Description of Work: Blake Worked with us for a couple of years. Left us high and dry with out letting us know his plans. We always thought he was a nice young man , but he turned out to be VERY unprofessional. We were very disappointed that he never let us know that he will do corporate accounts only. He never arranged for any alternate service provider for us either. We hate to give a negative opinion for a person we so TRUSTED. He disappointed us and let us down. We wish him well and pray to the almighty that he is well. SHALL NEVER HIRE OR RECOMMEND (t) his service again.

+ -1 moreVery well indeed. We were very pleased with the complete removal of all existing yard material, including mostly weeds. Soil was well prepared, sod was laid neatly and tightly. We had to water daily during the dry spring, but there are no dead spots. All sod survived and is growing well.
Description of Work: Removed all weeds and grass in front and part of side yard; scraped yard; installed zoysia sod.

Description of Work: Florida turf has been servicing my lawn for the past several years. I find the owner and his associate to be affable, professional, punctual and reasonable in their charges. I would absolutely give them an A with out any hesitation. Excellent people to work with in my experience.

+ -1 moreBlake did a great job listening to what we wanted from our yard. I was very pleased with the thoroughness of the trimming and clean up. Blake stuck to the original estimate of $1900. My husband was impressed with how accurate Blake was when it came to determining the time required for the job, I even told him that when he was done.
Description of Work: We had Florida Turf do a number a things around the yard. They cut back everything that was damaged from the cold weather and shaped the rest of my bushes. Its hard for me to know what to and how to trim everything. They also removed the old mulch from our beds and replaced it with red rock that I have wanted for some time now! They really did a great job installing the border and the rock looks outstanding with the newly painted house! I also had them replace some sod that didn't make it through the winter.

Description of Work: Florida Turf did a tremendous job laying new sod, it has took nicely and my lawn is the envoy of the neighborhood. I am using them again this year for some additional landscaping, because they are that good. I have recommended Florida Turf to 2 of my co-workers and they have said nothing but great thing about Florida Turf.

+ -1 morePerhaps you'll have better luck reaching them, but I feel like not returning phone calls is very unprofessional.
Description of Work: My fiance and I live in Avondale, and needed to have both our front and back yard re-sodded. I saw the great reviews for this company and decided the give them a try. I called and left a message on Blake's voicemail, but no one ever called back. A week later I tried again, but again no call back. We went with someone else. We never ended up hearing back from him.

Description of Work: After telephoning Florida Turf, Mr. Garber contacted me promptly and scheduled an appointment to evaluate the scope of my landscaping job. We agreed on a date and time; however, 4/28/11 came and no Mr. Blake. I contacted him several times (beginning 1 hour after the scheduled appointment time) by phone to no avail and nearly one month later have yet to receive a returned phone call. Ultimately, I hired a landscaper who was able to quote a price and complete the job as contracted. This was a disappointment. A simple phone call would have been appreciated.

+ -1 moreBlake answered the phone when I called. I asked for him to come over to give an estimate, he arrived within the hour. The estimate was reasonable and we agreed for him to do the work. He gave me a date and time for it to begin and end. The only glitch was with the sod provider; the sod was one day later than Blake was told. Blake and one other man were here when the sod arrived and laid the entire area in one day. The job went very smooth and was well done. Blake and his helper were very polite and respectful. He didn't ask for any "up front" money and I paid the entire amount after the work was completed to my satisfaction.
Description of Work: They removed old sod and weeds, prepared the earth for new sod and laid the new sod.

+ 0 moreThey did a very, very good job. They were prompt. The estimate was realistic and they stuck to it. They did a professional job. They were good and we were happy. We originally planned to pave the backyard but that was over $7,000 so we decided to go this way.
Description of Work: We used Florida Turf to put in a new backyard. We had a big problem with flooding and they leveled it. They took the high ground and spread it over the low ground; then they put in new sod. They also did some other things such as they sunk a barbecue pit and shot some rain gutters over to a little gully that runs behind the house.

+ -1 moreBlake came out (on a Saturday!) to assess and give me a dollar estimate of the job. He also gave me, when they would start and complete the job. There was weather permitting to extend the job a day or so; however, Blake called and communicated what was going on and when the job would be completed. (which is what most customers want, - just to know what is going on). He was very flexible with my schedule as well. He knew that I would be working in different areas of town and was patient to wait until I got home for us to look at the end result and for his payment. The job he did was exactly what I wanted and with no mess to clean up.
Description of Work: Open up a bed to eliminate a problem grass area.

Description of Work: Rick took care of my winter cleanup for the one acre lot I have. He trimmed all the bushes a lot of them exactly how I wanted them. He cleaned out all the beds and re-outlined them. He trimmed all my hedges. He removed, separated and replanted hundreds of irises and lilies and new plants I purchased. Two-day job. He offers regular lawn service mowing, edging, weed eating, trimming, the whole works, starting at $30 a week! Young man, very, very polite and eager to please.
