+ -1 moreMike is the most arrogant man I've ever had the unfortunate opportunity to meet He didn't even look good at the issues (there all of 3 min)..told me he had to decline from fixing any repairs. No i have to decline because after the attitude and what i have now heard about you i wouldnt let you fix a dog house !

+ -1 moreWe bought a 'depressed' property to either flip or rent. But needed to update the 20 year old popcorn ceilings. Mike and his team removed the popcorn ceilings and did a terrific job!. It was a 3 day process, 1st prepping the property with plastic to cover walls, windows, light fixtures, etc. The 2nd day was the bulk of the removal. The 3rd day he finished up with our new 'knock down' finish. He was prompt, easy to work with, and did a terrific job.
Description of Work: Removed popcorn ceilings through out the whole house.

+ -1 moreI received the estimate and it was so much higher than any of the others that I had received. The other estimates that I had received had been more around $500 and $525. This was a small 8ft high by 12ft long wall with a door in the middle. And the drywall was already hung, it just needed the tape and mud. It should be noted that he had to reschedule on me three separate times.
Description of Work: I had them come out for an estimate to do a small drywall job.

+ -1 moreThey did an excellent job both times. It really changed the look of both homes. Both homes were empty at the time and they knocked them out very quickly. My neighbor, who is a real estate agent, has also used them for client's homes that needed updated for sale. I would gladly use them again.

+ -1 moreWe made the mistake of using a contractor (brother of neighbor) without fully investigating the work that was to be done and how they would do it. Something we will not do again. They were contracted to remove the popcorn ceiling and then to add a knockdown ceiling texture. The popcorn came down without an issue but the contractor simply did not have the proper tools to apply a typical knockdown ceiling texture. After they had go through and did the ceiling with basic hopper, I realized I couldnt live with it and had to find a resolution and that resolution was Mike Ashe and Ceilings, Drywall and More. Mike came out when we called him halfway through the job, and was out that morning and reviewed the other contractors work and told me he could fix it. He let me know it wouldn't be as perfect as if they did it from scratch but would be much better. They were done within a couple days and had saved the project. Like he said, it could have been better, but with what they had to work with an skimming over the existing contractor's work they did an AWESOME job.

+ -1 moreThis guy is NOT getting MY money. He rescheduled me twice because he didn't want to drive from Mandrin to Monument Rd around 4pm. On the 3rd sheduled appointment for an estimate he never even showed up. I waited for 30 minutes. I called his phone number and got the voice mail. The work was to be done on a rental unit and I had to drive across town too to meet him. Can't STAND people who miss schedules with no explaination. Avoid this business... very undependable.
Description of Work: Asked this guy to provide an estimate for heavily water damaged dry wall ceiling in a two story townhome. He didn't do any work because he never showed up.

+ -1 moreMade a phone call to Mike before lunch, he had a opening in his schedule right away due to a recent opening in his schedule. He and his crew were able to swing by my house within the hour and start work right away on my issue. Within an hour later my ceiling is back to normal and looks great. He mentioned that his crew also does exterior painting and pressure washing, so I will be sure to inquire about those services later in the year when we are ready.
Description of Work: I had about a 10 foot crack on my ceiling between sheetrock panels in my patio. Mike had an opening in his schedule and was able to have the issue fixed within 3 hours of my first phone call. Will be calling back for future work.

+ 1 moreIt was excellent. They were perfect, great, and accommodating. They really wanted to please us and it was quite obvious. They were always on time. They made sure they got the job done right before they left. They even stayed an extra period of time to make sure everything was right.
Description of Work: They did drywall, painted our garage, took down our popcorn ceiling, painted our floors, and also tore out some existing wood from around the room.

Description of Work: Based on the great reviews, I wanted to hire this company to remove popcorn ceiling from my garage. I telephone their office and was greeted by a recorded message that asked me to leave my information and stated someone would contact me within 24 hours. The time lapse has now been a week and I have not heard from this company. Maybe my job was too small and they weren't interested, but a telephone call back to me would have been nice. Guess I will look elsewhere.

+ -1 moreMike was pleasant, always on time and cleaned up afterwards. His prices were reasonable and we are very pleased with his work. I would hire him again without any hesitation.
Description of Work: Mike designed and created two extra large arches. He did such a good job with the original project, I gave him more work to do with cutting down a pony wall for a soon to be kitchen eating area and filling in the soffit that was to eventually house the new LED lighting in the kitchen.

Description of Work: My downstairs ceiling had water damage from a leak upstairs and needed to be repaired. I had had another drywall repairer come in and work on it but it was not a quality job. I called Ceilings, Drywall and More and Mike Ashe came out and gave me an estimate. I had also called another highly rated Angie's list provider for an estimate and was impressed with their estimate, professionalism and pro-activeness but there were some details that this provider did not seem to want to provide. When Mike and I discussed the job, the details I was concerned about were "a given" for him; he would have done these things even if I had not asked - it speaks to his quality of work and I liked that he was going to be thorough. I ultimately gave him the job, even though he only had 1 report on Angie's list at the time, because HE was going to be doing the work, he had been doing drywall since he got out of school and I was impressed with his web page which shows exactly what your house is going to go through to get the job done. Mike did everything he said he was going to do and my ceiling looks beautiful! Very happy with the result and the price!! I regret that I had to give him a B on punctuality. We had agreed on a time and day which was about a week away. I called him the night before we were suppose to start and didn't reach him so I left a message to remind him we were starting at 8:00 the next morning. I was surprised to not hear back from him to confirm that he got my message. I did call the next morning and could not reach him directly and left a message. I called back a little later and Mike said that he had to go get his supplies and would be there between 8:00 and 8:30. I was not happy at this point because Mike and I discussed that I had to be at work at 8:30; since I had to give him a key to my house, I couldn't leave for work until he had the key. So, while we didn't start at 8:00 as agreed, the work he performed was excellent. The actual work performed was a double knock down applied to my downstairs ceiling after he prepared it by removing and/or covering all the light fixtures, vent covers, and ceiling fan cap and skimming the ceiling.

+ 0 moreI needed a company to remove popcorn from ceilings and replace with knockdown. Mike Ashe with Ceilings Drywall and More provided a very competitive estimate (I had gotten two other estimates) which I accepted. He worked around my schedule and my family's need to be at home, setting up and removing popcorn from half my home's ceilings one week, and then coming back the next and doing the other half. This involved setting up and cleaning up twice but Mike did it without complaint. It is a nasty process, and I feel he did a good job taping off the walls, protecting my furniture and floors, and touching up areas of wall where it was needed. I did have 'touch up' paint for every room on hand. He had some trouble with an employee not showing up, but he made sure the job got done himself when he said it would be done. The quality of his work with framing out a section over my fireplace and drywalling it, including finish paint was excellent. There were several other holes that needed to be patched and Mike took care of all of them. The paint job he did for me in one of the rooms was fast and efficient and care was taken to protect my furniture and floors. We are very happy with this company.
Description of Work: Popcorn removal from all ceilings in home; apply knockdown to same and paint 'ceiling white'. Also hired to build framing for and install drywall around space near fireplace as well as patch some existing holes in ceilings and walls around house. Also hired to paint walls and floorboard in one room.
