Harry Hayes Plumbing

I hired Hayes plumbing after reading good reviews even though they have a $125 hourly rate. I used them over Touchton plumbing who was recommended by a Plumbing supply store. Touchtons rate is only $95 per hour. However when talking with Harry Hayes I felt he knew what I wanted done and even offered me a military discount. I asked for an estimate based on call out fee of $65 plus expected labor. He initially told me $250-300. I told him to have a plumber come out asap. My tile guy coordinated an appt at 0830 the next day as I was out of town. Instead of the plumber showing up, instead it was Harry Hayes who was not going to do the work. Instead he called me and said he was revising his original estimate to $400 due to it being on a slab. I once again asked if that was the max amount it would be and he confirmed that. At no time did he offer me a written quote or even tell me it was a fixed price. I went ahead and since I had already canceled with Touchton who were scheduled for the same morning and would have saved me a lot of money. I was in a pinch due to his not sending a plumber that morning so I said to get the plumber out. Fortunately my tile guy stayed during the entire work. He barely spent an hour on the job and I was quite pleased until Hayes sent me a bill for $371, included in that invoice was a labor charge of $296! He did graciously give me a 10% discount for my military service, but only on the labor- not the service call fee or the inflated $39 charge for a bit of pvc. Very insulting! After getting quite upset with him I did suggest a payment that I felt was fair and he agreed. Call out fee of $65 plus 1 hr labor plus inflated parts. Funny thing is that he originally charged me for parts it was $38. When I wrote my email back suggesting price I was willing to pay I mistakenly put $39. In his revised invoice he went with the $39. I'm not making this up! No military discount which was a joke to begin with. He did offer to not charge me as he knew I was upset and would likely write a poor review. I was not interested in a freebie, just wanted fair treatment. Instead I found a plumber who was not content with doing good work for a fair price. There aren't many honest businesses out there these days who will not try to take advantage of a customer and Harry L. Hayes Plumbing falls in this category. I would try someone else (maybe Touchton) next time.

Excellent they knew exactly what the problem was and was fixed with no other problems

Work was performed as requested and service was very prompt and efficient.

Harry is top notch and honest. Not only did he do a fantastic job, but he works with a dry wall and painter who follows with very nice repairs after completion of plumbing work.

Hayes plumbing were great. They came out the next morning and we're done in an hour. Very nice and professional. Took special care to not leave any mess. I plan to have them re pipe my house sometime next year.

It now looks great, the water drains out of both the sink and the tub.

The entire process went well, my drain now flows, the ice maker box is not level. Could have used a level as a guide. A little trimming with the sheet rock saw and now it's good.

Eric and Jacob were friendly and professional. I appreciate that they removed their shoes upon entering my home. The only thing that bothered me was that they were going to charge me a trip charge at first when the owner clearly told me they do not have trip charges. They took it off the bill.

Eric with Harry Hayes Plumbing diagnosed the problem with our water pressure that City rep could not find! City employee was required to return and he replaced our water meter. We have done business with Harry Hayes for many years. They are the only plumber we call and have always received great communication from them. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY!!

Excellent job! I had left a phone message re the work and Harry responded back to me right away. He was very flexible in working around my schedule to get the work done as soon as possible. His techs, Eric and Jacob, called ahead to let me know their arrival time, then arrived on time and worked quickly and efficiently to get the job done. It was not easy for Jacob under the sink as the strainer basket was not the only part that was rusted! Great attention to detail by both. And I really appreciated that, before the new faucet was installed, Eric started cleaning the accumulated mineral deposits - I did not even have to ask. Very different from the last time I had a faucet professionally installed! While they were working, I thought of some other minor things that needed to be done. No problem! All done. Wish I could remodel kitchen/baths - I would call on this company again!

They were great! They were on time, professional, nice, and quick. Eric and Jacob did a great job and even offered to do any additional services needed. I messaged them on Angie's list and then had a phone call and a technician on my door step within the next day. It was wonderful and I am glad I have found this company.

It was easy to deal with Mr. Hayes. His employees showed up when they were supposed to and got the job done in a timely fashion - despite having to run out for part to deal with some unexpected complications. His crew was friendly and professional.

Guys showed up at 9 and had it all done by 2. great Job, Great Guys, would have them do more work If I needed it done.

You'll be happy with Harry and his team. These guys go the extra mile and really care about the finished product. They addressed all my concerns and questions, they communicated exactly what they were doing and why. They always asked me before cutting any wall and left the house clean when leaving for the day.

Harry's guys were awesome! On time, clean, professional and very thorough in the installation process. Highly, highly recommend!!

We left 2 voicemails for this company and did not receive a return call either time. Will never try to use this company again.

We got an estimate in Sept. and he met me to go over the job. But we decided to wait a few months.. We then had more plumbing problems. Harry sent someone out the next day and included that reasonable charge with this job. There are tenants there and he went out of his way not to inconvenience them by turning the water back on each afternoon. When the job was done he met me and my husband and he explained what was done.

They were prompt, reliable with time, efficient, kept us informed on any arrival time changes, and on the process they used before and after. We were given a price ahead of time, and the servicemen were aware of that price.

Company employees Eric and Richy came to my home and replaced pipe. Very professional and quick. Even cleaned up my yard where they had to dig out the pipe.

Great job, very professional, very accommodating with schedules, polite workers and cleaned up after each appointment! Harry, the owner, is a great guy - very trustworthy!
