Eddie and his associate did an outstanding job of replacing our fence and gate. Initially, I was hesitant to use anyone but a fencing company to do the work but Eddie worked with us to give us more choices and help us make a more informed choice at a more reasonable price. He talked about the different types of fencing we could use and which would be best for our job. We have had the same fence replaced several times in the last 10 years as the posts kept rotting. Eddie was the first to identify the cause of this - a neighbor's a/c drainage pipe flooding the fence posts and even worked with the neighbor to fix it. We are very happy with our new fence and gate. It is solid and well-constructed. The work was done on schedule and budget. Eddie was very good to work with.

We believe this might have been a more difficult job than any of us realized going into it. Walls required a considerable amount of smoothing and repair. Ed was professional and willing, and he worked his buns off. But perhaps he was only minimally experienced in this particular type of wall work. He completed the job but without finesse or a finished look. Homeowners worked on it for another week before we were able to paint. Ed left for over an hour to have lunch and to purchase more plaster at Home Depot, which is 5 minutes from our home. He included his lunch break as part of his work time. Near the day's end, when he thought he'd completed his contract, I had to remind him that he still owed us an hour more (not even counting the lunch break, which we didn't mention.) He good-naturedly agreed to stay on for a couple of un-related tasks, which he did well. Before I purchased his services through Angie's List, I described the job to him and asked if this was something he felt comfortable doing. He said he did, so I bought the Special. My suggestion to Ed is to always connect with his customer a day ahead of time, to confirm everything for peace of mind. He had been unreachable (by me) the day before the job; however, he showed up on time the next morning. I would also suggest to Ed, who is quite a young man, that he only take on jobs with which he has ample experience. He is the kind of person with whom I like to do business -- energetic, conscientious, hard-working, professionally dressed. Ed is all of those, but he needs more maturity as a professional. I am ambivalent about whether to hire him again, but I suspect he would do very well with tasks that suit his comfort level.

Eddie was very courteous and polite. He took his time with all jobs because he says he wants it done right, and not do a rush job. He didn't change the price even when the job took longer than he expected and had to come back. He arrived punctually on both days and completed all tasks to my satisfaction, including clean-up. He explained options and bought materials only when authorized and agreed to be paid by me; and readily presented receipt for materials he needed to buy to complete the job adequately. All other main materials needed for the job were provided by me (my choice only- he would have bought needed materials if I hadn't provided them already, he had no problems with my providing my own materials). I have already recommended him to two neighbors and he may very well become my regular handyman.

He is great, we will keep using him. I have recommended him to family.

E&T Handyman services Ed and partner were in January to do repairs and paint the interior of a home I had renters in for 5 years. I plan to sell the house and so a professional job was expected. Ed quoted $1 per square foot of walls. We did negotiate a reduction, however, I was unable to afford to get the trim, closets and doors painted. I removed all outlet plates, shelving and other obstacles. I forgot to remove the bathroom wall fixtures and they painted around them leaving the old color around the edges. Some wall areas did not get full paint coverage. Their painting work would be ok if I were just going to rent it again but not for selling. I had a long list of things to do. Ed and partner hung 3 ceiling fans, installed a washer, dryer, dishwasher, a patio sliding door and a few other repairs. Ed developed an eye problem. He did not follow up to do the rest of my list of things to do. Ed is very pleasant and congenial. My opinion is he is not as experienced a handyman as I needed. Paid: $2,975 for labor. Arrived on time and worked at a steady rate. I hired him to do additional painting of three different rooms. They were fast , efficient, and got the job faster than originally quoted!

I purchased the "Big Deal", 8 hours of service for a set price. The guys were on time, very friendly, and efficient. I had a laundry list of things to be done; I am currently pregnant and my husband is on deployment. Some tasks were large while others, menial. I was assured it did not matter how large or small the task, they were there to help. Everything was done well and done quickly. I even had to leave the house at one point to run to Lowes, I felt completely comfortable leaving Eddie and his assistant alone in my house. Will definitely be using this company again.

After paying for the special online "Handyman for 8 hrs", Chrissy, office manager set up a day for Eddie to come out. Unfortunately, we had to reschedule due to weather. Chrissy asked me if I wanted Eddie to bring a helper, I would then get 2 handymen working 4 hrs or just have Eddie for 8 hrs. I specifically told her I only wanted Eddie for the entire day, not two for 4 hours. Chrissy also told me Eddie likes to start early and would start at 7:30am. Chrissy was very good in communicating back and forth with me. I'd like to start out saying I am a detailed person - when I hire anyone, I tell them exactly what I want done and if they tell me they can do it and we agree on a price, I expect it to be done as agreed upon. For example, if I hire you to paint a room and you paint 3 of the 4 walls, I would be upset. Or if you painted the room but left a mess for me to clean up, I would be upset. I just want to get what I paid for, nothing more, and nothing less. As previously stated, I had a list prepared for Eddie when he arrived at 8:15am, 45 minutes later than Chrissy told me he would start, however; he didn't arrive alone, he brought a helper. So I knew I was only getting 4 hours instead of 8hrs. Before reviewing my "things to do list" with Eddie, I told him I would like him to give me an estimate on another "handyman job" at the end of the day or in this case after the 4 hrs. Eddie tackled my most important job first (painting my new re-built chimney), while his helper did odd and end jobs. The following is a list of things they worked on, who worked on it and my level of satisfaction to the finish product. EDDIE - Prime & Paint New Chimney – Satisfied EDDIE - Ceiling fan in garage not working - Eddie tried, but could not get it to work. N/A HELPER - Caulk Crack in trim around (2) windows & paint (3'x3') new hardy board - Satisfied HELPER- 2 kitchen drawers falling out. When Eddie first arrive, I walked around with him showing him each area I had work to do in and I specifically told Eddie to put a small piece of wood on the back of the drawer so it would not fall out. Attaching a piece of thin wood was attempted, but then the helper tried to re-create the glide underneath, which did not work, the drawer still fell out. He remove the piece of wood but left nails exposed to the inside of the drawer where it could have easily cut someone reaching into the drawer. When I brought this to Eddie's attention, he explained I wouldn't be able to remove the drawer with the wood in it, I said I realize that but it would keep it from falling out. So he attached the wood to the back of the drawer as I originally asked him to do. The helper also left a mess in my kitchen. Black grease marks on the drawers, wood shavings and a few nails on the floor. It wasn't until I started cleaning up the mess, that Eddie stepped up and started to clean behind his helper. VERY UNSATISFIED HELPER - Secure trim along wall, caulk crack & repaint trim, walls & reattached spicket - NOT SATISFIED, Trim was secured, caulking done but only 1 of the 3 walls were painted, spicket not attached. When I brought this to Eddie’s attention, he said he would quickly paint the other 2 walls, but I told him “No, you are already packed up and ready to leave” After the 4 hrs were up, Eddie asked me about the project I needed an estimate on, I showed him what I needed done and that he said he would email me the estimate, as of today , 06/11/14, I still don't have the estimate. Eddie was very personable and hard working, however; I believe his helper may need additional supervision before tackling jobs on his own. 06/12/14 UPDATED REVIEW Chrissy contacted me regarding the email I didn't receive. She forwarded the email that Eddie mailed me back on 05/29/14. Though I never received the original email, Eddie did send me the estimate via email.

I purchased a brand new dishwasher from Best Buy but I did not know how to install it. I hired E&T Handyman Service to assist with a few items around the house. They responded immediately and come to my home to give me a quote on a few jobs. To my surprise he was willing to install the dishwasher that day. Dishwasher installation was very quick and he verified it was operational before he left. Approximately a week later the dishwasher became unmounted begin to lean forward anytime the door was open. Due to this was something simple I was able to fix this myself without calling them back out. About 2 weeks later they returned to mount the television. The relocating the electrical outlet and cable outlet was a different story. I purchased the Handyman for a day promotion to have my television mounted. Due to I wanted to see minimal cords hanging from the television I asked to have the outlets moved behind the TV. They advised it was something that they could do without a problem. Long story short it took approximately 6 hours for them to move the two outlets. The electrical outlet is very shaky and is not secured so the power to my television goes out anytime I tilt the TV. This is a feature that I wanted to use that why I purchased the tilting mount to allow me to move the television up and down depending on how the sun is shining in the room. My husband was not happy with the service but did not want to make a fuse and decided he would just fix it his self when he had a chance. About a week after the television mounting fiasco the dishwasher stopped working. Keep in mind this was a bran new dishwasher that he had to take out the box to install. My husband decided not to call them back out because he was not happy with the quality of service he received. We currently do not know what the issue is with the dishwasher has we have not called another service repair person as of yet. Overall they are very professional and have a great go getter attitude. I am not sure if the work we needed was not something they could do and was out of their realm but the quality was less than perfect. Update: We finally had a chance to have the dishwasher looked over. The dishwasher was hardwired in and the connection came apart. Once the wires were reconnected the dishwasher worked fine.

It was okay, they could have done things a little better. I asked him to do things and he didn't really fix them. It was supposed to be 2 people and it wasn't. I wasn't very pleased. They were supposed to call me back. I asked him if he wanted to paint my house and he took measurements but I haven't heard back from him. He came to work 8 hours and that's what I paid for. I expected 8 hours but that's not what I got. The quality wasn't that good. The punctuality was a communication problem between his secretary and him. I moved the time and he didn't come then.

Eddy impressed me as a very personable, professional, competent and disciplined service provider. Solid work-ethic and a spirited problem solver. My go-to handyman.

Eddie came over right away and promptly fixed the kitchen faucet. He was very professional and polite. Faucet is tight as can be and working perfectly!

It went great. I believe Eddie can handle most repair and remodel projects of the average homeowner. He came to us and gave us a good estimate on what needed to be done and the price. He recommended sources of supply where we were able to get great prices. He showed up on the date and time promised and completed the project quickly. We are very pleased with the quality of his work and the prices charged for his service. We will be calling Eddie back in the near future and I am recommending Eddie to my friends and family for their handyman needs.

Eddie was professional, prompt and punctual. He works very quickly and efficiently while doing quality work. Since having this work done, we have had Eddie back to do additional work (replacing part of a fence) and were very pleased with the results. I especially appreciate Eddie pointing out other problems that we needed to fix, i.e. a neighbor's pipe leaking that was flooding our fence posts and over time causing the fence posts to rot.

Eddie was great. Pleasant, professional, creative in solving the problems. One of the fence gates he repaired didn't have a thumb latch. The other gate couldn't be repaired today because I needed an additional 4x4, but the thumb latch worked. He swapped it so the main gate would be completely repaired. He was easy to talk with about problem solving and identifying choices. I will definitely hire him to do additional work. He will be sending me a quote to replace rotting siding on my home. Would definitely recommend.

Eddie was very knowledgeable and provided excellent work. He was able to do everything that was asked in a very thorough manner. We were very pleased with his expertise and the quality of his work. The shelf that I wanted installed was a heavy piece of lumber that needed to be installed properly and Eddie did a great job. Looks as great as it is sturdy. All the doors are now functioning properly and no longer falling out of the tracks. No more squeaking and creaking. Will definitely being using E& T's Handyman Services in the near future to complete further projects.

Thought it was going to be and easy process but it was harder than we thought. He took his time to figure out how he was going to run it threw and got the job done in a timely manner. Ed is a man of his word and you can trust him to finish the job. He had to come back a finish up the work he had done for me. He is very flexible and the day I called him on a Sunday he came as soon as I needed the work done. I will recommend him to anybody!!! Really great guy and very professional and he is very affordable.

Eddie arrived at my house about 8 this morning. He got right to work using water in a tank on his truck. In less than 2 hours my driveway & sidewalk looked great.

When E&T arrived to perform the work he noticed my doorknob was loose he immediately fixed it with no charge. We have scheduled another visit for them to come back out for other minor repairs in my home. After fixing the door he pressure washed the driveway I did not realize the concrete would ever look new again They were so very professional and courteous I would recommend them to my friends and family.
