I had epoxy coating applied to my one-car garage floor. It took approx 5 days total due to weather. I wouldve rated higher but there are missed areas where clear coating shouldve been applied. Also, barefoot prints in the epoxy, which arent mine. I expected the owner/business to follow up when services were completed to ask if I was satisfied, however, I havent heard from them.

Our garage floor was a mess, ugly and hard to clean. The floor is now the envy of the neighborhood. It wasn't easy -- we boxed and stored the garage "stuff" in a friend's garage and we decided to paint the walls and ceilings before they got started on the floors-- but it was all worth it. We had interviewed other companies but none were as thorough or experienced as this one.

He was very prompt, very courteous, and very professional. He has been doing this for 30 years and is extremely knowledgeable. His explanation of options was very informational. The scheduling was very clear. This process can't be done when the ground is wet and living in Florida we have rain so he even came back on a Sunday to work to fit the weather schedule. His work is top quality! I would definitely use his services again and have already recommended him!
Description of Work: First he did our sidewalk and then he did our driveway. He sealed the cracks and used a special driveway paint.

Kevin met with us the end of Aug. He was very informative, had colors and samples. We were set up for 1 mo later because we were supposed to be away for 2 weeks. When hurricane Irma came our trip was cancelled, we contacted him and he came to do the work 10 days later. It takes 3 if weather cooperates.

The original cool deck surfacing around my pool was 16 years old and in need of restoration. It was in bad shape, rough and with areas turning loose from the deck. Kevin and his crew was able to provide us with an acrylic base coating that far exceeded our expectations. He is one of very few contractor that we have employed that actually delivered what was promised. Even with weather challenges he turned our pool into a design feature for our backyard.

Horrible, from day one he showed up around 10:30 am and stayed about 3 hours, from day one he didn't do what was agreed, he NEVER covered our pool, he switched our design to some thin paper cutout and just wanted to put a spray and stain on it ?!when I complained, and told him it's not looking like we discussed, he was argumentative, and would keep saying, to trust him. We've had other estimates,( still have them ),and even though Kevin's was a bit higher, he assured us, he could do the job in a few days, a week at the most. That was VERY important to us, because we use our pool daily, and didn't want to have our patio / pool tore up if we couldn't use it after a week. Kevin promoted himself to my husband and I, like he owned a company with plenty of employees and this job could be completed in the allotted time with no problem. Final straw to letting him go was video taping Kevin himself spraying paint into our pool water, and intentionally disobeying my order to not touch my pool pump. He's very argumentative and I felt like he bullied me into letting him keep working with the cutouts, making me believe it would look like what we told him we wanted, till it was clear he had NO intentions of giving us what we paid for. Basically we paid him $2500 of $7,500 plus, for a crappy paint job!!! He's a liar and a cheat!!
Description of Work: Wanted our pool deck resurfaced, we wanted it to look like stone, with marbled colors and paid extra for the design and colors.

I would like everyone to know that these pictures Mrs. [Member Name Removed] has posted are of an incomplete job and also one that has been left uncompleted for over a month. We were contracted to do a stone pattern by Mr. and Mrs. [Member Name Removed]. During the presentation that I do for all my potential customers Mrs. [Member Name Removed] was very passive, standoffish and almost uninterested. If she had a question she would ask her husband and her husband would then have to relay that question to me. During this presentation I explained that a normal job would take about a week. I am unsure if because of her passiveness that she misunderstood, but the [Member Name Removed] job is not a normal job. It is a stone pattern that involves copious amounts of extra work and attention to detail. It was explained to Mr. and Mrs. [Member Name Removed] that the stone pattern would take around 10 days, (5 business days in a week equals 2 weeks for those 10 days) and that it was very contingent upon the weather. We cannot work in the rain or even with a threat of rain coming (over 50%). Our product will not dry and will be damaged by the rain. Meaning that if we get any sort of rain or storms coming through that is going to up the job beyond 10 days. We were on the job for 3 weeks rather than the 2 week estimated time frame we gave Mr. and Mrs. [Member Name Removed] and that is because there was a lot of rain during this time. The first day we arrived we did surface prep (grinding, profiling of surface), pressure washed, and acid etched the pool deck. After our prep work is done, we have to allow the surface to completely dry which means leaving the job and allowing it to dry overnight. (which is why we were only there 3 hours as per Mrs. [Member Name Removed] claim.) The second day we arrived we began to apply our base coat, it is a coating that is applied very soupy, and penetrates into the concrete as it dries. Because of how soupy it is when it is applied it stays wet on the surface of the concrete and generally takes many hours to dry completely. During the process of applying our base coat we received rain showers and that caused us to have to stop working because the deck surface needs to be completely dry. We left the job and allowed it to dry overnight. The third day we came back and began to continue the process of applying our base coat. As mentioned before, this material is something that takes hours to dry completely so once the base coat was completed, we allowed the product to dry cure over night (get extremely hard). On the fourth day, which was Friday (job was started on the Tuesday after memorial day) we began to apply our pigmented stain sealer to our base coat. This pigmented sealer is how we achieve a grout color for the stone pattern. This takes 2 coats and we have to allow time to dry in between each coat. The stain that we applied was pigmented to the color the [Member Name Removed]' chose during my presentation. We completed staining and left the job for the weekend. At this point in time we were waiting on templates to be shipped to us, which is something the [Member Name Removed]' were made aware of when they chose the stone pattern. on such short notice there would be a delay in the shipping of templates which come from out of stste The following Monday came around and we hadn't received our templates and notified the homeowners that were expected that day via ups and that everything was alright, a little hold up with the materials but we will be there tomorrow. The fifth day we arrived to begin installing the templates to the surface. These templates are made of posterboard and have an adhesive backing. During the process of installation, we again got showered with rain and had to stop the process (the adhesive is ruined by water) Because of the rain and the deck being wet we were forced to call it a day. The sixth day was a washout, if i recall correctly it was a 70-80% chance of rain. We notified the homeowners to let them know the issue and that we would return the next day. Seventh day we finally began to finish up installing the templates which took us most of the day as they are very sticky and difficult to work with. On the eighth day we began to mask every thing off with duct tape and masking film and then began to apply the top coat over the templates. This top coat is comprised of the same materials that the base coat is made of, but instead the top coat is put in to a hopper machine and sprayed over the surface, and then troweled down to achieve the stone finish. We got about halfway done with applying our top coat and got rained on, some of our product that hadn't dried completely, washed away. On the ninth day, the following Monday we returned to finish the top coat and do some repair on areas that got damaged by rain. On the tenth day we began what we call manicuring the surface, it is where we go in with hand rubbing stones, hand held grinders and we address any high points in the top coat or any rough spots, toe stumpers..things of that nature. We broom and blow any debris and dust in to a corner and then it is swept up, put into buckets and carted off in the truck. On the eleventh day we returned to apply the same pigmented stain sealer that was applied to the base coat but the deck was wet from rain showers. We tried to dry up the puddles but eventually called it a day as too much time was being spent trying to dry the deck and not actually getting work done. on the twelfth day we came to apply the pigmented stain sealer to the top coat and as we finished our second coat Mrs. [Member Name Removed] expressed that she was having an issue with the pigment of the sealer that we put down. We showed her that it was indeed the color they chose during the presentation, but offered to change the color if she was unhappy with the one selected. She said she would have to speak with her husband. Well a short while later Mrs. [Member Name Removed] returned with her brother, whom has had this particular line of work done on his own pool deck. He asked me a few questions about what we were doing and how it was applied and eventually he looks over at Mrs. [Member Name Removed] and says "sis, it sounds like they know what they are doing, go ahead and let em finish..I think it will look good" her brother left and at this point i realized Mrs. [Member Name Removed] was having some anxiety about the job. So I spoke with Mrs. [Member Name Removed] letting her know that i have been doing this for almost 30 years, i asked her to have a little faith in me and I assured her the job would look great when finished. Mrs. [Member Name Removed] then emerged again asking why the deck wasn't smooth and marbly and shiny. I explained to her that this was a stone pattern, and that stones aren't completely smooth they have definition to them. I also informed her that we don't do anything marbly and if she wanted to have the deck shiny we could apply a clear coat to it. She seemed disappointed and said that she was going to have to call her husband; she returned inside. We continued to work on the deck, applying the color to the stones. During this time I noticed her son outside, I called him over and explained that i noticed their pool pump has a leak in it, i showed him what to do with it and asked him to show his father the leak there seemed to be a leaky gasket . there were many air leaks and kept loosing its prime so i notified him so he could take care of it. As I am doing this Mrs. [Member Name Removed] comes rushing out of her home and yelling at me saying"my husband told you not to touch that pump" and she reached down and turned the main power off for the pump. I tried to explaine to her, that her husband and i discussed the matter and that he was well aware of me running the pumps, it is something i mentioned to him during my presentation before i was ever contracted to do the job. It is also something i spoke with him about just before he went out of town. during this time i can hear the pool sucking water back through the pump because of the leak. This is called siphoning and will eventually drain the pool if allowed to continue. If all the water is taken out of a pool it can cause the pool to float and i did not want to be responsible for a floated pool so i reached down and turned the pool pump back on. Mrs. [Member Name Removed] got very angry and began to yell at me. I explained my reasoning behind turning it back on but she was not interested in hearing it. We packed up our stuff and called it a day. We returned the next morning, to complete the job. We had maybe 5-6 hours of work left to do. When we arrived Mrs. [Member Name Removed] come out of her home and told us that turning the pool pump back on was unacceptable and that she wanted us off the property. I gathered my belongings and I left her property. I contacted Mrs. [Member Name Removed] later and apologized for upsetting her and pleaded with her to allow me to come and complete the job. She tells me she is unhappy because the pigmented sealer we put down was a shade or two off from what she wanted. I offered to re-stain the job whichever color she chooses at no extra cost. She was not interested in allowing me to do that. She also says that I "baited and switched" we used top quality acrylic decking and the best templates available, her because the deck is not marbley. The [Member Name Removed]' chose a stone pattern, and were shown numerous pictures and samples none of which had any sort of marbling to them however we do a faux finish that sometimes has a marbling affect. I begged Mrs. [Member Name Removed] to please allow me to come finish the job, I told her if she was still unhappy with it that she didnt have to pay me. She was not interested in allowing me to do that. As mentioned before, There was about 5-6 hours of work left to do on the job. We were around 95% done. My company came and worked for 3 weeks only to get nothing. because she was so distant during the presentation i did, she realized as the job was coming to a close that she had contracted my company to do something other than what she actually wanted, and didn't want to pay My company did everything we could to make Mrs. [Member Name Removed]' happy. We offered to re-stain the job to a color she liked. We offered to address any issues she had. We asked her to just let us finish and if she still didn't like it then she wouldn't have to pay. Because i cannot refund her deposit she has chosen to go online and publicly slander and defame my name and reputation. This review has costed me lots of business, I am in danger of closing my company because most new customers i acquire see this review and decide to turn elsewhere and the worst part is that the review is completely false. I am not a con-man, or any of the other things she is suggesting. I have been nothing but open and honest with Mrs. [Member Name Removed]. I have been operating since 1997. This is the way I raised a family and have put food on the table for the past 28 years. I truly am sorry that I could not make Mrs. [Member Name Removed] happy with my service. I am even more sorry that this review she has written has unfairly painted my company in a negative light. For me to have done the things Mrs. [Member Name Removed] is accusing me of, Frankly, just doesn't make sense. I would never do anything to harm my business or reputation. I have asked yelp to remove this fraudulent and fabricated review and they will not do it.

Went terribly. Had to watch them every minute. Job took about three times more than they said it would. They said there would be no puddle areas - or if it did, there would be small ones. Didn't work out that way. I redid the drive way because it looked so bad - cracks, stains. I called him today - October 30, 1015. I had a 100% guarantee on all work for the first and second year but it seems there is nothing he can or will do. A reseal is not an option he says. For $5,000 I wound up with a driveway that is worse than the one I had originally had. Don't go near this guy.
