The sales person came to the house and gave a presentation on what the company can offer and the price. Well, I was very disappointed there is a 3 year contract and a monthly fee of $44.00 to have the house monitor by them. That's $1,584 for three years and if you forget to cancel your renewal your stuck paying them again for another 3 years (maybe the monthly fee may increased too) ! After spending over $2000 plus for installation in 1996, I thought they can reactivate the system and give you that option if your want your home monitor.. It's really not fair to past customers, like myself to sign a contract, just to have it reactivated. I've never signed one in 1996. So this must be something new with their company and other companies that I contacted. Again, I'm very disappointed to have spent so much on a security system that I can't use unless you have it monitor with a price to pay. What a rip off they did to consumers. And by the way, make sure you read contracts very carefully and you fully understand it before signing and read reviews by other customers as well. I'm looking at the wireless security systems that you can installed yourself and save money.. I read excellent reviews by other customers.

Chatted online with representative last night. Gave error code details on one zone not showing READY. Rep on line walked me through any diagnosis I could perform. With that unsuccessful, she arranged with me to send a tech. This morning, Tech Ken called ahead to advise he would be there shortly. Arrived well within the time the rep online advised tech would show. Tech was professional, polite, well mannered. Quickly used his equipment to discern which window was the problem. Removed old magnet and installed new replacement. He explained why a weak magnet would have caused the problem. Checked whole system to make sure was working well and being received by alarm company monitoring. I asked for any additional advice he might give me on the use of my alarm. He advised that I should use it on instant mode at night and during the day should I be home and not stepping in and out of the house. He related a close call with a customer who would have been better off with instant on than with delayed mode as she had left it. Daytime intruder kicked down front door during the day when she would not normally be home. No alarm sounded immediately on 90 second delay mode. He opened her bedroom door which woke her up from her bed. Then the delay kicked in and sounded the alarm. He ran away at the sound of the alarm and customer was okay. But instant on while she was home during the day would have been smart. As soon as intruder kicked the door open, alarm would have sounded. Good advice from the tech. Tech removed all tools. Explained no charge for service. Shook my hand and went on his way.

My husband really liked them. They were incredibly patient and showed him how everything worked.

I have had them forever. They call me every time the alarm goes off. They are very responsive, if I have a problem or can't figure something out. They have a great setup so it is user friendly. They call within a minute if your alarm goes off. I accidentally set of the alarm and left and the police came. I pay the minimal amount and several times I feel they went beyond what they had to do.

I have used them for years. I have no problems with them.

I have a very old system, and they were very good at repairing it instead of trying to talk me into a new one. They are not always trying to sell me more, and I appreciate it. In fact, they think of me as the grandmother of customers as I have been with them for long. They are very good, responsive, trustworthy, do a good job and all of that; however, like many companies, they use an 800 number that goes somewhere else in the country, and I wish they didn't because that drives me crazy, but I understand their reason for doing so. Their local repairmen are not only conscientious but understanding too when I am trying to explain the problems on my own since I am not a professional alarm person, and I will have to say that when I call their regular alarm people, they are very responsive, and they are always patient when I am trying to explain to them what's going on. I would rate them highly in all aspects since it's been eighteen years that I have had it, and it was two years old when I got it, and they don't try to make me buy a bigger system with bells and whistles as I am perfectly content to change batteries. They really have been as loyal to me as I have been to them.
