Description of Work: Was supposed to provide an estimate for changing a window and replacing some vinyl siding with brick.

Description of Work: Manley Construction Group fixed the hole in the roof, checked for and repaired the resulting water damage, repaired the huge sheetrock hole made to repair the water damage, replaced the exterior siding on two attached townhomes, painted body and trim on the townhomes' exterior, replaced the eaves' screening and rebuilt the entrances for both units, installed new doors on both fronts and laundry rooms, installed new screen doors on both units, installed a motion detector light, and built access into the attic..

Description of Work: Damaged siding was removed from one side of my home; replaced with hardi-board at level of 42" which matched railing height along the front of my home. This small detail was Rob's suggestion, which added to the professional look of the finished product. Cedar trim was used to match rest of home... In addition more damaged wood was removed from 2nd story area and was replaced w/ T-111 (to match the upper part of the home). Flashing was placed around the 2nd story deck to prevent further water intrusion and gutter extensions were added to allow for better flow of rain away from the wood (should have been done when the screen addition was placed 20 years ago- who knew?)... In addition, the home was pressure washed and painted using Sherwin Williams top end paints- I initially wanted Duration- however, it went "off sale" by the time Rob went to purchase the paint and we agreed to the Emerald paint (more eco friendly, and "on sale")... this allowed the project to continue without the company having to lose $500 in the process. Win-Win hopefully! The important part of this point is that Rob and his crew are very professional and would have gone with the original paint quoted; however, I didn't want them to come "out of pocket" to do so.

Description of Work: We used Manley Construction for a re-roof on our 35 year old home. The shingle roof was approximately 20 years old and we had some leaks. We also needed a new covering on our 9 year old flat roof associated with a porch we had put on that also had leaks. Of all the solutions offered by the companies who quoted the job we liked Manleys the best.

Description of Work: We had our old wind and hail damaged roof replaced with a new roof. It was also necessary to replace some of the old damaged wood on the roof.

Description of Work: Due to a new 2012 wind mitigation rule, the new homeowners insurance policy I switched to in late March, notified me June 1st I had to repair or replace my roof and siding, and prove it by June 15th or be cancelled on June 19th. I called approximately 30 contractors on Angies List and only received 10 quotes. Rob Manley, owner of Manley Construction Group was one of the last quotes I received, but his written estimate was the most professional, the most detailed, and since I did what little homework I had time for to get this project done on time, his price was fair and reasonable. He was very customer service oriented. Didn't sound like the used car salesmen or try to talk me into anything. He told me things I knew to be true and was very honest. It was an awful lot to ask, and couldn't have come at the worst time as we had Tropical Storm Debby delivering stinging waves of sideways rain and winds. Because of this unusual amount of rain, a few days before the job was to commence, I called Rob, and in the rain, on his own time, when it was almost dark, he brought out a tarp and wood and secured a cover over the area which was leaking. And even before this, he obtained the building permits for me so I could have them uploaded to my insurance company which ended up giving me a short extension since I was able to prove I was having the work done. Rob's roofing crew showed up. I have a lot of dormers and a lot of damaged/wet areas to contend with. His roofing crew was phenominal. Even the building inspector commented on their rhythm and work ethic and the incredible quality job they were doing. I didn't want to get too excited, afraid something bad would happen, but it was the best experience in the middle of this insurance induced chaos. A week later, Manley Construction Group began tearing off old lapboard siding which had been recalled before I purchased my home but the previous owner failed to disclose this information. I planned on getting new siding or brick a few years earlier but financially had to keep putting it off. There wasn't enough time to research as much as I would have liked, but Rob Manley spent a great deal of time answering my many questions and figuratively holding my hand. I also must mention the Manley Construction Group professional crew who did my siding were amazing. They were the most talented group of guys, they worked their tails off in horrible heat, and the quality of their work and their attention to detail was much more than I expected. They paid the same attention to the caulking and painting portions of the job as well. The property is clean, and I have a brand new home which is beautiful, and up to the latest wind mitigation standards. I've referred several neighbors to Manley Construction

Description of Work: My sister used this company for roof replacement and siding also. The cost from this company was considerably less than other roofing companies yet quality is excellent and dealing with Mr. Manley was very pleasant. His honesty and dependability are far above the other two companies we had been working with in getting estimates. I highly recommend this company for price, quality, and dependability. You can rest assured that you are getting the best price and quality which is hard to get. I assure you will be very pleased with them.

Description of Work: Researching roofers on Angies list, getting proposals and speaking to the owner, picking Manley Construction was a great choice. They were on time, had the dumpster in our drive for only one day. They were organized, efficient, and polite. and to complete all the work, they cleaned up al the metal pieces that might have fallen when they were done. In addition, they finished the chimney surround getting the correct paint color and making the roof with the new skylights, and vents all look wonderful. We are very pleased to recommend Manley Construction to anyone wanting a new roof.

Description of Work: Replaced T111 siding where wet/damaged; repair areas of termite damage (included replacing some studs); replaced damaged trim around windows; found leak in A/C drain and repaired leak and siding that was wet due to leak; remove shutters for re-use; replaced plank siding on entire second story of home; rebuild chimney which had serious water damage; caulk and seal entire home; power wash the home; prime and paint the entire home; replace shutters on home.

Description of Work: There were multiple tasks: small roofing repairs; general maintenance; small yard trimming; small woodworking repairs; a little electrical.

Description of Work: NOTE: The cost of the gutter was included in the cost of the roof and siding. The crew who installed the gutter arrived the afternoon of September 1st. It was remarkable how quickly they made the gutter and had it ready to install. I took them around the house to show them where the gutter needed to be installed and it seemed like in no time, it was up and they were finished, Prior to leaving, they asked me to come out to double check that everything was as it should be. The only thing I had a problem with was the way two of the downspouts were angled and they quickly changed it to my satisfaction and left. They did a beautiful job of installing and knew what they were doing. Excellent work that showed they like their jobs and are good caring people and I would highly recommend.

Description of Work: Roofers arrived about 7:30 a.m. on Wednesday morning; very prompt!. They brought in a huge trash dumpster and loaded all the shingles and supplies on the roof In addition, because of my husband's truck sitting in the driveway, which would not start, they were kind enough to move it for me. After all the supplies were loaded on the roof, they left for the day. on 9/1, they promptly returned around 7:30 a.m. and removed all the old shingles, black paper and accessed what rotten wood would have to be replaced. Once all the wood was replaced, they made their way around the whole roof, adding more nails to wood to bring it up to the new Florida State code. Once this was completed, they then began to lay down the 30 pound black paper and once this was completed, started working on the shingles. It must have been around 7:00 or after when they finished, then made their way around the perimeter to ensure all the old scraps of paper, old shingles and nails were picked up (they were extremely thorough) and then left. The next morning the dumpster was hauled away and you could not even tell that anyone had even been there except when I looked up and saw my beautiful new roof! I was extremely impressed with Rob and his group and can't say enough good things about the way everyone worked together to give me an AaaaHaa moment and put a smile on my face. I would HIGHLY recommend this company and if I needed more work done or knew someone who did, I would recommend Manley Construction. NOTE: I did come out to Angie's List prior to hiring Manley Construction and saw the comment one person made. All I can say is maybe that person was just having a challenging day (we all have them at sometime or another) because if he would have taken the time to explain to Rob what the problem was, I know in my heart that this company would have resolved the issue. That is just the kind of person Rob and his group are and as far as I'm concerned, he did an excellent job and I would hire him again!
