+ -1 moreI requested consulting for a pond owned by my father, who, due to a recent hospital stay and medical diagnosis, could not care for his pond, and I knew nothing about what to do. They immediately made themselves available and provided helpful guidance and care! Very knowledgeable, professional, and caring! Afterwards, I showed pop pictures of what was done, and it brought a smile to his face! I will be using them in the future!
Description of Work: Water in the fish pond was low, filters needed to be checked, and guidance was required on how to care for large koi in the pond.

+ -1 moreThey came out to give me an estimate which was very reasonable especially since another firm wanted to take the ponds and stream apart and rebuild them for which they quoted $15,000 as they only way to stop the water from draining. The called to confirm appointments in advance and were very professional. I have already recommended them to someone else. I am also happy to report that water is not draining out!!!
Description of Work: I needed two small ponds and connecting stream cleaned out as the pond was draining out of water in 2-3 days

+ -1 moreI just purchased a house in the Jacksonville area, and with it came a koi pond. I had no experience whatsoever with taking care of fish or ponds. I called K&R Ponds, and they came by the house, examined the pond, and answered all my questions. They told me the pond was in good condition and offered advice about how to properly maintain the fish and filtration system without charge. Honestly, they could have told me anything, and I would have went along with it, but they were very professional and helpful. I will gladly use their services in the future if needed.

Description of Work: I had an existing Koi / Goldfish pond that had a leaking plastic shell. |K & R Pond Care provided a large temporary holding pond to house the fish until they could get the materials and be available to build a new pond within the existing site, 3 weeks later. Rick and Kim brought all the materials and reformatted a new pond, considerably deeper, using a 45 mil liner, a large amount of landscape rocks and our existing pond pumps and filters. They did the whole pond construction process within a day and came back a week later to provide a new pump and filter with a UV feature to keep algae contamination at bay.

They came out, drained and cleaned pond. Told us what we needed to do for the upcoming year for maintenance and how to care for fish. Will definitely be using for our yearly maintenance or if a problem arises during the year.

+ -1 moreThey put a new pump and also replaced the correct hose that someone before had used a garden hose which I didn't know till they told me and showed me. He really knows ponds very well. He even helped me fix a water flow problem with a pool waterfall that no one else could figure out how. And they don't even do waterfalls in pools only ponds. Nice people.

Description of Work: Im so happy with this great couple! After trying a few different fixes over the year , we, K&R, discussed the revamping of my pond. I couldn't keep up with my back. Great result. They put in UV/pump with a small filter outside of pond. First they cleaned it thoroughly and took fish out. Installed equipment. I'm am thrilled with result! No mold, mud and clear, fish happy. Filter easy access and easy to clean. All eqipment, installation, waterfall arrangement, pond cleanup, all labor was $400. Clean out was $185.

Description of Work: My fish pond (a converted hot tub) was dark green and everything I did, tried, or used didn't work. K&R came out twice and were wonderful. I got an education and was given choice or different fixes. No high push expensive equipment , just starting with basics. They were right on with everything and great people. I am more than pleased!! As far as I'm concerned the few competitors they have do not even come close and from experience I can say don't waste your time on them and call K&R. They do it all with a smile! Husband and wife team that love what they do
