I needed an electrician. Went online late one night to Angi and Rodney called me first thing at 8 am said he could come out that morning. Everyone else wanted to come out then give me a quote, some couldn’t come out for a week. He gave me a quote over the phone. Great price for the high quality of work conducted. We worked out a time and he was on time and very professional. He was able to troubleshoot my problem quickly and took the time to show and explain to me what it was. My house is from the 60’s so older and the wiring is a bit funky. I will definitely use him again in the future and recommend him to neighbors and friends.

Rodney replaced our panel box (a requirement from our homeowners' insurance carrier). His price was reasonable, and he communicated clearly to us about scheduling and costs. He arrived on time, and he left the workspace neater than he found it. Our experience with this company was very positive. We were hard pressed to find a company who could do this in the short time window the insurer gave us. We appreciated his workmanship and professionalism. I rarely write reviews, but R.F. Electrical warranted this one.

for the wiring that has been installed in my circuit breaker has been tripping because there was problem. the circuit breaker is arching, and the company who is monitoring my electricity said its a "fire hazard" but he keeps ignoring it. I argue with him yesterday and told him to come back because I need to use the spa because of my back problem. He said he don't have any open time and keeps ignoring it. The issue is the wiring that he installed, but he's trying to find another problem with my house to divert the issue. The thing company also talked to him last saturday and keeps explaining what is wrong with the wiring but he said that there;s nothing wrong with it.
Description of Work: he installed separate wiring for circuit breaker of my spa.

Had an appointment to wire a 120 volt spa, ran an independent circuit from electrical panel to spa with 2 junction boxes digging from one box to the other where spa is located burying underground cable connecting a 120 volt receptacle that he already had which was slightly melted on one side, informed the member of the issue and moved the receptacle to the new location where the spa is going plugged the unit up everything was working fine then I left days later received a call saying the spa keeps shutting off went to the member house twice each time everything was working perfect when I did a voltage check the second time I went I even changed breakers around to make sure it’s not a breaker issue Member refused to listen to me explain to him there are certain requirements you have to follow when you have a 120 volt spa like not being able to run full blast with heater and jets on all at once Member informed me that he has some kind of 3rd party monitoring system that tells him he has arcing in his house. I ran new wires from electrical panel to spa receptacle and I also double checked my connections once again while member was standing beside me and everything looked good even voltage was at 120. Member wanted me to dig up my underground cable which was a 25’ trench pull up the wire because he thinks the wire underground has issues I informed the member that my voltage tester is not reading low current flow and that I can’t just replace brand new wiring that I buried based on a non code compliance 3rd party company that’s telling him it’s reading an arc. I suggested that I can come out an install an NEC code compliance Arc fault breaker and that breaker will trip off it senses any kind of fault. I made 2 trips to resolve the issue one trip I checked the two boxes for bad connections & voltage the 2nd trip I swapped breakers around with the spa waited an hour while the spa was running and everything was fine then I left only to get another call from member saying the spa breaker tripped after running it all night. I informed the member that you can’t run a 120 volt spa all night and that he would need a 240 volt spa. Member went back and forth with me stating that the 3rd party company says that there’s still an arc. I simply told the home owner that we install Arc fault breakers to detect arcs and I would install one to his spa to see if it has a true spark because if it does the breaker would trip as soon as it’s detected and if it does I would replace the underground wire because he feels it is buried in dirt I tried explaining to the member that the wire I buried is UF cable which is designed for burial. I told the member that my earliest time to come back for the 3 rd time would be in two weeks member insisted that I come back when he wanted me to and that he would call another electrician if I didn’t sue me and make me pay for the electrician he called. I have all text messages from the member and the date I said I was coming back to install the arc Fault breaker which was March 25th, member said he wasn’t going to wait and that he will sue me. At the end of the day I went to the customer house two times to try to solve the issue, I couldn’t come back on his demand and that’s where the disagreement came from. Sorry for any inconvenience been an electrician for 25 years and you can’t run a 120volt spa the same way you would run. 240 volt spa just not enough power and that’s why his receptacle was over heating and melted

Roby the owner was very difficult to work with. He kept changing what we had agreed to and he would say I'm not doing it that way for what your paying! Felt I was being highjacked in my own home. He refused to let me know when he would be here, his crew would say they would be here at 0800 and not show until 11 or 12 and one day not at all. It ended with a heated argument on the phone and when he said you don't have enough money for me to tell you when ill be there, I hung up! He also said he would not finish unless I paid more upfront. The quote he said it would be done in 2-3 days and now it's day 4 he is saying about another week unless we pay more. It's been a stressful week dealing with this. Edit: This is a add on to my previous review, my wife just called me during a storm and said we have a leak! My thoughts were the roofers made a mistake since it's only 3 months old but to my surprise it has a hole drilled in it! Apparently RF electrical left me another problem, brand new metal roof with a 3/4 inch hole in it! I also found a hole in my siding where they drilled thru it to! It's to bad you can only fire a contractor once!
