Mister Sparky

Mixed feelings here. Called because my bathroom exhaust fan in the house we just bought does not vent to the outside; it vents to the attic. Read online that this is very bad and should be remedied. Called Sparky to come to look. The woman on the phone was VERY nice, professional, and helpful. We scheduled an estimate for a few days out. The two Sparky techs showed up on time and were very professional. However, they were here for less than 5 minutes, never looked in my attic, said it is fine to vent to the attic, and charged me $50 for coming out. The woman with whom I scheduled the estimate did tell me about the $50 but also added that it would be deducted from the cost of the work when the work was over, which makes sense. I guess...if the issue was THIS simple (needing NO visual inspection of the attic and only a cursory glance at the bathroom)...seems like a wasted trip that could have been handled with a 30-second phone call. Seems like they just wanted the $50. Everybody I interacted with was professional. It just felt a little...odd.

June-July 2020: I had (3) projects completed by Damon/Mike of Mr. Sparky's. The first job was installing a GIFI switch on the front porch. The second job was supposed to be installing an interlock switch in my main electrical panel for my generator (though due to the age of the panel we settled for an exterior recessed plug outlet). The third job was running an electrical feed and installing a sub-panel into my workshop. During these three projects we had some glitches (as in this kind of work happens frequently). But, Damon, Mike and the Sparky Management made them all good and I would recommend Sparky to others because of their willingness to bend, good work quality and desire to provide overall customer satisfaction. During the process all the workers were courteous and knowledgeable!

Was advised by a telephone repairman to have my grounding checked as it was possibly faulty. Electrician was dispatched within a few hours and after inspection told me my house was up to code when built but there was a new code and that I should have no problem as is. He waived the $59 service charge as my "military discount". I'll use them next time I need an electrician.

As a retired Electrical/Mechanical Contractor I was pleased with the work product of the company. Professional and expeditious.

Had to come back to redo the work - the fan he installed stopped working properly within 24 hrs. The initial charge was ridiculous. We stopped payment on the check, and they adjusted the bill down 50%.

We had a small wiring issue and Travis came out and fixed in quickly. Courteous, professional and super nice! Plus he gave us some ideas of things to do in the future with our ancient home electrical system. Thank you, Travis!

Damon was extremely professional and gave us a quote and installed our project same day. He was courteous the entire time and the work was well executed. Will be using him in the future for other projects needed around the house.

I give this company high marks for quick response to my need for an electrician and pleasant office personnel. But I found the technician that was provided to be less than personable. Since my need was a bit urgent and only had that day to accomplish the small project, I did not have time to get a second or third quote for the job and hired him on the spot. (Probably paid too much). When I saw that he had placed the outlet needed for a new dishwasher close to the front of the under sink cabinet instead of toward the back where I had suggested/expected it to be placed, his response to my displeasure was change is good! Well I should have made him change it to a position less in the way of other functions of the space. There was no reason it could not have been placed further back in the cabinet other than it would have been harder for him to reach. In his behalf, though, I admit he did go above expected needs to pull out the old dishwasher to gain access to the existing electrical line for conversion to the 3 prong outlet. Overall, I feel he was hasty in all aspects of the job and would benefit from taking a slower, more deliberate approach to his work. Brandon was promptly dispatched a second time to adjust the outlet placement for better use of under-sink space. The new position is a great improvement. I appreciate everyones effort at Mr. Sparky to accommodate my needs and desires. Brandon also took time during the second visit to look into another outlet problem which turned out to just be a loose wire and a really quick fix. Thank you to all for a job well done.

The technician who came to my home was named Travis. He was very polite and efficient. He was able to diagnose the problem very quickly. He even answered a question for me that was not related to why he was there. I would definitely call him again.

The Tech was so great, professional and courteous. Very skilled, finished in just over an hour did two projects; removed old and installed new bathroom vanity lights..and removed old ceiling fan and installed a new one. He even carried away the boxes they came in. Price was lower than other estimated. Will DEFINITELY use them again!!

Electrician came out to give an estimate but ended up completing the job right away.

Sven was amazing! Knowledgable, professional, time efficient , & worked hard to accomplish the job in a timely fashion.

The replacement of the switch seemed expensive but the electrical line is fixed and order exists in the kitchen now.
