BLUE HAVEN POOLS & SPAS

Timeline of install and equipment for pool itself seems to be well done. But DO NOT let Blue Haven handle the deck install if you are upgrading to natural stone. This part of the project is subcontracted and the installers (Best View Pavers) do not know how or do not care to properly handle the product. I made several requests that were ignored. I trusted that Blue Haven was proficient with installing stone pavers since they offer several options themselves as upgrade over concrete pavers, but unfortunately this part of the project was obviously not their area of expertise. Just applying a littler more effort on the deck install would make a big difference on the end result. Use of wet saw and 1 step up on type of grout, both minimal expense in grand scheme of cost to put in a pool, would greatly increase the customer satisfaction of work done. Also agree with point from previous review... once you sign the paperwork forget ever talking to the original salesperson. They are removed from the line of communication. Blue Haven keeps a barrier between those that make decisions on costs and those the customer speaks with directly. Getting straight answers and details is a challenge (answers to questions were usually replied with... "this is what the office gave me"). Overall I would likely suggest choosing a different company for new pool install. Frank K.

The pool industry has exploded in jax, with many waiting 8-12 months for a pool. We interviewed multiple companies and ended up going with Blue Haven due to their reputation, responsiveness, and pictures that showed quality of work. They cost was in the median range of the pool companies we had come out for a quote. From beginning to end, this experience was top notch! James Love was our sales guy and we highly recommend as he listened and really helped us make sure our design was perfect. AJ was our PM and did a great job at handling my on going questions that were daily/ weekly! Jake and Bob had building oversight and were on top of any request while adding much needed humor at times. Sean, Alec, Andre were phenomenal with pool school and making sure the chemicals were good to go! Sean went the extra mile and made sure that additional items were checked off and our house was in the same condition as prior to the pool build! We wouldn't be able to enjoy our pool as much without Sean's, Andre's and Alec's subject matter expertise!!! Toni and Dillan handled a few warranty items on the back end quickly and efficiently. All in All this experience has been an 11 out of 10!

I cannot say enough positive comments about Blue Haven Pools! I’m very pleased with the professional manner exhibited by Blue Haven and Mike their representative who came to my home to inspect the problem. The pool is 10 years old and I didn’t expect any help from the builder. I just wanted some information on who they would suggest I call to complete the necessary repair. I explained my problem and was told that I would be contacted by the person who could help me. I received a call within 20 minutes and was told that someone would be out to inspect my problem. The next day Mike arrived at my home and thoroughly inspected the area that concerned me. The coping pavers over my sheer descent feature had come loose. I asked Mike if he had a company or name I could call to make the necessary repair. He informed me that the problem I had should have never happened and that he would handle the issue. I was told that the pavers would be repaired and he asked me to give him a week to get someone out to my home to make the repair. The following week the repair was completed at no charge! I would recommend Mike and Blue Haven Pools to anyone contemplating a new pool or a remodel of an existing pool. I have friends moving to Naples, Florida and recommended that they contact the Blue Haven contractor in that area. They thanked me because they had no idea who to contact. The Blue Haven team was very easy to work with, offered a large variety of options to choose from in designing our custom backyard oasis, and even helped us find acceptable financing for the project. The project was completed in a timely manner and ahead of schedule--an important component as this type of construction can be very disruptive to our lives and that of our neighbors. The subcontractors were eager to work with Blue Haven, and so eager to make sure we were satisfied at all times. After finding virtually no pool company without any negative reviews we were really stressing about undertaking such a large project with so many potential points of failure, but we experienced none of them when working with Blue Haven. We would highly recommend them--and have--to anyone thinking of undertaking a pool project.

In the market for a new pool & looking to get three bids. While the other two contractors responded quickly & scheduled appointments right away, it took Blue Haven time to schedule an appointment which was then two weeks out whereas the other vendors were able to schedule us within days of contact. The day of the appointment the representative calls to push the appointment time out - decided it was best to not go any further with this company...definitely did not feel our business was important to them at all.

Their customer service and everything was just horrible. I would never, never, never use them again. They were not on time as far as getting here. When they started pouring the floor of the pool my husband and I wanted to wait a couple of days because of the weather. We were the last ones on a Friday and the team that came out to pour everything was in a rush, the pool surface itself was not acid washed like it was supposed to have been so it still to this day has stripes on it. We kept complaining about it and they did nothing about it. One guy came out and said that if we had kept our chemical level where it was supposed to be then it would have been fine. I said no it was like that from the beginning and I had documentation of when I called you, I told him it wasn't acid washed properly. Our electrician came out to do the work and his daughter came and was sitting on the equipment and it popped the pipe and we complained about that. We think it popped it underneath the ground which they never replaced. We had issues with air getting into the system and they do nothing about it. We had problems with the filter itself, the band was not put on properly. They did nothing about it and said it was something we did. We said the pool is 3 months old, we've done nothing. The only people who did a good job is the subcontractor they hired who laid the pavers.

The sales rep that came out was very nice. He was very professional and recommended other options for me. He did show up on time and I didn't get the feeling that he was trying to rush me or anything. He answered all my questions and kept me informed of my options. I also was pleased with the price. It was the 2nd best of all the estimates that I received, so we probably will not be using them because of that. We need to go with the cheapest price that we can find.

The process started good. The estimate of 75 days turned into 4 months. Things promised by salesman were not delivered or left off contract. One item corrected later, but not what was originally asked for. Tile work had to be redone on several spots due to poor work on the part of subcontractors they hired. Job site not taken care of as promised. Follow-up work done after final payment was made was slow or nonexistent.

Blue Haven Pools & Spa did show when they were suppose to show. They were hard to contact and the quality of the work could have been much better. They didn't address issues right away therefore they turned into bigger problems.
