Carpet was left very wet. Did not provide protection for bottom of furniture legs. Called, e-mailed, and text with no response.

I feel like he ripped me off. I think he only used water to clean the carpets. When he was done the carpets didn’t have that clean smell. The carpets are still sopping wet and we are unable to even live in our house. Please be aware of the company. We called him to try and get him back out to fix it, but he told us he couldn’t come out for 5 days; that is just unacceptable. I had to go out and spend an additional $110 on industrial fans to dry the carpets.

He was late with a 3 hour window. I called to ask where he was he said he was 15 mins away turned into an hour and 45 mins. His pricing completely changed from what he had originally quoted, added things trying to get more money. He completed the whole project in under 40 mins including the conversation and all. He did do a good job on the work and when we call him about it he said he doesn't have anything to do with Angie's List or the Big Deal and hadn't receive money from Angie's List and I would have to reach out to them. I called the police after being threaten and thrown very harsh words.

First Coast Carpet Cleaners quoted $29 per room over the phone plus .49 per square foot to clean stains. They specified that they charge .49 per square foot for areas that need it "not the entire space". I was charged for deep cleaning for the entire square footage of my apartment. To be exact, I was charged $236.74 for two normal size bedrooms in a small apartment (approximate 250 square feet). The rooms were empty. The carpet cleaner did not ask if I was satisfied with his work prior to putting back into his van. When I pointed out that there were still stains on the carpet he stated he would spray peroxide on the area. He refused to clean the areas further stating that he had already cleaned them and that he had already put his equipment up. He should have asked if it the job was a satisfactory job prior to putting up his equipment. What I asked for would have taken another five minutes and they more than likely would have received a positive review even with the additional cost. Bottom line, I paid premium prices, still have stains, and was treated rudely. I wouldn't recommend this company.

Arrived on time, cordial, knowledgeable and professional. Paid extra for pet treatment. Tech wiped up water marks when done. Will use again.

Very unprofessional. I felt like a victim of the old bait and switch. The price changed immediately once they got their feet in my door. I was shocked by the high pressure and intimidation. Will never use or recommend again.

cleaning was quick and satisfactory. They focused on selling me more services and treatments that more than tripled my bill. Not my best Big Deal

In addition I think I was over charged for the work when I have had all the carpets cleaned and the grout cleaned for less than $600.00. There were a number of spots left on the carpet.I will not use or recommend them again.

In addition to the statement explaining why I have requested a refund, Mr. Franco told me by phone yesterday that he was the owner of the company. Today he claimed he wasn't and had never told me he was. As a retired small business owner myself, I always ask the contact person at a small business if he or she is the owner. This job was to have been a cleaning at a condo we own two doors away from our home. It was for two bedrooms and a closet, the only carpeted areas in the unit. My husband, who let the cleaner in, reported that he had arrived in a beat-up old truck without a sign on the side. When my husband returned with a quote for treating the area around the bed, I was shocked at the (additional) price of $179. Mr. Franco and I communicated by phone from our home condo. He kept changing his offer, then insisting I'd "already agreed" to the previous offer, which I hadn't. I felt blindsided, believed Mr. Franco to be duplicitous and unprofessional. The last straw was when he told me that whether he remained on my property to do the job was "his call, not mine." At that point I was frightened as well as outraged, and I insisted that he pack up his gear and remove himself immediately from my property. My husband returned to the other condo (the one to have been cleaned) to make sure he left. Other than spending a lot of time arguing and changing his story, he did no work to clean our carpets.

The rugs were cleaned but they were left with much more moisture in them than usual. If used again, I would not accept the job as being done unless the rugs were much dryer. The responsiveness grade is due to me sending 2 emails asking the company to call me about questions I had as to scheduling. No response. I finally called and spoke with them on the phone.

using the special for the four rooms was ok I had two chairs cleaned for 42$ each but the difference after the cleaning was not very good. They left the floors wet and the rugs in places were very wet and it took until late the next day to fully dry. Overall I would say it was OK but that is about it..........

The "deep cleaning" (which I expected) cost a lot more than the price I had paid on the certificate, but didn't include "scrubbing," which would have been a lot more. Then they wanted $110 to clean a couch (which I didn't do). The contractor was the brother of the owner. He wanted the check made out to him, not the company name, and gave me a hand-written receipt. He took several prospecting calls while doing the work. I wasn't impressed.

Although there were some minor scheduling issues, they were very courteous and I was very impressed by the work.

They were bad. One guy was nice and the other guy was very rude. He was not even through the door and already wanted to hike the price up $200. We told them to leave. They did not do anything, I would tell people not to use them. My husband asked him why it would be $200 and the guy said that to do the kind of cleaning that we needed it would be an additional $200. I called Angie?s List right away and turned them in. I would never use them again.

They did a good job. They were great people. I had no problems. They came when they said they would and when I wanted them to. They were on time.

Very quick and professional. In and out in approx 2 hours. Easy to schedule, arrived on time. The name on the van and invoice did not match the name of the company on Angies list - apparently due to a vehicle accident. That explains the van but not the company name on the receipt. Maybe they use a generic receipt block. Only negative was that the carpets were left saturated and wet, and they did not use any fans or dryers at all, they did not even turn on the ceiling fans to try and help dry. None of the high impact stains came back after their clean, very pleased overall with the service and would use again.

They were professional (in their work) and the floors were much improved in an older home. My only issue has been in trying to get a detailed receipt for tax purposes showing costs, application of Angie's List payment since this is for rental property. Twice, the owner promised to send a detailed receipt but hasn't followed through (unprofessional). I paid enough money that I should at least get the receipt I need. That's the professional way to do business.

They say nothing is for free or in this case a deal. I got exactly what I paid for $59 worth of carpet cleaning. No deodorizing at all. He tried to talk me into $135 pet treatment and then I had to pay a surcharge. Not sure why, but I just wanted the ordeal to end so I did not argue. This was NO deal as stated.

Mike provided an estimate for almost $400 additional, above the $79 paid. I refused all the extras. After much discussion when he asked what I wanted I requested only cleaning one small family room for the money I paid. He said he couldn?t, there would still be added charges so I asked him to please leave my house. I have had my carpets cleaned for under $100, three rooms & hall and satisfied with the results he told me would cost over $450. This is the last deal I will try and am very unhappy about the money wasted

|When the vendor arrived, the first thing he did was get out his clipboard and explain to me he would determine how much this was REALLY going to cost. So that $79 Big Deal was no deal. It didn't include any spots or stains. It didn't do what I was going to have to have done if I REALLY wanted the carpets to be clean. So I forked over another $220. In retrospect, I should have sent him packing but he already had the $79 and I didn't know any way to get that back. The deal should have been more descriptive and should have carried something like a warning that it provided only the most basic service - essentially you'd better have new, clean carpet to start with for this to be of any value. I was not pleased with the approach and I won't use him again.

I purchased carpet cleaning services on November 10, 2013. I provided my home, cell and work number and 2 possible dates of services. The provider was to contact me by November 12th.On November 13, a message was put on my Angie's list message for me to call Mike for scheduling the service but there was no attempt to call me. I called and left a message on November 14th. On November 15th I tried calling again but the mailbox was full. It is now November 18th and no return call or message on Angie's list. I wanted to have my carpet cleaned by Thanksgiving. No services have been performed.

I bought the Angie's List special for $59 for three rooms of carpet cleaning. When Mike arrived he surveyed the rooms to be cleaned and provided me a quote of around $300 to clean the two bedrooms and the stairs. I asked what was included in the $59 special and he said that was very light cleaning. He said spot treatment and deep cleaning was extra. After we negotiated back and forth, we agreed upon $110 for the two rooms and the landing. Although the carpets were cleaned, I don't feel the advertised special of $59 was an accurate indication of what was included. I probably won't use them again.

Phone call prior to appointment was about the service and the likely needs above and beyond the $79 basic cleaning. Mike arrived alone and was very personable. After measuring rooms he concluded that he could do 3 bedrooms (2 of them 10x14 each & the master 15x22) and 2 small hallways (5x11 1/2 each). Total sq ft approx. 725 sq ft (although he could not clean under king and Queen beds and dressers which reduced the actual square footage to under 500 sq ft). I asked if I could use the additional sq.ft to clean another room but that would go beyond the 4 areas agreed upon. If you have pets you MUST add the enzyme so that rooms don't smell (add $20/area) and now that the carpets have been "stripped" you need to "scotchguard" for an additional $20/room. Total cost would have been $239. I am told that is very reasonable compared to other companies. Upon some negotiation he offered to scotchguard the rooms at no extra charge. The master bedroom had multiple stains and he deep cleaned those also at no extra charge. Time to assess work took approx. 20 min. Actual work was 1 1/4 hours. I wish I had been told in advance that there's no point to the basic cleaning unless you add the enzyme (for pets) and scotchguard (which has been stripped with the basic cleaning). Mike did a great job!
