Bartram Carpet Tile & Hardwood Cleaning

BEWARE: Beware of fraud! I paid $1000 up front. When the group came to the house, they said they needed another $100 for an extra guy. Then Jason said he could not cash my check, so I wrote another one, for $100, he cashed both checks. Then he sanded 2 rooms and some of the hallway, then left. We have still not heard from him half of the job is finished. When I call, all I get is answering services that takes my information and then says someone will be in touch. Then nothing happens.

He was on time and he was nice but the job wasn't that great. It didn't look like much changed after he did it. It wasn't as effective as I thought it should be, maybe it's the carpet. His price was very good.

Jason and his team were very pleasant and did what appeared to be a good job. However, in less than a week after they completed the job at least half of the grout had opened up again and at our main entry way a crack returned exactly where it was repaired. Our experience re the initial work was fine. But, the lack of any customer service is extremely puzzling and shows a lack of interest in the customer. So, unless we hear back from them and they address our issues I can only rate them at a C-. That this has happened is surprising in that Jason seemed very interested and provided his comments as to the best way to proceed. Hopefully, they will call us and schedule a visit. Price was reasonable Clearly, the quality is less than acceptable given that shrinkage and cracking is already returning in less than a week. THEY HAVE NOT RETURNED EITHER OF OUR TWO PHONE CALLS?.

The initial estimate & setting the date went smooth. Jason showed up on time, but I was working and my husband was at home. I had asked my husband to ask them to clean up before they left but some how it came across (via my husband) that I wanted them to clean the grout first. So cleaning solution was put down & Jason said he would have to return on Monday to finish. When I got home this left me totally confused & frustrated as I did not ask for my grout to be cleaned but to be replaced, so I called Jason and he said he thought this was the communication from my husband (which I believe to be true-my hubby does get confused some times). But Jason assured me this would not change the estimate and was very kind to me though I was very upset; he explained everything to me in detail so I would have a full understanding. He showed up on time for the second visit and finished the job by re-grouting my tile as I asked. The price he quoted is what I paid and I think it was fair. Even with all the confusion it turned out being a pleasant experience and the patience he had with me, I would DEFINITELY hire him again.

On time. Left no mess. So far work has held up fine.

Very hard to get in touch with. When they finally returned my call we scheduled appointment for 2:30 - 3:30 arrival on 3/14/2016 and they never showed up!!!

Great! Was happy to accommodate requests. Also cleaned my oriental rugs beautifully. I would recommend to anyone, and will use this company again. They will be my first call.

The original contact was fine. I purchased a deal on Angie's List and they contacted me immediately to schedule service. They showed up promptly and performed the work well. The problem started about 2 months later when I noticed that a section of grout they replaced had crumbled already. I called to get them to come redo it and talked with Jason. He asked what company I had purchased the service from (???) and said they had merged with another company and would have to look at their records and call me back. I said fine, but it's a high priority to me because I'm selling my house and need to get it repaired, plus a few other spots I had noticed. He said he'd call the next day. It has been two weeks and I haven't heard back.

Service technician arrived on time and in a clean and neat clothing. I showed him the areas that I needed serviced and he immediately went about starting his work. He pulled up the old grout and caulk in the master shower. Then he resealed everything with new caulk and grout. His work was excellent. I then let him use my shop-vac and he cleaned up the area just as if no one had ever been there. The service was great. The price was a little more than I wanted, but the work was done in an excellent manner.

I was pleased with the service overall. A couple of spots were missed but something only I would notice...didn't see anything at all initially. The original grout was almond-colored and the final was white but it was attractive. However, once I looked at the base floor tile trim, I could see where the original grout was still there as well as on the tiled shower ceiling. As a result, a "B."

First of all, it cost me $150 in addition and I had to provide all the materials. The owner, I guess he was the owner, didn't see much of him. He came out first with his helper. He then left and he came back each time his helper was out. It took two trips. What we were talking about was a bathtub with tile around the three walls, on the ceiling over the tub and I'd estimate a 4 x 4 patch of tile where the toilet is just outside of the tub. They had a problem removing the old grout. It was too hard, which didn't exactly make sense to me, but it is what it is. In their defense, the owner said to me at the end of the first day, because he came in his helper had already left for the day. When he came in he walked in, he looked at the job and he says, No, this isn't right. He said the floor isn't right. I said, Yup. He said, okay, he'll be back out here tomorrow, we'll make it right. That was good. Now, we start to go a little sour again because what didn't get good was the next day I got to wind up giving them a solution. The owner is saying well, you really need to rip up that tile. And I said, what about grout paint? Why he didn't suggest that, why I had to suggest that I've got no idea. That did the trick. It didn't get the old grout out but the old grout is in there like concrete so that's okay. I just wanted that presentable as we were redoing that bath. Running into the problem of being unable to remove the old grout, that's not his fault. The first day he said let it dry and if it doesn't mellow out then call me. The next day, I called and he sent the young man right out. And then he showed up. He was very responsive. He made an appointment time and they were pretty close to the appointment time. They called me and let me know, hey, I'm running about 15 minutes late but I'm on my way. That works for me.

He did an outstanding job. I would recommend again and again

They said they would call me back. I waited and called twice. They never called me back.

A slight misunderstanding of how much drying time is needed. I know that I could have had a better job if I had 4 days at the least in my scheduled to get these two bedrooms sanded and stained I would have liked to get both coats of polyurethane- just no time with the move but am still happy that floors look so much better. Owner was very professional and came out personally to address small concern. If you have your floors refinished, just make sure you understand the time, dust and smell involved. I would definitely use them again - and next time I will know.

They were pretty good. The work didn't last as long as I hoped it would. They did pretty okay.

I had originally purchased a deal on Angie's list for the re-grout. Long story....but I screwed up caulking when I replaced a corner shelf in the bathroom. Before they came out, I contacted Jason to ask if they would also consider re-tiling an insert shower floor area in another bathroom. He came to my house to evaluate and said they could do it. I was charged a separate cost for that task (tile removal and installation), but was very happy to have the work done and even happier with the results. What impressed me the most was the fact that Jason came out to review the work of his team, and actually identified that I had a problem with the installation of the previously installed corner shelf (it was installed at an angle that would lead to water accumulation on the shelf). He agreed to remove it and re-install at no additional charge. He also came on site to ensure that I was completely satisfied with the work. As an aside, I had a similar experience when Bartram Carpet, Tile and Hardwood refinished wood flooring in my office area in August. They ensured I was completely satisfied with work before they left.

It was the worst purchase I ever made. Two young men came to re-grout my shower and I am still cleaning up the mess they made. One guy was grouting and the other was suppose to be cleaning and that was not done after I went it. There was grout all over and it was a mess.

Excellent. Timely scheduling and performance of work. Looks good. I will use them again for any necessary tile work.

We bought this offer and decided not to have them proceed with the service after hearing how they were going to do the work. It would have been helpful to have a phone consultation before they came out to do the work.

This company was very prompt in setting up an appointment. They called ahead to let me know they were on their way on the day of the service. The service was done in a timely matter and the carpets were cleaned thoroughly. They were willing to do any additional areas I needed done at a rate that was reasonable. I would definitely use this service again!

Bartram Carpet Tile & Hardwood Cleaning did a great job in coming out in a timely manner and doing a great job. I had a few items that needed to be moved and the technician had no problem moving them and cleaning the carpet. There was a red stain in the carpet, that even though he advised me wouldn't come out, he did his best to get it out.

Went very well. They were on time (in fact, ahead of time). I don't know what I expected with "re-finishing," but what they did was clean the floor, apply stain to a couple of areas that were worn, and then applied a polyurethane finish. I need to get my tile floor cleaned and sealed, and I will be calling them to do this.

The person showed up on a Thursday and used a hand sander. He was probably here for 3-4 hours and was to be back the next day. They didn't drape any of the furniture or provide plastic for the adjoining rooms so the sanding created a very fine dust that was time consuming to clean in several different rooms. We got a call that the person had his car and stolen so he wouldn't be back until Monday which meant that we had to endure our living room and joining rooms as they were which included things stacked up. My husband went out and bought plastic to cover the furniture and other rooms so the fine dust would not be more pervasive than it needed to be. When the person returned on Monday, he completed the job - or what he thought was complete. The floors were not sanded down enough and the stain was put on very sloppy. Very uneven and disappointing to say the least. They wanted to blame it on wood putty but we had another opinion and found that wasn't the case. Although they had put blue tape on the baseboards, they didn't even take the time to pull it off. Ironically, we had used them before and they were supposed to clean our wood floor. They promised it would be so much better but I couldn't tell any difference. I have never been more disappointed with a service provided. We are now going to have to spend more more to figure out what to do about our floors. We have been doing several maintenance and upgrades since our home is over 25 years. This experience has been disappointing to say the least. If this was a reputable company, they would refund our money.
