Lou was very thorough in the inspection---we learned a lot. I feel very confident he found any potential problems. He was very knowledgable and prompt in providing our report and answering any follow-up questions. I would highly recommend him again.

An excellent experience, from scheduling the inspection to the report, everything went very well. Lou was there before the scheduled time and started doing a walkaround, he was very helpful and gave a lot of good information on what would need repairs. I would definitely recommend them.

This was my first experience with a home inspection. Lou was at the property before I or the realtor showed up. He had already done a walk around of the property. He was very polite, professional, and more importantly knowledgable. He took the time to explain things to us in detail while we were looking at certain things. He made us feel comfortable about asking him questions and he was happy to educate us. We walked away from the experience feeling a bit smarter as first time home buyers.

st I contacted FCBI, told the very helpful person what I needed and time frame window. I asked about a WDO inspection and she said they could bring one with them. Within a short period, she called me back with a time schedule that was a fit. Lou and the WDO inspector were right on time and very professional, but pleasant with the home owners (they had not yet vacated).

He was very thorough and I found out a lot of things that I never noticed on my previous walk throughs. He provided an excellent detailed report later that same day. It was an educational experience. We learned much from Lou as he went along. He pointed out what things were essential for repair and who should do the repairs (the professional tradesman). He was never in a hurry. This was a small townhome but the inspection covered every aspect: structural, plumbing, electrical, etc. It is also nice to know that he will return (at no charge) within 60 days to reinspect areas of repair.

Purchasing a home and found First Choice Building Inspections on Angie's List after reading their many, many excellent reviews. Met with Lou Prinzi, the owner and inspector, yesterday and am very pleased with every facet of the inspection. He was prompt, personable, detailed and quite knowledgable. The house was built in 1978 and although I was prepared for the worst, he discovered really only minor things, aside from the roof which was already slated to be replaced. I was concerned about possible water damage due to the failing roof, but he uses state of the art FLIR thermal imaging and water detection equipment and fortunately found no major issues. Without the equipment Lou uses, it is impossible to know what may be waiting for you after the closing date! Because the property also had a well water system, I opted for the optional water and equipment inspection for an additional $150 This included well, pump, tank, water pressure, visible plumbing and tested the water for e coli, bacteria and nitrates. The water quality tests alone at an independent lab will cost a minimum of $200, so his pricing is also very competitive. Home inspections are cheap insurance - Lou and First Choice Building Inspections have a solid reputation for a reason and another happy customer!

It went very well using First Choice Buildiing Inspectors as they were quick to respond to request and showed up on schedule. After the inspection, the report was delivered and in my inbox by the next morning.

Inspector was waiting at the curb when prospective buyer of "to-be-inspected-property" arrived on scene. Inspector functioned at a high level of professionalism throughout his assessment. He was knowledgeable and capable. He clearly explained problem areas and highlighted good features of the house. In short, he set the standard by which other home inspectors should be measured. Moreover, his decorum throughout the inspection brought credit to First Choice Building Inspections. He was not only a top notch inspector but an ambassador of goodwill for his company.

Overall, his services were fantastic. He went above my expectations! He was polite, professional, on time and inspected my home thoroughly. He communicated with me via email and followed-up with a telephone call. His report provided a lot of information and explained in detail all of the areas he inspected. very pleased.

In addition to walking and crawling(the attic) through every inch of the house he used thermal and moisture detection equipment that helped him locate the exact areas where insulation was missing in our roof and where a pipe in the ceiling was leaking. The naked eye could not detect these issues. The extensive report included photographs and explanations of problems. I would absolutely recommend him to my friends and family. I feel confident that I know everything that anyone could know about my home at this point. With this information we were able to get the previous owners (the sellers) to handle the major repairs. His services were worth every penny!

Lou was hired by a first-time home buyer to inspect a 1920's bungalow. The house had obvious structural issues (sloping floors, sinking foundation) and the buyer wanted to have an idea of exactly what would be needed to make the house functional again. Lou took the time to explain his findings in detail to the buyer and to answer her questions throughout the inspection. He made sure that she understand what caused the problems and what would be necessary to correct them. After the inspection when the buyer was obtaining bids for the work needed, Lou promptly responded to her questions and gave her the information she needed to complete the bidding process.

Lou arrived on time and had coordinated with the Termite / wood inspector so that they could work together in completing the job. It was beneficial having them there at the same time. Lou used an infrared camera and determined that there were section of the ceiling where there was either no insulation or minimal. He also documented electrical, HVAC, exterior, and plumbing problems. It enabled me to have the owner correct these problems before a transfer of ownership. Some of the problems were even surprises to the current owner. I would recommend Lou to anyone needing a home inspection. He is detail oriented, pleasant to work with and completed his report the same evening.

Lou did a great job. He was early at the home site and explained the issues with the house as we walked through and what it would take to repair them. He educated me on the repairs, gave me tips on what I can do personally and what needs to be done professionally. I would highly recommend him to anyone.

First Choice did an excellent job. The owner, Lou Prinzi, conducted the inspection and prepared a very detailed and professional report (with appropriate summaries). Lou also responded to subsequent phone calls to address questions I had. The only issue that arose was that I was mis-quoted the price for the termite inspection which First Choice arranged on my behalf and because it was conducted by another company, I received a bill for a higher amount from that company. I discussed this with Lou, he took full responsibility for his employee's error and immediately issued a check to me for the difference I was very impressed by his taking immediate responsibility for the mistake.

Extremely well Inspection was very prompt ( able to accommodate my tight timeframe). Owner was very helpful in answering questions, showing issues and offering suggestions regarding maintenance, service, etc. I felt very confident I understood the areas of his concern as he explained them very well. Very open and wiling to spend time answering questions during the inspection and in follow up emails.

Lou Prinzi came highly reccomended and I was not dissappointed. He helped identify many issues that allowed me to quickly determine my new home's needs. He was punctual and professional.

After researching Angie's List, I decided to go with First Choice because the value of the inspection from Lou seemed to be top notch. I worked in the real estate industry in the past and would consider myself very particular about what I expect from a home inspector. Lou exceeded my expectations with his work. He was early, spent time giving me an overview of what he was going to do, and spoke to me through various phases of the inspection. He was informative on what to expect with some of the repairs he noted. Lou was also very responsive after the inspection when I requested for letters that were needed for insurance purposes. The cost of the inspection was well worth it. I believe you pay for what you get and Lou did a terrific job. My only complaint with the whole process is that I cancelled the WDO they scheduled for me due to cost ($150) yet the termite inspector was there and performed his work. It was all good service but I did not want to pay $150 for a $75 service that I could have obtained elsewhere.

Lou was awesome. Showed up early, explained what he was going to do and walked me through all the issues. Unfortunately for me the inspection was bad and we are going to have to use Lou again, but there is no doubt who i will be calling when the time comes.

The guy was fantastic. His name was Lou Prinzi. He was friendly. He was able to speak about what would help the curb appeal. He knew information about the electrical that was coming in. I received my report from him within two days.
