If I could rate this business zero stars, I would. Their customer service is horrible and all they want is more money! We had a Rheem system installed in our rental property in 2012. In 2016, we found out the original installation tech (who, by the way stated himself he wasn't qualified to do the installation, but did it anyway) didn't install the drain line properly, which ended up flooding our garage. Another tech came out and fixed it, after which time we purchased a $15/mo. home maintenance plan so as to prevent further failures. In December 2016, a tech supposedly came out to do the maintenance and found a leak. Remember, this unit is less than 5 years old! The tech also supposedly informed my property manager, but when I spoke to her, she'd never been contacted by the technician. Then in March 2017, another maintenance call occurred, and the technician yet again did not inform my property manager. Finally, later that month, a failure occurred, prompting another service call. The technician wanted payment by credit card up front before he would even look for the leak! Then, finally, after trying to reach a manager for several weeks, I finally hear from him, and I'm told they're going to charge me over $1600 IN LABOR to fix the part that is under warranty. For a unit that is LESS THAN 5 YEARS OLD! I could understand if the unit was nearing 10 years, but for such a new unit, this is robbery! I know for a fact I can have it fixed for half of that, and the technician my property manager used didn't even charge to find the leak! Florida Home AC is yet another one of those companies who bilks their customers out of money and provides sub-par service. When confronted with the situation, the manager just shrugged it off as if he didn't even care! Needless to say, we will be cancelling the Home Service Plan, and we will be using another provider. BUYER BEWARE!

Florida Home AC used to be a very first class firm. But since they were bought out by a large national firm and became associated with Home Depot, their service has gone downhill, prices have increased dramatically and their workers have misdiagnosed several issues. They charged me for refrigerant since it is not part of the warranty, but later found out that the problem was not even repaired, so we had to get it fixed a second time. Every time you talk to them about a problem, they want to sell you something, often a new system. They are constantly hitting you up to make upgrades to your system at significant cost. When you get a second opinion, other firms will tell you that it's a scam, although not illegal, just predatory practices. I used to use them for all my HVAC needs, but no longer.

They guy who came out wasn't an installation technician he was a service technician but that was the only person available to do it so I would say make sure you get an actual installation technician.

We pay for a home service plan for them so they covered it for free. This overall it took them quite a while to figure out what the problem was and they realized somebody didn't install this properly. It was just one person, they were nice. As a company I think the fact they had to come out and do re-work but why? Would have been better if they done it right the first time.
