From start to finish, Designer Lifestyles owner Jon Mayer, project manager Dean, and the craftsmen responsible for the complete transformation of my kitchen paid close attention to all the details and were easy to work with. When problems arose, they were immediately tended to and resolved to my satisfaction. I am MORE THAN pleased with my final product!! I absolutely love my kitchen, and highly recommend Designer Lifestyles for home renovations.

I am writing a response to the response from Designer Lifestyles on Google. Google doesn't let you respond to their response and it deserves a follow-up... Their response on Google was extremely immature and unprofessional. First... They POSTED MY ADDRESS on a public forum. Second... Every response they provided in response from my claims was factually inaccurate, which I have emails, text messages and voicemails to disprove everything they have claimed. Finally... I will be taking the next course of action that I can as a consumer. I HIGHLY SUGGEST NOT USING THIS BUSINESS!! ------------------------------------------ My Original post on Google Maps... DO NOT USE!! I hired Designer Lifestyles on 8/28/21 for a 70ish sqft bathroom and they started work on 10/13/21... It has been 155 days since they broke ground and they still haven't completed the job. I had to finish the work myself because of the poorly managed project and project timeline, plus it was costing me tens of thousands of dollars with floating a 2nd mortgage, paying Designer Lifestyles, lost revenue from a renter and other things like utilities. Also, it put everything else that needed to be done behind schedule. Thankfully, it wasn't my current home or I would have been without a bathroom for 5 months. Last week, I received an email stating while work wasn't completed, I needed to come in and pay the final invoice. Then threatening me later in the email stating if I didn't, they would forward over to a collection agency and put a lien on the house. This blew my mind, you don't pay a contractor in full if they haven't finished work (especially one that has taken 5 months and still hasn't completed the job). I had already paid a deposit and a draw, so I was current on my bill... I went to talk to management to give them an opportunity to make it right and they were flippant and played the let's blame all of the external factors, but not ourselves. They even tried to blame me, the customer. They had someone at my property about 30+ times and still didn't finish a 70 sqft bathroom. A job of this size should take a week of work, give or take, not 5 months. They were reluctant to give a project schedule, which I never received, after asking multiple times. But, I did get them to tell me on 12/1/21 that they will finish in 2 weeks... Well, 92 days since that date (12/14/21), they haven't completed the job... Like I said, I had to finish the job myself. I have not and will not recommend Designer Lifestyles. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out and ask me anything... I don't want someone to go through, what I had to go through during this whole ordeal. -------------------- Response from Designer Lifestyles 3 days ago We entered into our agreement right in the middle of the Covid-19 scare on a home built in 1939. Being scheduled to start within a 2-month timeframe was very exceptional, because it sometimes takes up to 6 months just to get on our schedule, because we are in such high demand. Thanksgiving & Christmas proximity also didn’t help with scheduling, because everyone was wanting their projects done by Christmas, and with our suppliers having delays with shipments, this didn’t help either. We never book a customer on our schedule without first collecting their deposit payment to secure their schedule, and draw payments are expected along the way on larger projects. Customer made a large last-minute change to the project that drastically affected their ultimate costs and scheduling. They were originally going to install a simple tub tile surround, but later decided to remove their tub completely to install a full walk-in shower the day we were ready to begin, which is obviously more complicated. This also caused obvious additional delays in planning and rescheduling to this more complicated project. When removing the tub, we identified unexpected sub-floor issues that had to be addressed before beginning the project, which also caused additional delays. The customer originally provided us a defective bathroom vanity faucet that our plumber installed, and there was no way of knowing its defective nature until it was ultimately installed. We told the customer to get a replacement faucet and that we would gladly replace it for them. We made numerous attempts to contact the customer via phone, text, and email to schedule this faucet replacement because the customer had a remaining balance of $5,000 owing that needed to be paid. The customer refused to call us back until an email was sent, making reference to a contractor’s lien against their property for their non-payment. The customers reference to finishing the job themselves, only involved replacing their own defective faucet, that they refused to call us back on to get its installation scheduled. Withholding $5,000 for a faucet install was not reasonable or acceptable in this situation. We met with customer when they came in to make this final payment, and we ultimately discounted their final bill by $1,000 in an effort to show good will, and then they posted this review. Customer did indicate that they were very pleased with the final finished project.

Our experience was great. We appreciated the company keeping us informed on the progress of our order before and after installation. We were very pleased...job well done, thank you! Paula

We are over the moon with the service we received from Designer lifestyles. When using a company, Jon was by far the most communicative and professional person to come in and give us an estimate. They were polite, professional, competent and efficient. They kept the area clean and were in constant communication with me during this project. As with any project there were a couple of unforeseeable hiccups, but nothing that wasn’t easily and quickly remedied. The final cost was only about $500 more than the estimate we received prior to beginning the service. We feel that they earned every penny. We dreamed up our install in our head and they brought it to life. We will definitely use their service again for a future needs in our home, and do recommend their service to friends and family. They removed a wall, repaired the floor under that removed wall, repaired and painted the drywall, closed in two enclaves, installed upper and lower cabinetry with an area for wine, installed a wine glass rack, under cabinet lighting, quartz countertop beautiful backsplash, soft close drawers and doors, put in hardy board and new beautiful tile floor to ceiling around our fireplace. Final cost was about $11,000. The entire job was completed in about three weeks from start date.

Very well. The kitchen was a sad little box but Designer Lifestyles came up with a remodeling plan that completely opened up the kitchen and gave us even more cabinet storage. The bathrooms needed significant upgrades. The owner bathroom also needed additional remodeling and Designer Lifestyles installed a new very attractive shower that was a major improvement. The prior owners left exterior siding in even worse shape then we knew but Designer Lifestyles got crews in there and replaced the rotting OSB and all of the siding very quickly.

Services were absolutely excellent! Lee and Michael were a dream to work with! From day one Lee made us feel so comfortable with the process and answered all our questions thoroughly and patiently. I don’t think I’ve ever worked with someone as competent, friendly, approachable, and skilled as Lee. He went above and beyond to help us stay within our budget while ensuring we had the absolute best service possible. He is a true professional that takes great pride in his work and it shows with the beautiful bathroom and flooring we now have! We are so lucky to have met Lee and Michael and hope we can work with them again thru Designer Lifestyles! If you choose to go with this company I can guarantee you won’t regret working with these two!! Pricing was also very fair for services rendered. Thank you!

Lee and Michael were fabulous. They work very well together and made a fantastic team. Lee listened to all of my suggestions and really worked with my ideas that I wanted to include. Lee tile installation was perfect and new exactly what was needed! They were even really great with our pets. I could not have asked for a better install.

They did an excellent job. The technician was a real craftsman. The re-wiring, installing a pocket door, and tile work were all very well done. This is the second time I have used them (last time was several years ago to install a wood floor), and it was an excellent job. I would highly recommend them.

We had an excellent experience with Designer Lifestyles. On the sales end Jon was low pressure and made some suggestions that turned out to be highlights of the remodeling job. On the construction end, Tommy and crew were hard workers who produced quality workmanship. They respected our house (and us) and left it clean at the end of each day. We love the new look of our house, like our home only much more attractive. We would definitely use DL again if the need arises.

We reviewed this company prior to hiring them to do our bathroom renovation. They were easy to work with. Felipe was very knowledgeable in regard to design and specification. He listened to us and referred us to a tile vendor that helped us see our vision. Lee was a master craftsman. He showed up when he said he would, cleaned up daily and kept us abreast of the schedule. Mike was also professional as he assisted Lee. Halfway through the renovation, we ran into an issue that delayed the project by several weeks. Even though we were frustrated, we wanted to have things done right. Designer Lifestyles were willing to listen to us as well as mitigate our inconvenience. Overall, this company was very professional and did great work. Would use them again without hesitation. I have already recommended them to a neighbor.

We had a very good experience with Jon and the crew at Designer Lifestyles. After getting quite a few quotes from many different installers, we went with this team to replace 2,600 square feet of carpet and vinyl with wood and tile. In addition to installing the flooring, they also worked to install new outlets in our floors on the first floor and repaired a hole in the wall created as a result of the new outlets. It was quite a large job and took a bit longer than we expected, but we are very happy with the results. The crews all worked hard and did a great job. Shiloh and the wood flooring team were there every day, right on time, and were very careful with the work they did. They left at the end of each day with a plan as to what was going to happen the next day. Craig was excellent with the tile work and completed his job right on time as well. Overall, it was a very positive experience. The price was in line with the others in the area for a job this large and we believe it was fair. The only thing I would change would be our expectation for how long the job would take. It took longer than we were told, but in the end, with all things considered, we are happy with our new flooring.

More work involved than I thought. For the price it was worth it. Not an upscale remodel but definitely upscale quality of work. Corey worked to fit our budget. Lee did all construction repairs, tiling and plastering. He is a hard worker, very reliable and produces quality work. My wife describes him as “the nicest person”, and I agree. If we could afford more work Designer Lifestyle is our go to without question. Thanks Lee and Corey.

Wow where do I start!? Designed Lifestyles went above and beyond. I’ve said from the start that I felt like the red carpet was rolled out for me. I was assisted from the moment I walked in. Mike U. was with me every step of the way. He was patient, thorough, and easy to talk to. He communicated great and was very honest and flexible. He checked in throughout the process and guided my husband and I to ensure we were investing in value. Our demolition team led by Chris was quick and also engaged to keep us informed on the process. Everyone was a phone call or text away. We will definitely be back when it comes time to remodel our bathrooms! Thanks for everything

We are extremely pleased with the work that Designer Lifestyles did for us. Corey was helpful through the quoting process and making tweaks along the way. Lee and Keenan were the real rockstars with install. They were very professional, extremely hardworking, and clearly very focused on making sure we were pleased with the work being done. We also appreciated how respectful they were of our home, cleaning up at the end of every day (I even caught Keenan sweeping the garage once). We would recommend them and would use for future projects.

I would highly recommend this company. Corey worked with to nail down the initial plan and estimate. He was very helpful. Lee was in charge of the install and he was amazing. I was a little concerned initially that I would be at work when the job was being done but after talking with Lee, I realized I had nothing to worry about. He showed up when he said he was going to and kept me informed every step along the way. He explained options and helped me with some style and finishing touch decisions. As with any remodel, there was a lot of dust but Lee went above and beyond to try to keep the mess to a minimum. Keenan helped Lee on the job and was very personable and helpful as well. I am incredibly happy with the finished product and would definitely hire them again for any other project.

I loved working with Corey my salesguy. the intall teams did a great job. First team laid flloor in my whole house. Did an awesome job. Second team, Craig came in and replaced water damaged flooing, he actually had to do a huge puzzle when he laid the flooring in some parts and he installed baseboards through out the house and did an amazing job.

FANTASTIC! I don't even think about calling anyone else! Extremely professional in every way. I got EXACTLY what I wanted!!! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! Jon and his team are the BEST!

We had 2 outdated bathrooms completely gutted and remodeled. They arrived when scheduled with no delays. The work was excellent and worth the cost. The cost was in the range we expected to pay before the estimate. Highly recommend Lee who was the person responsible for the remodeling work. Personable, courteous, and does excellent work. We have done a lot of remodeling at different homes and this was the best experience. We have them coming back to put tile in our master bedroom.

The project went very well and I would recommend Designer Lifestyles for anyone needing flooring installed. Product was high quality and installers and two sales people were very informative and kind.

Excellent job, was very happy with the results and I think the bath looks great. Had visitors this weekend who also was pretty impressed with the bath. I didn't respond to the price issue as I didn't even get comparative prices. I had used this company before and didn't even consider anyone else. The best part of dealing with this company is the willingness to correct any misunderstandings, if any. I have found them to be fair and honest. We are now planning our kitchen remodel, about 2 years from now, and will be calling Designer lifestyles when it's time to get started.
