B&N APPLIANCE REPAIR

Had a dryer that was not producing heat consistently. He came over several times trying different things to remedy the problem. Changed out a couple of small parts but was not able to fix the problem without incurring an expense that would out way buying a new dryer. He was very honest about that and did not over charge me for all the visits and parts. Actually did not request payment till his last visit when we agreed a new dryer would be best. Would most definitely use him again in the future.

Bob made multiple trips to our home and saved us a lot of money. Highly Recommend!!!

Bob Butler was very prompt, courteous and professional. He immediately found the problem and let me know he would need to order parts. He gave me a ballpark figure as to how much the parts and labor would cost. Called when the parts were in, replaced malfunctioning parts. Actual cost was close to the ballpark figure he had quoted. I was very happy with his work.

The visit went great with Bob. He was here on-time and was interested in helping us out more than making a quick buck off of us. He took the time to look at our problem, explain why the problem was happening, and offered suggestions for fixing it. The solution he offered fixed the problem without any extra expenses off of our part. He was very knowledgeable about the problem we were having as well as the solution. Great service. I would definitely call again for any appliance repairs.

They did a very thorough job and made sure everything worked as expected. The wine refrigerator was complicated, and took a 2nd visit, which they willingly did at no extra charge. They were very professional and responsive. I highly recommend them! Thank you B&N

The water filter had become stuck and impossible for me to remove. When I first called Bob he gave me a suggestion on how to get it out, but I was still unable. I made an appointment, and Bob removed it for me and installed a new one that I had on hand. He and his daughter were very pleasant.

Bob and his crew are wonderful! I will continue to use them in the future. Kind, honest, professional.

Diagnosed problem quickly. After removing drain hose and cleaning it out they knew something was still stopping the flow of air from coming out full force so continued to work on finding out what was still stuck in the hose..turned out to be a small sliver of glass..

Bob was great. He got to us on short notice and fixed the problem. We would use him again and I'm passing his name to folks I work with.

Oven works but won't go into cleaning mode. After coming to inspect, Bob recommended trying to reset the range by turning off its power for an hour. He told me to turn it back on myself and then try again. He was clear that there was only a small chance it would work. He told me to call him with the result. Then he and his partner left. When it did not work, I called him and they researched the issue from the error code and determined that the parts they needed were no longer made. So they came, helped me diagnose, and let me know the issue. They billed me for an hour for the time that they came and did their research.

Bob, from B&N Appliance, showed up at the appointed day and time. He quickly (within 3 minutes) diagnosed the problem with my refrigerator as a defective bearing in the evaporator fan motor. He had a replacement motor in his truck and was able to replace it in minimum time. During the time my refrigerator was out of service, ice has formed in the drain pain/hole for the freezer. He would up having to use a propane torch to melt the ice to get the water to properly drain. And he didn't charge me extra for this, even though it took several minutes (15-20) to clear the drain. I paid a fair price for the service and would definitely use B&N again. Bob was awesome!

I called the office and scheduled a time for Mr. Butler to come to my house to diagnose a dryer problem. The day of the appt. he called to confirm time & place. He arrived on time, but the dryer problem would not replicate while he was there. He said to use the dryer on various settings, make note of its behavior, and then call him if there were any further issues. He followed up by calling me a few days later, but I had not had anymore problems with the dryer. Approx. 2 weeks later the dryer stopped working. I called Mr. Butler to discuss the problem and decided to replace the part. Again, he was very professional; he called to confirm our appt. and arrived on time (actually, a little early!). The part was replaced quickly and the dryer has been fine since then.

They are great. They have a great sense of humor. They were also very patient. They did a great job.

The worst and rudest repairman I've ever dealt with extremely condescending and insulting.

Bob is the best. He is honest, knows the business and is fair. Our garage fridge wasn't cooling and he tried the least expensive option first (which worked) and wouldn't accept payment util the job was done. I will never call anyone else in Jacksonville for appliance repair as long as he is in business.

It went very well. Mr. Butler asked several questions, looked carefully at the unit's components, explained different elements, and when no sure diagnosis could be made advised us on how to monitor the unit over the next few days. Loved the idea of putting full fat ice cream in the freezer to test for 'cold'. (Doesn't get much better than that). Mr. Butler did not request payment until he had reviewed the results of our 'monitoring' of the system. Appreciated his coming out on a holiday, his professionalism, and communication with us. A very positive experience.

Constant, late-discovered leaking from bottom of fridge, which caused damage to my flooring. Bob came within two days of my call, working me in as he freed up some time. Prompt, courteous, knowledgeable. Got right to it, found problem, had parts, fixed it. Called to follow-up next day to be sure he hadn't missed anything. Very happy, and will use his services for all my large appliance needs.

Very professional, prompt and knowledgeable. I have used B&N in the past to fix my stove and had the same experience. I would definitely recommend him for appliance repairs.

After waiting a week for a response I wrote back asking for one. Jeanie was snippy and rude. Called me rude for asking for a response. Won't be using this service due too the unprofessional behavior of this secretary.

He and his helper repaired refrigerator. Perfect. Would definitely call him again.

We have an old vintage frig and B and N tried very hard to fix it. Ultimately, it had to go back to the people in Georgia who refurb'd it but this company was so responsive, tried so hard and never gouged us on the cost. Very good service.

My 8 yo Kenmore washer was giving me 2 different error codes and not working at all sometimes, and my matching dryer was giving me its own error code and also konking out more & more often. I called B&N on Mon am, and they were here Tue afternoon (without my asking for a rush of any kind). Bob asked for lots of details about how and when the machines were malfunctioning before he took anything apart. When he did start dismantling things, he cleaned them inside and out thoroughly as he went, and checked for the most obvious, simple solutions first, rather than assuming the worst and charging me for parts I don't need. Within 1 hour, both machines were back up and running, with only 1 modestly-priced ($48) replacement part required. He did caution me that if my washer breaks again, I will need an expensive ($400) CCU replacement, but that's what I had expected to need today and so far, so good! He & Bill were both very personable, efficient, and just plain mechanically-inclined. I appreciated the simple, honest approach and will not hesitate to call them back if either machine breaks in the future, or if any of the other appliances in my house ever need service. *** Update 5/8/14. Dryer continues to work perfectly but washer did eventually start giving me the error code he had warned me about. I called him and asked him to order the part. He called to confirm, then called when it was in & schedule the appointment, then called to ask if he could come over about 2 hours early. I'm on my first test run now and its working well. So I got exactly what I needed, early and under the estimate (ok, slightly under, but he did warn me that the part was an expensive one). Basically, I have my washer and dryer back to like "New" status for less than $700, and fully expect to get another 5-10 years of use & abuse out of them. I told Bob I wish all my contractors were like him!

he gave advise and said would call back with prices but never did. when I called and put on spot he did not want to do it was to busy.

(Just one example: He fixed my old SubZero and told me they don't make them like they used to and it was worth fixing it!) I had an emergency once, and left a message and someone called to tell me they had had a death in the family...I then got a message from Bob recommending someone else who could give me immediate help. I can't give you the exact dates or prices because I use B&N all the time.
