 + 0 moreI was a bit frustrated initially because we called the night before and was told someone would be out by 730. They called at 730 to say that the plummer was still on a job and it would be later. At 930 I called back irritated because we hadn't heard from them in two hours. The office told me that they were really busy which is fine just notify the customer so that they don't think you forgot about them. We rescheduled for the next morning. Maynor came out and was wonderful. He explained everything to us informed us of the price and got to work. I felt very good that he came out. I would recommend him to everyone. He is the main reason I would use them again. Thank you Maynor for all that you did to help get us back to a normal life.

drain cleaning
 + -1 moreOddly enough, the clog had to be removed from the roof, and the technician did remove the clog successfully after a considerable amount of time. Furthermore, the technician arrived on schedule, was friendly and professional, and did the work as promised. My only issue was with the price which was $250. I later found another company to do the same job for just $85.

 + -1 moreWe had a frantic call from a neighbor on Saturday that there was water coming from our house, we first called the county to have water shut off and then when we found out what the problem was ( a water pipe break by our foundation , but outside the home where the main water line comes in) we called around to find a plumber. A few companies were able to get to in a few days, which didn't work for us. We ended up calling Roto Rooter, St Augustine later Saturday evening, but they called back that night and were out the next morning to take care of the repair so we could turn water back on at the home. The plumber Daniel that took care of us was very helpful, responsive, considerate, re-assuring and experienced. We couldn't have asked for a better experience for what started out looking like a very scary and stressful situation. The repair was completed in about an hour and Daniel even installed a new Ball Valve so water could easily be shut off at the home next time, gave us some hints about what to do to prevent any further issues and, since no one was home at the time, what to do when we returned to make sure the lines in the house were flushed free of any sand that may have got in during the break and what to do to make sure the sinks and all faucets were running well afterwards. The price was very reasonable with no extra trip fees, just a reasonable hourly rate, especially for a Sunday, a small amount for parts. We will certainly call Roto Rooter again and recommend them in the future- dealing with a professional who takes pride in his work and provides excellent customer service is a rarity these days and we were very appreciative we chose to go with this company for the repair.

 + -1 moreThe technician did not snake down the toilet drain, but instead, broke the ceramic pipe leading to the septic system and snaked it from there. He then patched the broken ceramic pipe with a beer can! And, did not install an access, where he created the damage. If this were the worst of it.... maybe I would have rated them a "C" for ghetto quality repairs, but to make matters worse, the technician called me on the number I provided to ask me out! REPEATEDLY! For weeks! I DO NOT RECOMMEND ROTO ROOTER DUE TO THE POOR QUALITY OF THEIR WORKMANSHIP, THEIR ASTRONOMICAL PRICES, THE DAMAGE CAUSED TO MY HOME/PLUMBING, AND THE SEXUAL HARASSMENT! IF YOU ARE FEMALE, OR HAVE A WOMAN IN YOUR HOME, DO NOT CALL THESE PLUMBERS. TOTALLY UNPROFESSIONAL FROM QUALITY TO BEHAVIOR! Luckily, I had my septic system pumped out within the month and their tech actually snaked backward from the septic tank to the bathroom, and removed the original clog. (at no extra charge! and he was a gentleman...)

Snaked the drain, Cleaned up and advised on routine care and a Product they carry ROTO-ROOTER PIPE SHIELD. I purchased the product. I also used the Angie's List Coupon. I will definitely use this Company again if needed.

 + 1 moreI really appreciate the promptness in Rotor-Rooter fixing the problem. The tech had to dig up the pipe in the pouring rain and fix the problem. I now know who to call for any future plumbing problems
Description of Work: They first unplugged the clog in the drain. They then put a camera into the pipe and found the problem. They then gave me an estimate for the fix. They came out the next morning and dug up the pipe and replaced the bad piece and refilled the hole.

They go above and beyond, take care of what they need to and if they got something else, they'll go ahead and fix it while they're there. They show up when they said they're going to, really cleaned-up after themselves and never had any issues with the work they performed. I used them for probably for 10 years now and never had a problem and never had an issue with these people.

 + -1 moreThis was completed on a holiday. The pipe under the sink had been broken off in the wall at the tee. Mike, the plumber arrived within an hour of the call. He provided a fair (more than fair on a holiday) price. Additional parts were required which required Mike to stop by Lowe's to pick up the needed supplies, this did not change the price. Once completed, Mike referred me to another company that could look could provide me with a free assessment of mold risk from my flooded kitchen. Mike also showed me an an additional water cut-off location in case of future issue. Overall a good experience (not that having a pipe broken and water flooding my house was a good thing, but could have been much worse, other companies contacted didn't provide service on memorial day or did not call me back).

 + -1 moreMy chief complaints are: 1- the 'guarantee' seems useless as I call back and get a hassle from the plumber when he arrives. Now I still have the original trouble and feel as I have no recourse; 2- the unprofessional attitude of the second plumber bad mouthing Roto-Rooter to me the customer. Just bad business and so unprofessional. I will not be calling them back.
Description of Work: I had leaking outdoor faucets at my rental property. I do not live on site and asked for a heads up so I could meet them, and the dispatcher was perfect about giving me a call when the plumber was headed to the property. I had 2 faucets leaking. -Faucet one was wet all over. He 'repacked it'. I do not know what that means but it appeared to stop in the moment. -Faucet two was wet all over. He said it needed a new hose bib. He removed the old bib and installed a new one. This all took about 10 minutes. It took about 10 more minutes to run my payment through. We agreed that the leaking may have stopped. He stated that it was guaranteed and to just call back if that didn't fix it. Three days later, I am back at the property and both faucets are leaking (wet all over). So I called again and they sent out a different plumber. He started out by quoting me a $150 per hour charge. I stated I had told the dispatch this was a call back. He had to go to his truck and verify. He came back and said it was a 'new leak' and 'he can't work for free, that the company won't pay to correct someone else's work'. I said again, I am not a plumber so I called Roto-Rooter to 'fix my leaking outdoor faucets'. They still leak and the work was supposed to be guaranteed. I was very unhappy about this no guarantee. He went back to his truck 2 more times, once to call the first plumber and once to call the office again (and to smoke more cigarettes-and he walked onto the property to talk to me with a lit cigarette. I had him get rid of the cigarette as this is a smoke free property and it is just plain unprofessional). He said the office said to go ahead with repairs. He removed a part which he said needed replacing and drove away to get a new part. He was back in less than 2 minutes and said he could re-use the same part on Faucet ONE. He reused the part, tightened a nut and it stopped dripping. He refitted the same hose bib onto Faucet TWO with new putty. BOTH faucets are still 'wet all over' which is the original trouble I called to repair. I have lost confidence and will NOT call them back as I am back at square one, less $85.00.
