I have used Peninsular since 1995 when we bought the house they have been great & I'm pretty sure we've had the same tech for 20 yrs or more.

So far, so good. Quote was fair and quick. 1st treatment done. We'll see after about 6 months!

First off, we bought a house that had been foreclosed for almost two years. Even prior to that our neighbors had informed us that the previous owners mowed, but never bothered using the installed irrigation system. Weed species moved in, the developer only did an okay job of prepping the lawn before it laid St Augustine grass sod, and for long periods the yard probably got less the the recommended amount of water. Bottom line, WE KNEW THE YARD NEEDED WORK and were willing to spend them money. To be fair some weeds died, but as the summer has progressed new species have come in and the Peninsular team hasn't done anything to counteract them. The good St. Augustine grass hasn't spread near as much as they suggested it would after 3 months of service despite watering the yard to the max extent 'legal' per local instructions. At first the company responded to our account login generated messages, but the last few were never answered. Two friends who own lawn mowing companies informed us they were shocked we haven't seen more development in the lawn after three month. We've also had two irrigation come in to reroute our irrigation system due to home additions and they commented it doesn't look like they kept putting weed killer on the lawn. Bottom line, I typically am the type who is severely against use 'chains' and prefer to use small companies whether it is yard related or a restaurant. In this case I would have liked to start elsewhere. They are all friendly, but I felt the quality of the product (including the documentation that got uploaded to my account which was incorrect or not complete) is not the best you can find in the area. The final straw was when the autogenerated appointment was allowed to lapse and they never scheduled me for that service. If I wouldn't have inquired I am not confident that 6 week treatment would have ever been scheduled. Perhaps a lawn that is already in great condition that would have met my expectations, but if you are looking to rehab a lawn I would look elsewhere.

A detailed quote was provided prior to actual service appointment. Very professional, friendly, and quick. Would definitely recommend this company to others and will utilize their services going forward.

We actually used Angies list to initiate contact with this provider and we got a call back on the same day even though it was a Sunday. George and a technician named Michael came out on Tuesday. Both of these gentlemen were very professional and did a great job. George was very knowledgeable and answered a lot of questions for me. He was very thorough during the termite inspection. He reviewed my options and provided these in writing. He did not pressure me to make a fast decision and did not rush me for payment. In fact, he provided payment options that made it easier. The technician who came out to treat my home for termites was also very professional and prompt. He worked very hard and also did a great job. I have been impressed with this company from the first contact through the completed treatment. I would highly recommend them to anyone. Great family-owned company. Excellent customer service and professionalism.

We first talk to the receptionist who was friendly and very informative. We set an appointment to meet MR.Mike for an estimate and what needed to be done. We adored Mr.Mike he was so informative polite and we just trusted him from all his knowledge and his kindness and honesty he gave us. Once we talked to him he gave us two different estimates for hat would fit our budget. The company was also willing to work with us for payments as we just bought the house 1 week before and all out funds were gone. We then met Mr.Cory the tech that came and did the treatment and he was also awesome to talk to and informative. We also got estimates from two other companies but they were more in cost for less work. Even if they were the same price we would have gone with this company mainly on the treatment we received from Mr.Mike, keep up the great work sir:)

I have used this vendor for several years but either due to employee turn over or inexperienced trainees their services has dramatically declined. Most recently I purchased two pallets of sod and a hired two people to help me put it down. I have put down sod several times over the years and expected this would be an enhancement to my house. A few days after installing my sod a replacement technician came out to my house as the normal guy was on vacation. Not sure of his training and background but my normal guy said he was the "New Guy". Well the new guy almost immediately fertilized my yard and treated it for insects/bugs. Multiple sites that I have reviewed said not to fertilize new sod until 4-8 weeks after installation and wait 4 to 5 weeks for bug/insect control. Well apparently the new guy didn't notice the new sod and said what to h***? I will just follow my list and not ask any questions. I had been watering at least 3 completed cycles of my sprinkler system each week and then hand watered and ran the particular zones on extra days. To check my water bill we used 23000 gallons of water over this last month. I was told today by the service manager my yard was dry and the new sod didn't take root. He felt no responsibility for an irresponsible worker and offered me a $35.00 credit. Counting my two pallets of sod at $350.00 and about $200.00 for labor and about $50.00 for some top soil underneath I am out about $600.00 and facing a do over. Grant it everyone makes mistakes, some times you have to pay for your mistakes and hope we don't make the same one again. This is enhanced by training and reinforcement of principles. Based on my 35 years in customer service and 20 years serving my country I don't appreciate someone not taking responsibility for this. More than 70 percent of the new sod is burnt to dead. It looked great for a short while. I terminated service with this company today. The funny thing is I have referred several coworkers and also my neighbor who all signed up for service. Wondering how I will influence people on what kind of decision to make tomorrow???????

We always receive plenty of notice and are happy with the service.

Great service, very punctual and fairly priced. I was charged $75.00 for three months. Their website is easy to use and response time was wonderful. I have been using them for a year now and I am going to extend the service to include outside extermination and lawn care as well. Angie's list helped me find them and I am thrilled about the level of service I have received from them.

They are good. They are responsible and show up when they are supposed to. If I’m home, he just knocks on the door and lets me know he’s there and he’s out in the yard. The yard looks good so I’m happy. They give you a lot of information when they come. There will be like a little newsletter too with the bill and stuff. It gives you little tips on what to do with you yard. I haven’t have any problems when I talk to them on the phone or anything. No problems, that’s good.

We needed same day service after discovering some carpenter ants. This was the only company we found that was able to get someone to our home on the same day (within a couple of hours). Not only did a sales rep come by, but the technician also came just after signing an annual agreement. The service technician went above and beyond our expectations to be sure the pests were exterminated immediately. I highly recommend this company. They are very punctual and professional, and have competitive prices, with a guarantee.

I recently looked at competition for competing bids, but they were still the best deal in town, I've used them for 2 years and have been exceptionally happy. Prior to the two years I was going through a different lawn service/pest control every year, but I've been so happy with them that I've stuck with them, and even recently got my 2 neighbors to start using them

The do a good job. They were on time. I don’t have bugs. Rick comes each time. They call each quarter and we agree on a date. The price was good. We have been using them for at least 19 years.

We had rats in one of our rental properties. This provider had to come out several times to take care of the issue and we were happy with the service.

Great, Paul is knowledgeable and took time to listen and understand my goals for my lawn. He showed concern about the impact of the services on the environment and my pocketbook.

I've been a Peninsular customer for approximately 1 year and could not be more pleased with their service or the end result! LAWN HEALTH: After initial treatments for various lawn issues (primarily poor ph and wide-spread weed infestation) they come out once a quarter for upkeep. They were very upfront about what they could - and more importantly what they could not - fix and what I could do to help mitigate weed-like grasses in the future (like bag my mower clippings). I could not be more pleased with the end result! I knew my starting point was less than ideal and therefore set reasonable expectations - meaning I did not expect to see beautiful green grass in 30 or even 60 days. It was not a quick process, but the end result is simply amazing! My neighbor across the street whose yard I've always envied has SWITCHED TO PENINSULAR because of the remarkable transformation of my yard! I do believe that is the highest recommendation anyone could give Peninsular :) PEST CONTROL: I am equally impressed with their pest control. I opted for exterior treatment only. I saw a noticeable change in the insect-arachnid population and I have not seen a mole or any mole activity in months The fire ants were completely eliminated and the carpenter ant population while not eliminated, has been vastly reduced. I've also noticed a substantial drop in spiders and frogs. The one time I noticed carpenter ants inside the home I called Peninsular and they quickly came out and retreated the outside areas which resolved the issue. It should be noted they offered to do the interior at no additional cost as well, however I declined. Overall the technicians are professional, courteous, prompt and knowledgeable. I most highly recommend Peninsular!

He does an overall view of the landscaping to see if there are any issues and what he would apply to our lawn. He checks to makes sure that our dog is not in the back yard first and he doesn’t leave the gate open. He puts liquid fertilizer down and potassium. I love this provider; he is very kind and knowledgeable. He answers my question and goes the extra mile to explain things to me. I really like his service.

I have been using Peninsular for 9 years now and I wouldn't want anyone else in my home. First my technician, Gene, is very professional, polite, and accommodating. He shows up early so I can let him in before I leave for work. On occasion I have let him in, run out the door, and had him lock up. I have no hesitation in trusting my home (and cats) to his care. And effectiveness, of the product and service, is of course the most important factor when it comes to pest control. I have been using Peninsular since the home was built and I've never had an infestation or pest problem of any kind. This says a lot considering my back door is less than 7 feet from the edge of a wooded preserve. I did have one tiny issue with the service once. I had seen a couple roaches near my doorway on a couple of occasions. I was unsure if they had just gotten in from the door opening and closing or if a problem had begun. So I called to set up service a little earlier than usual. Gene was out of town so another technician came in. He did not bait and since there was a possible bug problem I was not satisfied. I called the office to let them know I wasn't happy with it and why. They were so professional and were more than happy to send someone out to bait right away at no charge of course. The customer service was exceptional and I imagine had there ever been a major issue they would have handled it likewise.

I research the company and 3 other companies. By far, Peninsular was the great choice for: Promptness, Professionalism and Price. I called back Mr. Paul , and again I am impressed, Promptness and Professionalism was there. He came back after an hour and reviewed with us the services his company will performed. He made annotation on the side of the service contract (which by the way is an agreement and can be cancelled anytime) to performed the services which were not written specifically on the agreement. As for now I gave N/A for Quality because the actual service has not yet been performed. I will make a follow entry in the next three months and give you more details.

They did a great job. They are so professional and knowledgeable about lawn care.
