PALM TREES BY TRENT

We bought over $7000 worth of palm trees from Palm Trees By Trent in December. Over 10% of the trees were dead. They flat out lied and said they would replace them. It has been 8 months and still no replacements, all of the while telling us they would. To make matters worse they finally told us it would cost $1400 to replace the four dead trees. All of this after being a customer for 20 years previously spending over $12,000 on their trees. Do yourself a favor do not bother calling them, they will rip you off like they did us. You would have thought they would have appreciated all of our business and referrals. Buyer Beware!!

I called Palms by Trent because I was interested in planting palms on my property. Scott was nice on the phone and helped me come up with a plan based on a pic of my home. He then came out to my home to confirm landscape ideas and followed up with a price and I accepted . Scott then told me they would do the job the following Thurs, but call me the night before to confirm. I was billed ahead $1650. I never got a call Wed, so Thursday am I called Scott to inquire why I had not heard anything. Scott gave all kinds of excuses, then said how about Monday? All though red flags were up I decided to give them another chance. However , that date was the freezing cold snap and I became concerned that this would stress out my plants, so I reached out to Scott to ask about the weather and he did not respond. At this point, I decided that I should not allow this company to do my landscape job, so I texted Scott that I wish to cancel that Sunday, the day before the job. He then called me and was argumentative, so much so that I had made up my mind that I had made the best decision to not use them. The next day I got a call from Trent, the owner of company. He almost talked me into continuing the job, but I held strong and said no. It has been several weeks and still I have not been refunded. Now I must file a billing dispute with my credit card company and leave this negative review. This company claims to have been in business for 30 years! There is only 3 reviews of them 2 of which are negative.

Very pleased with the job. The price we paid ($500) was considerably less expensive than other bids we received to remove the very mature and large palm tree.

They did a wonderful job and brought spectacular trees. So much so that I went to the nursery and picked out some more palm trees to have planted next week. I highly recommend Palm Trees by Trent. They have an unbelieveable inventory of palm trees and Scotts is very helpful and has a vast knowledge about palms.
