Green Energy Builders and solutions came out and sat with us so that they understood exactly what we wanted to do. The owner has a Master's Degree in Architecture, is a certified General Contractor and is an "Energy Smart Contractor." He helped us to make some "green " choices for our remodeling. We had the kitchen and the bathroom remodeled, wood floors added and we went with the Spray foam insulation. The "green team" as they call themselves, explained what they were doing, they were extremely neat and professional as they were the first time that we used them, last year. I told the owner that someday I wanted them to build me a house from the ground up. He has ideas that I would never of dreamed up on my own. The job took about 6 weeks from beginning to end and not once did I come home to a mess in my house. The spray foam insulation was an afterthought but I can tell you that I'm seeing a HUGE difference in my home. Because of the foam, I didn't need to have a huge HVAC unit and so he saved me money in that direction as well. The owner was present overseeing the job which gave me confidence that it was being done correctly. From beginning to end, they were all professional, polite, and very clean. They were all fantastic to work with!!!

Our experience with this company was great! They took the time to answer all our questions prior to the work beginning, as well as during the installation. The work we had done was also completed in the timeframe provided to us during our meeting...a very hard thing to find with companies these days. This confirmed that we chose the right company to help us with our home needs.

We were shocked to find that we didn't have any insulation. We started with an energy audit b/c we wanted to reduce our electric bill. Our home never really got cool during the summer. The energy audit uncovered that we didn't have any insulation in our attic. There was only a little when you looked up into the attic but none anywhere else. We had tried to do our own window tinting but it didn't really turn out very good. The window tinting they used not only keeps the hot sun out but it also provides us with privacy since people can't really see in very well. They cleaned up our water heater and put a timer on it and also cleaned up our A/C and ducts. They were in and out in two days and we were left with some cool gadgets like the remote control for the solar fan. Our house has less dust and is much more comfortable temperature wise. We also got one electric bill and it was over $100 cheaper (Our bill ususally ran about $225). We can breathe easier and the house just feels cleaner and healthier. Our A/C doesn't run all day like before. Our next step will be the Solar Panels. The representative from the electric company came for the inspection which is necessary for the electric rebate and said the job was "perfect." We are looking forward to working with them for the Solar Panels.
