Five Star Painting of East Jacksonville

Five Star Painting of East Jacksonville painted my exterior stucco wall house. (1). This contractor TOLD me that he gave me 10% discount. But he prepared/printed the paper contract without discount and I believed him and did not read the contract CAREFULLY and signed. (2). After completion, there are a lot of visible patches/blotches. Having negotiaged with the contractor a few times, I requested third party to review/check. This contractor recommended "Sherwin Williams Rep" to review. After the third party (Sherwin Williams Rep) reviewing, "Sherwin Williams Rep" suggested to do additional work. Then this contractor said "we will come out and do the additional work... we cannot guarantee the patched cracks will not still be visible". Yes, the patched cracks are still visible after that. I consulted with professionals: exterior stucco wall should be coated two layers: base coating is elastomeric, and the second one is acrylic. However, this contractor painted my stucco wall just one coat: acrylic. In general, this contractor fools me who is not expert in painting and cut corner in material and job. Although this contractor gave me some discount after negotiating a few times, however, their painting cannot protect house exterior wall. My suggestion: if you are not expert in house painting, don't use this contractor; if you are, be CAREFUL. By the way, I submitted complain to BBB, and not satisfied with this contractor's response: "I apologize for your experience. In the future I will work harder to communicate better and set expectations well ahead of time."
