Description of Work: We rented a home (sight unseen) in 1993 that was completely infested with those little German roaches. Although our landlord refused to pay, he told us he used Penisular Pest for his annual termite inspections. We called and had them take care of them. We ended up having to take our pets and leave our home for about 8 hrs but they got rid of them! We were so impressed (and so afraid of another infestation) we signed up for monthly service and continued with the service until we moved out of the area a couple of years later. | |We have now been customers since purchasing our home in May 2000. We started out with monthly indoor/outdoor service before switching to outdoor quarterly service and have never had any problems. Our technician, Corey, always calls a day or two in advance to let us know the day and approx time he will be coming. Because of my work schedule, I rarely answer the door when he comes, and I don't need to. He shows up, sprays around the entire house, leaves the invoice in the door, and is on his way. During one visit, he noticed one of the tires on my car was flat and left me a note to make sure I was aware. | |Over the years, there have only been a couple of times we had to call them out for an extra service call. The times we needed the extra visit were when we found more spiders than usual around our screened porch area. There were no additional charges when they made a seperate trip. It was just another service they provide. | |When we found a nest of wiggly worms in a small tree of ours, I called for service and was told they no longer provided tree service. That didn't stop them from sending someone out, free of charge, to check out the tree and provide feedback on what they thought it was and how we should handle it! | |When asked by friends how I handle pest control problems, I always tell them I don't. I don't have to, because Penisular Pest handles everything for me!

Description of Work: I contacted Peninsular because of the inordinate amount of weeds in (primarily) my back yard. Mike, an employee of 34 yards, and the technician that covers my area informed me that my yard would basically need to be re-sodded/seeded and that it would be waste for them to treat my yard because I would essentially be left with a dirt lot. He also advised how my magnolia tree in my front yard could be pruned to allow more sun in and keep the grass beneath it from dying (any further). Mike told me that if I chose to sod in the future, they could treat it to help it establish. | |I was very impressed with frankness that Mike provided and didn't try to make any promises that he couldn't keep just to get me to pay for service. As a result, when I am able to either seed or sod my yard, I'll be contacting Peninsular to service it!

Description of Work: I have used these folks for my Termite Service since 1990. They are a good shop and I have no reason to look for an alternate supplier.

Description of Work: I was extremely impressed with my consultation meeting today with John Lewis from Peninsular! New to the area (from WA state), we have no clue regarding pest control and lawn care here in FL (military family). John saved me from paying for something I already had (termite bond came with house) by having me read my own contract (with another company mind you) that I had failed to take the time to look over. When I asked him for additional quotes for lawn & pest care, he quickly assessed our yard and explained thoroughly our pest and lawn's needs and what they'd provide, as well as gave do-it-yourself tips. When I lamented the fact that I already had a contract with another company, he explained I could get out of that contract. Another company's salesman made me feel like a big idiot for signing that contract but lo-and-behold, I just easily cancelled it. I never felt patronized and belittled at any point with John and believe me, it was not one of my sharpest days (or months) by far! I'm so happy to be working with a company I can trust and save $300 a year doing it (and I'll be getting more service). Highly highly recommend!
