I hired Conser Moving through Mayflower. I had about 80% of my household already packed up, but they came and packed the rest. It took them over six hours to pack the little bit I had left. It took them over nine hours to load everything onto the truck. We were given a delivery window of Oct 13-Oct 20. I asked for advanced notice of delivery to facilitate scheduling, but nobody could contact the truck driver directly. The delivery was late. During the inventory and loading process, one of the workers walked off the job for hours because of ?personal issues?. The woman doing the inventory was too busy talking on her phone the entire day to pay attention to what she was doing. I caught nine items about to be loaded without any inventory stickers on them. I don?t know how many might have gotten past me. I discussed the transportation of our $7,000 Tempurpedic mattress with the moving crew and the fleet manager. I was assured that the mattress would be wrapped, boxed, and kept flat for the entire move. At the receiving end, the mattress was wrapped (poorly) in plastic, but it was not boxed, and it was transported on its side. It is now completely ruined. They tried to give us someone else?s table. We have boxed items that do not belong to us. Some of our items are missing. Many of the boxes were crushed. Worst of all, they punched the lock cylinder out of our file cabinet and went through all of our tax records, bank records, military records, investment records, and other personal paperwork. They now have everything they need for identity theft, but even more disturbing is the criminal violation of our property and our privacy. I would strongly caution anyone against trusting Mayflower or Conser moving with their personal possessions.
