I am very pleased with the results of my investment. Mr. Pearson does excellent work. He takes his time and does the job meticulously. Not only does the house look great; serious maintenance issues were addressed. The windows look new and the garage door was "resurrected". Wood was replaced and it was sanded down to the bare wood in some places. He took his time and did a beautiful job. And..... I know problems weren't just covered over with a coat of paint. They were addressed. I bought peace of mind. I highly recommend Paragon Inc. if you value quality work.

I got to meet the owner and he was a great guy. I told him about my dad in Iowa and that he would give him some additional business. They did a stellar job with the services.

Overall, the job was excellent. Mr. Pearson came to the home to review the work to be done. He inspected the outside of the the home, estimating the time involved, size of the home, and the materials needed Prior to the work, he provided a written estimate, detailing the work and agreed-upon price for the service. On the date of service, he worked carefully to remove all the mold, mildew, and insects. He applied fungicide to problem areas and pressure washed all areas. The home is restored to its original appearance. The Florida room sparkles. In addition to pre-treating and pressure washing the agreed upon areas, he also cleaned the chimney which was not included in the original work estimate. The home looks great!

Tim is very professional. He was prompt and curious. He called me each time before he arrived. He performed an impeccable job. He went out of his way to take a piece of my siding to match the paint color. It was a perfect match. I have some indoor projects that I will have done over the next year. I will call only Tim.

Will not go into detail about this man, but will not use him again.

best experience ever

I found Paragon Painting and Pressure washing through Angie's List. Tim Pearson, the owner immediately contacted me. We discussed the condition of a 4 year old 780 sq ft deck that due to improper construction and questionable wood, was rotting out and dangerous to walk on. Tim gave me an estimate for replacing the deck, including building a larger one, approx 1000 sq. ft, adding a larger fish pond which goes partially under one side of the deck, a 5 ft waterfall, a raised portion of the deck covered by a very nice arbor, four matching flower boxes and 5 new french drains. He also included pressure washing our home and walkways. From the start I found him a pleasure to work with. From start to finish he was on the job every day as promised. He was always attentive to our wishes, making suggestions as to what might work best for us. The new deck material used was better than code required. 2x12's where 2x10's would have done, 4x6 pilings instead of 4x4's. The pilings were set in 4' deep 12 inch concrete forms, The entire deck was built without a single nail. All connections were made using coated deck screws. We made several design changes during the construction and Mr Pearson was very good about incorporating them for us. He spent a good deal of time directing us to different websites to look at ideas for our deck and we used many of them. Each day when work was finished they would clean up the area before they left not wanting to leave us with any more mess than was necessary. Portions of the decking are laid at a 45 degree angle with picture framing around them. One section of the deck by the fish pond is raised and covered with a towering arbor. When it came time to build the balustrading Mr Pearson suggested a beautiful pattern topped with red cedar rail and copper post caps. The overall effect is stunning. The agreement with Mr Pearson was that i would provide the material per his specifications. I feel this worked to my advantage as i actually paid all the bills as the material was delivered to the job site. This was the way Mr. Pearson preferred it and I did too. The fish pond he built is partially under the deck and required landscaping. Mr Pearson did so using rock and plants and it looks great. The entire experience with Paragon Painting and Pressure washing was totally satisfactory and at every step Mr Pearson was willing to go above and beyond the required effort. I will definitely contact him again when the need arises. Construction around or in your home can be very traumatic at times but Paragon Painting and Pressure Washing did their best to make this a pleasant experience. We actually were sad to see it end.

We called a few different places for estimates. Paragon came when he said he would and did just that. We chose him because of his knowledge, experience and fair estimate. There was a lot of work to be done. Paragon came at the times he said he would and kept in touch with us. When he had a question or when we had one, he made himself available. In my experience it can be hard to get a return phone call from some people. He did a wonderful job and he was very thorough. We definitely plan on using Paragon again. I highly recommend them.

My wife and I wanted the pressure treated wood on the front deck replaced with "Teak". Needless to say teak is extremely expensive wood. Mr. Pearson had so little wastage that it was negligible. When finished with stainless steel screws the deck had a beautiful red appearance and looked exotic and magnificent. It is a real pleasure just to look at and a wonderful piece of craftsmanship. The damage to deck on the back of the property was extensive and it was in generally poor condition. Mr. Pearson replaced it with new wood and once again the finished product was immaculate. The painting of our home with an elastomeric ( rubber) coating the lanai and decks took Mr Pearson on his own almost exactly one month to complete. He arrived everyday early and worked late with few breaks. He is an honest, cheerful individual who is obviously very diligent and meticulous. Truthfully, I spent a lot of money on these various projects. However, I believe that the true value of my home has greatly increased due to the projects undertaken it has been the best money I’ve spent in a longtime. So often in life there is the promise of something wonderful from contractors but the finished product falls far short of your expectations. I am happy to say Mr. Pearson does not fall into that category of individual, he is indeed a master craftsman.

I chose three companies for estimates, but Mr. Pearson was the only one to get back in touch with me, so I chose him after reading the reviews on Angie's List. It took some time for Mr. Pearson to get started on my house because of rain delays on his previous job, but that didn't bother me. Mr. Pearson and his assistant did an outstanding job of steam cleaning my roof, the brick on the house, and the pavement around the house.When they finished replacing some of the wood on the chimney and painted it, it looked fabulous. With the newly painted trim on the house, porch and beautiful finish on the front door my home looks new and clean. There were a few extra surprises that Mr Pearson worked on and they turned out as excellent as the rest of his work. He looked after every little detail.

During the painting of the exterior of our home my wife and I had asked Mr. Pearson to remove the popcorn ceiling in our lanai which was not exterior sheetrock and had deteriorated considerably. We asked him to replace the sheetrock it with a tongue and groove Douglas Fir wooden ceiling with a 1 inch trim beneath it. As an aside, we had two 5 foot by 15 foot steel windows that had corroded due to the beach weather in St Augustine. Mr Pearson made quick work of the removal of the windows and sheetrock and immediately started replacing the ceiling with the Douglas Fir. The ceiling and wood trim for the windows was so beautiful that my wife and I were amazed at the transformation. The craftsmanship was top notch and without a shadow of a doubt has greatly increased the value of our home. Finally he applied not the typical 3 coats but 7 coats of exterior Valspar urethane which gave the wood a deep amber appearance and the finished product had a deep lustrous appearance. Mr Pearson never takes short cuts when completing a project. While my wife and I would be satisfied with a particular project, Mr. Pearson has his own much higher standards as to the completion of the work and is not satisfied until he is 100% happy. My thanks to Paragon for their attention to detail and quality craftsmanship.

Tim was very eager to give a thorough estimate, and revise it to do what I wanted. Once he began, it was obvious that he over his head with the work load. Instead of partnering with other painters or helpers, he tried to do the entire 2 story house by himself. As a result, he worked extremely hard to accomplish the job, but instead of taking 2 or 3 days, he took over 2 weeks. Had he had a partner, he could have finished the job, and gone onto the next one, much sooner. Toward the end, he was trying to finish my house while having to start on another one, due to his commitments to his next job. In the end the work he did was indeed VERY GOOD, and I definitely got a great job for the price. But he constantly whined about how hard it was, how much work it was, and how exhausted he was. When all was said and done, he asked if there was ever anything else I needed, to just let him know. Later, I found another (smaller) project I thought he would be good with, and thought he would be happy to provide an estimate. After several attempts to contact him about the new work, he never even gave me the courtesy of a response, much less an estimate. So I guess in the end, even though he did an excellent job, I guess I will NOT be using him again. In addition, he WOULD NOT accept the 10% discount coupon available to Angie's List clients, UNLESS I GAVE HIM AN EXCELLENT AND OUTSTANDING REVIEW on Angie's List. In essence "buying" a good review with the 10% incentive. He had also mentioned that had I shown him the coupon BEFORE he gave me a quote, he may have accepted it. (If you think about it, that's like saying "if you would show me you have a 10% off couponin advance, I'll increase my quote, and then give you 10% off with the coupon.")

Tim's quote was in the middle of the ones we obtained. We chose Paragon because of the good reviews on Angie's List and the fact that he does the work himself. Tim is a very pleasant, polite and professional man. The work was started on the day that we were told it would start and Tim put in a full day every day until the job was completed. We are very pleased with the work performed. The house looks great. Tim did a really thorough job painting, touching up and cleaning up.

Received estimates from three companies to paint the trim work on my brick home. Although this company did not offer the lowest bid I contracted with Mr. Pearson to do the work because I liked how he presented himself and his company. I was so impressed that I waited for two weeks while he finished another job.

Overall, my experience with Paragon Painting has been top-notch. I met Tim as I was going out of my back gate to walk the dog. Tim was putting a flyer advertising his services on my gate. We began talking and I told him I had some painting jobs as well as some handyman jobs that needed doing. He looked at all of them before I settled on the front railings of the house which were rusting and in desperate need of attention. But let me back up, as I was showing Tim various projects inside the house that I thought needed renovation, almost without exception, he told me they didn't really need to be done. He said they were wants, not really needs and he would prefer I spend my money on projects that really needed it!! Anyone else would have jumped at the chance to take my money regardless of whether these jobs needed doing or not. His honesty was refreshing and very welcome since it saved me quite a bit of money that I really didn't have to spend on these projects in the first place. His work on the railings was very time-consuming and dirty, but he stuck to the price we had agreed on even when he went through several grinder heads and had to rent a machine! He is the best painter I have worked with. I highly recommend his services.

From the time I reached out to Tim via Angie's List until the final project was complete, the experience working with Tim was first rate and his work product very positive and worthwhile.

I would highly recommend Tim Pearson and his company, Paragon, to anyone who asks. His knowledge of construction is vast and his professionalism is 2nd to none. The job took 2 months to complete and I never had to wonder if he was going to show up that day. Many of my mothers furnishings were still in the house during the job and Tim took great care in protecting my mothers memories. At the end of each day, the house was left clean and debris placed in the dumpster I had rented.
