The job was finished today and I am very pleased with the work. Mr Nordin was very professional, showed up when he said he would and took pride in his work. He was referred to me by a painter doing work for me and I’m extremely happy I decided to hire him!!

Excellent. Quick response on holiday weekend. Repaired broken door then checked and aligned other overhead door and all sensors while here. Experienced and professional.

The whole job went perfectly. I contacted Mr. Nordin in early July of this year for the above job. I chose him because of the perfect Angies reviews as well as his ad indicatiing that he deals in CHI brand doors. We have an insulated CHI door on our attached garage and I wanted one like for the metal building. Mr. Nordin got back to me quickly and said it would take about 2 wks to get the right door in. In two weeks he called and set up an install date which was July 19, 2019. Apparently, Mr. Nordin works alone. It was clear that he prided himself in doing what he says he will and when he says he will do it. His workmanship was excellent and he worked surprisingly fast for working alone. And he cleaned up the jobsite beautifully when finished. I would not hesitate a moment to call Mr. Nordin for any of my door needs in the future.

It went great - Joe just left and he was very professional and knew what he was doing. He had the garage door working in about half an hour.

Joe came out right at the promised time, inspected the issue and went right to work fixing it. He repaired the chain and cable, reattached it and gave the garage door a going over. Runs great and he was pleasant, professional and courteous. Great service call.

Joe Nordin was very professional. He provided a reasonable quote over the phone. Then called on his way, the morning we'd set an appointment for the work as planned. He arrived on time, was very honest and up front-- gave me the option of him repairing my broken opener (for substantially less money) or replacing it entirely. I opted with replacement due to the age of the unit. Joe got the job done in less than 2 hours and the new opener is working like a champ. I also have the piece of mind he warranties his work in case of any issue in the first year. I will be calling Joe again for any future garage door needs!

Better than imagined! I called Joe after being blown off by another provider and not hearing back from them in two days. I explained my situation and Joe provided a quote over the phone and was able to easily walk me through looking at the springs to determine what was needed. He also brought another opener just in case, but stated if the current one was in good shape there would be no reason to upsell. That alone was comforting and in my opinion the consumate professional. Joe stated he had a couple more stops but thought he would be here no later than noon. He was about 20 minutes early and was done in just over an hour, which included thorough testing and tweaking to ensure the highest quality of his work and the equipment met his standards and my satisfaction. Wow! This experience was so awesome I am writing my first Angie's List review. My neighbor was headed out of town and ended up with a garage door stuck in the wide open position.... thus, an emergency. I researched companies for him on Angie?s List and we picked Joe based on reviews - best choice we could have made! We called around 9am and he arrived before noon. He diagnosed the issues in just a few minutes, and wrote an extremely reasonable estimate to get it working again, $60. He expertly repaired the door, which had been problematic for years, and it operates perfectly now. The job ended up being more complicated and time consuming than expected, but Joe insisted on only charging what he quoted. While Joe was at my neighbor?s home, I had gone to work but asked if he would take a look at my non-emergency garage door opener problem (door had not worked in 2 years as the brackets had broken off the garage door opener pulley system). I had avoided repairing it assuming everyone would tell me it was 20 years old and needed to be replaced = $$$. But not Joe! Within a few minutes he called to let me know how he could repair it and get it working that day good as new for $100. Not an easy job so I was surprised at the estimate. I arrived home to find the door in perfect working order ? smoother and less noisy than I ever recall. He even trusted me to pay him later as I was not home when he finished the repair. It?s very rare these days to find such an honest, knowledgeable, genuinely kind and efficient service provider. I am so happy I found him through member reviews on Angie?s List! I was extremely impressed by Joe and how smoothly the process went. My garage door opener is about 10 years old so I figured the morning that it wouldn't close that it had finally crashed and burned. I called Joe about 9am that day and he was out before noon and had fixed the problem rather quickly. Keep in mind, when I first called him I asked him if he replaced garage door openers because I figured it was a total loss. When he fixed it in under an hour he told me it was still fairly new and wanted to save me some money. He could have really taken advantage of that but he didn't. Not only did he fix the issue, he cleaned around the sensors and fixed the springs. Also got rid of the horrible squeaking that I'm sure all my neighbors appreciate. I won't hesitate to call him again and have already suggested a coworker use him.

Contacted Joe late Saturday afternoon after the spring on my garage door broke. He said he could get out to my place Monday morning and gave me the price over the phone. He texted me Monday morning to let me know he was on his way. Once here, he replaced the springs, lubricated the door hinges and rollers, inspected the sensors, and adjusted the garage door opener. Joe was professional and courteous, and everything is working great now. If I ever need garage door servicing again, I'm calling Joe first.

I called Joe at 8:30 am and he was here by 10:30. Very nice man. Very knowledgeable, efficient and personable. Will definitely call him if we need service on our garage door in the future. Thank you Joe!

Joe went above and beyond expectations to fix the problem. He was prompt even came out the same day, and the quoted price was exactly what I paid. Joe serviced the complete door system, providing preventative maintenance, and tips to keep the system in good working order. I highly recommend Joe over the higher priced big named repair companies.

When I called Mr Nordin regarding a garage door opener that would not work, he was kind enough to offer me phone advice as to how I might try to fix it on my own. ( Problem was in the way I was trying to reprogram it.)

I called Joe because I had one of the franchise dealers come out first and the prices took my breath away - a thousand dollars to get something with a warranty. Plus they charge to come out and give you the estimate.The unit Joe installed was complete with warranty and was installed expertly, including sensors and remotes in about an hour. His experience and workmanship are worth waiting for (had to wait a few days for him to come as he stays busy). He is honest, pleasant, and came exactly when he said he would and called beforehand to let you know he was coming and cleaned up all the materials and disposed of the old parts - nothing left behind to clean up. I would recommend anyone call him first.

Contracted with Joe Nordin to fix a bent garage door that would come off the tracks when raised. He was able to to fix the the door and added hurricane bracing with minimal cost. Great job for a great price.

Joe Nordin, the owner and installer, was an absolute pleasure to work with. I had measurements and pricing provided by a few companies, but chose Nordin garage service due to this reviews on the site and the fact its a privately owner, small business. I spoke with Joe initially on the phone, gave him the measurements, and he was able to quote me a price over the phone. He also informed me he could have them installed within the next 10 days if my schedule allowed it. His price was extremely fair, and he went above and beyond to make sure I was satisfied. With the house being built in the 1950's, Joe ran into some additional issues he had to repair himself, which made the installation take a bit longer than anticipated. However, the pricing never changed even though he did la ot of additional work. He even moved the locations of the garage door opener button to be easier to push when entering/exiting the house, as well as the garage door "eyes" from the floor onto the actual tracks to be more accurate. I would HIGHLY recommend Joe Nordin for ANY garage door service you may need. Not only is his price fair, but he will strive to make sure you are 100% satisfied. I will be using only Nordin Door Service for any garage door service in the future.

I researched Angie's List to find a Person or company to fix our garage door. I chose Nordin's Service because I was impressed with the reviews, there had been service done for folks in my area, and the prices seemed reasonable. I called this morning and spoke with Mr. Nordin and made arrangements with him to come by at about 5:00PM. He was on time . I found him to be a very pleasant man....easy to talk with. He went right to work and had the door opening properly in short order. He even fixed a place where I could see a small bit of daylight under the door. I wrote him a check and as he was about to leave, we checked the remotes and they would not work. So he checked the batteries I had just replaced to make sure they were in correctly. When the remotes still wouldn't work, he tried a new one he had in his truck and it wouldn't work either. After checking everything out, He thought the problem must be the circuit board. He said he could order one....once he checked the numbers, He thought he might have one with him. He did.....he replaced the board and the remotes work now. We think perhaps a power surge or something of that sort may have caused the problem with the circuit board. I wrote him a check for the difference and he left. A few minutes later the phone rang and it was Mr. Nordin...He thought he should check on something he might have forgotten. So he came back to check it out. Now it needs to be understood that we have a larger than usual garage door. We had a conversion Van when we built the house, but a smaller vehicle now. My adult son is disabled and it may seem a luxury to have a remote operated door. But when you use a walker or a wheelchair there is no such thing as staying dry when entering or leaving a vehicle on a rainy day. I am very pleased with the work Mr. Nordin has done. I am very grateful for his persistence in finding the problem and for his help.

Joe went right to work removing the broken springs and replaced with the springs with ones that I requested, he also oiled the springs and all the hinges of the door, readjusted the garage door opener to make sure that the door closed and opened. if I need any work done to my garage door again he will be the first one I call.

Mr. Nordin got to the source of the problem and fixed it. The job went well and the door opens and closed quietly. He is very easy going and nice to talk too. The price was great as compared to quotes from other's companies. I would hired him again for any future problems. I highly recommend him.

Not only did he replace the spring but also serviced it. And all on short notice.
