Description of Work: I am a very picky person and I normally do not fill out surveys. But this is an awesome company if you are looking for movers. From the time they started to the time they finished was around three hours. There were three guys that were respectable and friendly.

Description of Work: Did a short haul move, 11 miles. It was a three man crew - all excellent, hard working, very polite. Went above and beyond on a few things, like helping wrap and pad a glass table top that was very delicate. Moved some very pieces a 2nd time at the desitnation, when my wife changed her mind, w/out complaint. We've done 7 moves, and these guys were great. Tommie, the driver, is a real pro on loading - the experience shows. You won't go wrong with this company -very customer oriented and responsive. Very smooth move, despite torrential rain. I highly recomment these guys; they truly care.

Description of Work: I had called and e-mailed 6 companies on Angies list. they were the only one who e-mailed me back, called and came to my home for an written estimate. I move with in the town limits and moved all the little stuff by car. I hired them for the furniture and appliances. They showed up a little early, and the written estimate was for $450 for 4.5 hours of estimated work. they only worked 3.75 hours and did everything I asked. I did not like I had to pay for an hour of driving (included into the 3.75), but for not having to deal with moving all my stuff, that was worth it. Great company.

Description of Work: We hired these movers to move household furniture from our two story home and deliver to another location. The day of the move, tropical storm Beryl moved in and they were carring furniture in the driving rain the entire time. They carefully protected the furniture, but became drenched themselves. We had them transport the furniture to a temporary location while we were closing on our new home. We made a reservation for them to come back in a week to move the furniture to the new location. Due to banking paperwork issues, we had to cancel and re-do the reservation three times. The company was extremely understanding, and made the changes, sometimes with only a day's notice. The final move was made, and problems getting a too large of a refrigerator through a too narrow doorway seemed insurmountable. The men dismantled the doors from the digital refrigerator, moved it into place, and re-assembled it. At one time, one of the guys got his shoes soaked from a water line that had a defective shutoff valve. He took off his shoes and we put them in the drier. In the meantime, he moved the furniture in barefeet! What outstanding service. These guys are the best. If you are able, ask specifically for Lonnie and Phillip. Other employees are likely quite good, but these two were absolutely first class.

Description of Work: I have used Helping Hands Movers in the past and have been very pleased with their pricing and work. They are very efficient and move things quickly while preventing damage to the furniture and (wood) flooring as much as possible. They padded the front door entrance and the floors where they was going to be heavy traffic in and out. Their hourly rate was very reasonable too. I would definitely use them again in the future but I don't plan on moving for a LONG time :)

Description of Work: In 2010 we used Helping Hands Movers. They moved us from our apartment to our current address. We had everything ready. They moved it from the top floor down. They moved everything from our apartment and then they went to a separate garage and moved everything out of there. It was going to be a two day stint. They moved our stuff from the apartment to the largest storage unit we could rent and then a month and a half later we called them again and they moved it to the house we are in now. They reassembled the furniture and they did it right.

Description of Work: The movers were scheduled to arrive at 0930. The called at 0920 and said there were running about 15 minutes behind. They arrived promptly when they said they would and presented me with the contract detailing the services they were to perform. After signing the contract, they immediately began putting up padding around my door frames and placing runners in my hallway to prevent dirt from tracking or banging up my woodwork. I thought that was a very professional step to take. They were very fast and thoroughly packed the items needing to be moved. They worked together and I never felt as if one person was carrying more than they could handle thereby putting the safety of themselves or my items at risk. They finished within 30 minutes and were ready to proceed to the storage facility. They knew right where we were going and promptly unpacked the truck and finished their work. I was very pleased with their service and the $20 coupon offered on this site. As an aside, they only accept money orders, cash or cashiers check.
