Description of Work: Grade D+. The plus is because the majority of the time, work was of good quality. The D? Oh, let me count the reasons.... | |A project estimated to take three months has not yet passed final inspection at 12 months. The bulk of the critical stuff happened at between months 4 and 8, with loooong stretches of no work at all. These mysteriously coincided with payments. The larger the payment, the longer the time with nothing happening. I finally redid the draw schedule with smaller payments for a more inclusive list of task completions and got better, albeit whining, cooperation. | |The project encompassed two parts, but the draw schedule was made based only on one. Thus until I redid the draw schedule I was paying a percentage of the whole cost for completion of a percentage of only part of the project. If you use Remodelling Pros go over the initial contract very carefully and include all parts of the project as well as penalties for late completion. | |The owner was completely inaccessible for all of our concerns. No phone calls were answered and most e-mails had very delayed responses. Consequently, I ended up as my own general contractor, calling subs to find out timelines and problems. Ultimately I also ended up paying subs and backing it out of the final payment, because several of them refused to finish their work until they had been paid. At least one sub told me I could have had much the same look with a much less expensive product. |The further we got into the project, and the more pressure I brought to bear, the more slipshod was the work. A sub did the initial sheet rocking and did a beautiful job, but patching and revisions were done only after dire threats and one area was never sanded once. Same with a floor that needed leveling. The post level was only minimally better than the pre level and I ended up just settling for a wall that reads like a Braille version of Shakespeare and a floor only a drunken sailor could love, because I was under tremendous pressure to get painting, flooring, and furniture moving done before my parents' fixed move-in date (six months into the project). | |Their web site states that they have "last day breakthroughs" so as to not inconvenience the owner. However, they broke through a wall to put a door and owner lived with saw dust and a plastic covering for over a month. Site was not cleaned up daily, sometimes not for weeks and sometimes not until the owners did the cleaning. Tools and trash left everywhere especially fast food trash and cigarette butts as well as construction trash. | |In summary, if you have lots of time and energy to devote to it, and are willing to be pretty picky up front in terms of scheduling work-for-pay arrangements, you will probably ultimately get a decent product. I say this, of course, and yet we've not had the final inspection....

Description of Work: Purchased and installed energy low-E argon gas vinyl windows and new luxury vinyl throughout multiple rooms of house.

Description of Work: This provider was responsive and professional when he came to give an estimate for the sun room we wanted built and the house reroof. He gave us a verbal estimate but did not take any measurements to get that estimate. We were not impressed with that fact. We hired a different company to do the work.

Description of Work: Keith was very helpful in each area of the projects done to improve the exterior of our home. He connected me with capable and professional specialists for stucco work and exterior painting while executing the exterior wood ceilings in front and back. He also connected us with a gutter company which we had remove the old and install new gutters.... All work was done in a timely manor and we are very happy with everyone who worked on our home. Overall a very pleasant experience.

Description of Work: Initial bid process for adding closet space to the master bedroom and turning a half bath into a full bath.

Description of Work: Faulty design & construction on our back deck caused leaking and flooding in our kitchen & a spare bedroom. What we thought was a simple job, quoted at $900, turned into a major re-construction of our pool deck and back deck. Keith was very open and honest about our options. The "surgical demolition" they did on the faulty work saved as much siding and beams as they could which kept our final bill lower than it could have been. Description of Work: Remodeling Pros was contracted to build an outdoor living area beside a new pool. The design included a half bath, kitchen area and storage room. Although I had a general idea of the floor plan, Keith provided excellent design services and several CAD renderings to give me a better view of the proposed project. This was a tremendous help in the planning and budgeting process.

Description of Work: Before hiring Remodeling Pros we were in the process of working with another Contractor (Jacksonville Home Improvements) that company was a joke. After being strung along for a total of 18 long agonizing months with no results, we were forced to take a big loss and fired Jacksonville Home Improvements. We interviewed many other Contractor before hiring Remodeling Pros. Hiring Remodeling Pros has proved to be the best decision we could have ever made. Remodeling Pros added approximately 750 square feet to our existing home. Prior to starting construction we had a small combined kitchen and dining area which was demolished and rebuilt from scratch by Remodeling Pros. Remodeling Pros designed and built a new separated dining and kitchen area. They extended our family room to add 6 additional feet of living space which included new floors throughout. The project also included a new master bedroom with a walk-in closet, the closet was also designed and built by Remodeling Pros. they designed and built a new master bath with a huge stand alone shower. We also added a large laundry room. We originally had 8 ft ceilings and Remodeling Pros designed to give us vaulted ceilings throughout. They installed new windows throughout the entire house which also include a stand alone garage area, The entire house got a brand new roof. the whole house was stuccoed. They designed and built an extend gable roof to include an additional foyer space. They also built an open air Patio which we intend to contract the same company to enclose at a later date. We also contracted the same Company to design and build a circular paver driveway for the front yard, as well as designing and installing paver walkways for the backyard. The project has been completed awaiting final inspections. It has been a pleasure doing business with Remodeling Pros and we recommend them very highly to anyone, We will definitely do business with them again..
