him come and install it. So, he did. There were some issues, including the remote didn't work properly so we called to have someone come out to look at it. We were told it would be two weeks before someone could get to us. I said, don't bother, we would find someone who had some pride in their work and cared about their customers. Would I recommend them?? In my opinion, they displayed the worst customer service of any non-government organization that I have ever dealt with. Run away.... don't walk. RUN! Go to a company that cares.

The purchase went well. Just want to express that after 4 years my pilot light needed replacing and Sawyer Gas told me to look on the Internet for the company who made my gas logs, explaining that due to liability with their insurance they would not service the pilot light replacement.
Description of Work: I purchased gas logs from Sawyer Gas.
