The three man team showed up on time and after a walk through to review all that would be expected in clearing the house, the movers got busy disassembling needed furniture and loading the truck. They worked methodically in emptying the inside, outside and garage of the home. Whenever there was a potential issue with a piece of furniture they were about to move, they called me over, explained what the issue was and asked me what I would like to do with the piece in question. They didn't waste any time and loaded and unloaded me promptly. It was very pleasurable experience and I would definitely use them again and recommend them to others.

Called Helping Hands and spoke to a really kind and informative lady. She provided me with all the details and information about the move so I was well prepared. She also gave a pre-move call the day before to ensure all was well and ready. I was set for a 3 man crew to move but due to extra help they sent 4 well experienced and super nice guys for our move. These gentleman were prepared, focused and nice. The staged everything and started working immediately. Within 2 hours they packed up our house and were ready to leave. The minute they arrived at the destination they began to unload everything where we wanted it and reassembled all items they took apart. They were able to unload in an hour and a half so our cost was substantially lower. These guys did great, moved fast, talked while they moved to give background on themselves, the company and just good conversation making the move more enjoyable. I could not have asked for better movers!

Israel, Ray, and James were the movers, they were very professional handled my household good in an outstanding manner. They worked continuously and were very helpful. This was an hourly rate job and they really worked very hard and very quickly. I would use this company for minor job to whole house moving. Great job!

The 3 guys were professional upon arriving and went straight to work. They were efficient and finished in good time. I would recommend them to anyone.

I am so glad that I found Helping Hands Movers on Angie's List. This was the first time I have used a professional moving company and I was a bit hesitant. I am no longer hesitant. From the phone call with Lori to set up the move to the move done by Robbie, Cameron and Jimmy, everything was professional and smooth. I will be referring anyone looking for a moving company to Helping Hands! I wish they did long-distance moves!

Wonderful experience start to finish. We needed to move from our apartment and our items in a storage unit to our new house. 2 trucks/4 men total. They all started at the storage unit and they were FAST! Very careful with our belongings, but walked and worked quickly. When almost finished with storage, one group/truck went to the apartment and the other finished in storage. This worked out perfectly. The one truck was almost finished unloading at our house when the next truck came in and all 4 unloaded. They finished about 2 hours earlier than expected! I like that they didn't try to ride the clock or drag their feet to get more hours. We've moved several times before and I spent a lot of time researching services. I opted for this place because of the good reviews. Others had more mixed reviews. Nothing fancy about them. You get an initial email with their pricing then nothing until the day before with a follow-up call to confirm. They were on-time, polite, and the lead movers know how to do things right. I would recommend them to friends and family.

Expected the move to be a big headache like my experience with previous moving company, but they were very prompt, courteous and efficient. Could not be more pleased.

They were on time. They departed our outgoing home at 11:30 and arrived at our move in home at 1:00 and only deducted 45 minutes for their transit time. That cost me about an extra $100.00.

The experience was very frustrating, especially compared to how fast they were the first time, just seemed like the movers were much slower and not in any hurry at all.

Another great review for Helping Hands. Every part of the experience from first phone call to last item unloaded was handled perfectly. Friendly, professional, patient, careful, really the best moving experience I've ever had. Prices were fair and reasonable and the final charge was less than the original bid. Everything was very carefully packed and handled. I really can't say enough good about them. Recommended without any hesitation.

3 movers arrived on time, did a walk-through, went right to work. They were careful and very nice to deal with. I would recommend them without hesitation. At the new house, they got the furniture in without damage, and were very quick. Excellent people in every way.

They did what they said they would do, for the price that was agreed upon and were professional about it. No problems what so ever.

We had Helping Hands come for an interview/estimate on October 21st after seeing the high rating they received on Angie's List. They were also recommended by the manager of the storage facility we were using. We also interviewed two other companies from Angie's List. One was over our budget and the other's estimate was close to Helping Hands but they would only be sending 2 men where HH would send 3 men. My husband and I packed ourselves and broke down all the beds and tables. Brian, Jesse and Phillip arrived at 9am on Oct. 25 as scheduled. They were friendly and professional. They worked quickly and efficiently. I was really impressed when they moved my husband's desk, which he built in the room, without any damage to the desk, walls or ceiling. They transported everything in one trip to the storage facility and unloaded with the same care and professionalism. I called my daughter-in-law who was also going to be moving, raved about HH, and she immediatly called and scheduled them for her move on 9 November. She had nothing but good things to say about HH after her move. On December 5th HH met my husband at 9am in Orange Park at our storage facility. They loaded our household goods and had room on the truck for "stuff" we had in a smaller storage unit at the same facility.They arrived at the new house in St. Augustine around 1pm. Everything was unloaded and placed where I wanted it. They put all the beds together as well as the dining room and kitchen tables. Their estimate was spot on and there were no surprises. I would hire them again and did recommend them to the people who bought our house. Note: The October move was from Orange Park to storage in Orange Park and the December move was from storage in Orange Park to St. Augustine.

They came out in advance to give us an estimate of the time it would take to move everything, since they charge by the hour. The estimate included a half hour for the time the crew had to bring the truck out to the pickup location and a half hour for them to return it. A day before the scheduled move, they called to confirm the appointment. They were delayed slightly the morning of the move, but called in advance to let me know of the delay. The three men that came to move us had all been with the company for several years and were very experienced at moving. We walked through the house to show them everything that had to be moved, and I pointed out a few items that were to stay behind. We asked that they start with one particular room to clear it out for our pets, so that we could close the pets in while they moved us. They accomodated our request, padded the door frame of the entry door to protect it and began moving. They moved quickly, were extremely careful, and we were surprised how fast they emptied the house. I was also surprised that they remembered which things I had identified to stay and which ones were to be moved. Upon arrival at the new home, they padded the door and began moving in our things. They asked where various boxes and furniture belonged, and they placed them where I directed them. When my wife indicated her preference that some furniture be relocated along different walls than the ones I had selected, the movers were happy to comply with her requests. They stopped long enough to have lunch, but otherwise were constantly moving for the entire 9 hours. The original estimate was for a little longer, but the men were working to be through by 5:30 so that I could make it to my child's school program that evening. They didn't have to do that, and you can't imagine how much I appreciated it. I was amazed that they did not have to stop to rest. The men were polite, personable, and eager to help with each request. The entire move took three loads in the truck. At the end, they asked me to take a look in the truck to confirm that they hadn't accidentally left anything in it. I signed the paperwork and paid them in cash (they require cash, money order or cashier's check - they let you know shortly before the end of the move the amount to expect in case you need to step out to get a money order or cashier's check). I could not be happier with the move or the guys who helped us out. I selected this company because of the great reviews on Angie's list, as it was important to me that I have a problem-free move, but I still did not know it would go so well. I can't imagine ever using anyone else to move me in the future.

The movers were 20 minutes early. They called first to make sure that was ok. I showed them the storage unit where my belongings were at and didn't realize I left my sunglasses on top of one of the boxes. When they showed up at my new townhouse the first thing they did was give the glasses back to me and let me know I had forgotten them. They emptied the 20x10 storage unit and delivered everything to my house and completed the task in less than 2 hours! They applied the Angie's list discount and I was shocked at how cheap it was. Worth every single penny. The movers were cordial, polite, pleasant and work as hard as anyone I've ever seen. Everything is straight forward. No hidden charges. They took excellent care of all of my things. These guys are worth their reputation on Angie's list. If I ever moved within Jacksonville again, I would use Helping Hands and not thing twice about it. Highly recommend.

I had an early morning move and the crew showed up on time and completed the job in a short amount of time. I was unable to pre-pack many items so they were helpful by offering suggestions, i.e., how they could pack the clothes hanging in my closets. Because I had someone else helping me to coordinate the crew I was much more comfortable since they worked in different areas of the house and it would have been difficult coordinate or to find items when the job was completed. My furniture was unloaded into a large garage so I don't know how the set-up would have gone, but in the house I moved from the crew did a good job of disassembling beds and dresser mirrors, etc. I had to look for a few items like the bottom front of my refrigerator, but the crew was careful not to scratch walls and floors during the job and that was important to me. Overall, I would definitely use them again.

The arrangement for the estimate was handle efficiently and professionally. The estimate itself was made rapidly, and explained completely. When the time to move came, the truck showed up promptly. The 2 men assigned to the job immediately got to work, and worked rapidly and without stopping. The material was transferred within the time estimated, and the unloading went as smoothly as the first part. Everything about the move was handled courteously and efficiently. I will certainly use this company again.
