B&N APPLIANCE REPAIR

I called B & N and explained my problem. They arranged a time for the tech to arrive at my home. He arrived on time after calling by way of a "heads up". Their tech did that each and every time he travelled to my home, which I appreciated very much. He diagnosed the problem and located a replacement timer locally. The timer was installed promptly on 3/29/2011. After the tech left, and I attempted to dry a load of clothes, I noticed that the new timer was making a worrisome (to me!) "waa-waa, whirring sound" which usually means in my experience that the electric motor is going or defective. I called B & N back. The tech returned to my home promptly and even though he disagreed with me, ordered a new timer and installed same several days later. That timer made the same sound only not as loudly. I figured that is just the nature of the beast and as long as the dryer works properly--which it DOES--the sound of the timer is acceptable. B & N's service was excellent and I'd hire them again.

I called and the repairman came out the next day. Both problems were promptly diagnosed and fixed. Both were easy fixes with no major problems with the machines. I was sent a bill a week after the services were rendered and not charged at the time of service because he wanted me to use my machines a few times to make sure the problems had been diagnosed and corrected properly. This is an HONEST service provider. I could have been told extensive repairs were needed, and totally ripped off. Good, prompt, and professional all the way!

I called the company on a Wednesday and was told that they could get to me on Friday. I told her it was my washing machine but she didn't ask many anything about the problem I was having with it. Two men showed up on time. They were very nice. They spent time in the laundry room (I did not stand there and watch over them). They checked to make sure power was getting to the washer. They came to me a little while later and told me that the only thing wrong with the machine was that the tiny screws in the lid were loose and causing the sensors in the washing machine to not function. They showed me where they were and told me to try tightening them in the future should I have trouble again. As I said, they were very nice. I think I payed quite a lot for the tightening of a couple of screws but at least he told me what the issue was and how I could handle it myself.

B&N, over the phone, gave us charge free information on how to trouble shoot and possibly get around the problem. I thought that was very helpful. We call them back after all else failed.

This was our first experience with them. We really liked them. They were on time and it was the owner that actually came out. He actually worked with us to get the work done. He had to crawl up into the house which was hard. The first time that he came it was raining and hence, it was not easy to crawl under there. He said that he would come back to do it and he did. We did not have any problems with him. He even billed us for the service charge that we had to pay right then. But, we thought that was good. He deserved the price as he had to crawl under there. We have not inspected the quality of work but we knew that he had used new materials for whatever needed to be replaced. His responsiveness was great. There have not been any problems with the dryer since then. The guy that we used to put it in there to begin with had done it wrong and so, after a few months the dryer was not drying. It was one of the stacked washers and dryers. So, we had to call that guy out and found out that he had done it wrong.

Bob did a great job- the office was efficient at scheduling the appointment, and I was pleased both with the amount of the bill and with the work which was performed. I recommend the company highly.

Bob came right on time & checked my dryer. He indicated that the drying element was fine & that the dryer was probably just clogged. He checked the vent, replaced the piping & vacumed out the lint from the machine. He was quick & efficient, & cleaned up after himself. I tried to pay him for his service, but he insisted that I use the dryer over the weekend & see if his cleaning efforts worked before he would close out the service call. The dryer seemed to be working much better, so I called him on Monday morning & left a message indicating that & asking for an invoice so that I could pay the bill. It's been a week later & I haven't heard back from him. I'll have to call again to pay him. Based on this experience, I'll definitely recommend him to others & use him again if I need appliance service.

B&N Appliance showed up on time as promised. Bob was very friendly and professional, and only took a few minutes to assess the problem on my freezer, which needed a new compressor. Bob was quick to point out that the cost of repairs would exceed the actual cost of a new freezer and suggested I purchase a new freezer instead of repairing the old one.

Scheduled appointment very quickly. Arrived on time however did not have icemaker on truck. When I called to schedule the appt. I advised that I knew it was the icemaker and if they could ensure they had one on the truck when they came that would eliminate a second trip. That did not happen and he needed to come back later that evening. In the end the icemaker was replaced and we have chilled drinks once again.

The two gentlemen Bob and John were very knowledgeable, professional, and expedient. The price was more than acceptable.

I was given a window of 2 hours for the service time to start. I was called just before that to confirm I was home and Bill and Bob came right at the beginning of the window time-period. That was great! The washing machine had stopped spinning, all other cycles seemed to be working well. I was shown a belt that was split 3/4 of the way through. To replace the belt, they had to retrieve the part from a parts dealer and return an hour later. I was asked if the machine was loud in the spin cycle. I hadn't noticed it in the past. Now it is SO loud that I can't help but notice and feel compelled to shut off that room. I will call to follow up but it's not an old machine and to invest another minimum of $140 this week on this machine doesn't seem wise. It's where the 'throw it away and buy a new one' mentality comes from.

Great experience! We purchased a used refrigerator off the internet for extra food storage in our garage. The freezer was working, but the fridge was not. Evidently the fan was not blowing the cold air from the freezer down to the fridge. Mr. Butler fixed the fan in a short period of time and the fridge has been working fine. He also looked at our primary refrigerator as items placed in the bottom drawer were freezing, yet the fridge was set to the recommended temperatures. Mr. Butler explained how the motherboard runs the entire system in this type of fridge and provided several steps to take to determine if it was a problem with the entire motherboard (which would cost $400) or just a situation where the motherboard needed to be reset by unplugging it.

Arrived on time. Introduced himself, Bob the owner of the company. Finished 1 and 1/2 hours later. Excellent.

was prompt but seems like it cost a lot of money for the visit--maybe this is what this service goes for, but Bob charges more than my plumber or electrician. he also didn't seem too happy when i presented the $10 off Angie's List coupon, and he gave me $10 in cash rather than rewrite the invoice.

I made the call, and Bob was there within a couple of hours. Although he couldn't be sure what the problem was, he did what he thought may fix it (add freon). He told me exactly how much it would be before he started the work. The freon did the trick, and now the freezer is cooling great. He is very knowledgeable, and it is very obvious he has years of experience. He is also very courteous and pleasant. He called back the next day to see if the freezer was working properly. Great service. I will gladly use this company again and refer to friends.

Not much to say. We have used B&N before. They are prompt; reasonable, quick and helpful. Like your neighborhood repair man.

Bob came promptly. He diagnosed the problem within five minutes and had it fixed within a half an hour. The freezer works fine, and the refrigerator actually keeps things cold for the first time in months. Kinda pricey, but worth it to get it fixed as opposed to buying another fridge.

It went very well. My husband found B&N on Angie's List. I contacted them during my lunch hour at work and received a call back within the hour. I scheduled a time for him to come to my house to look at the washer. He was very flexible as to my schedule. Called me 30 minutes before he was to arrive at my house in order for me to leave work at the last minute and not waste all morning waiting around. He came in and went right to work. Was very polite. Within a few minutes, had the problem and offered a couple suggestions for repair. Even gave me options that would lower the price. I told him to fix it and I was back at work without missing much more than an extended lunch hour.

We were very please with this company, from the initial phone call to the completion of the job. We did not have to wait for them to arrive. They were courteous and knowledgeable. They determined the problem was a broken belt, which they did not have on their truck. However, they went for the part, came back and finished the repair work. The completed job was approximately 1 hour.

I called on a Monday morning and was able to get a technician out the same day. He was on time and diagnosed the problem very quickly. He called for availability of the part and gave me a price at that time. He didn't have the part on hand, but was available the next day to replace the part. Again, he was on time and was in and out very quickly. I was very pleased with their service and would definitely use them again.

The serviceman from B & N came within a day of my call as my dryer was not heating up. He was pleasant and helpful. He only charged me for a diagnostic visit, not labor which was very nice of him. I recommend him as an honest man who does good work.

I called first thing and they returned my call promptly. Came at the schedule time which was between 11 and noon. Fixed the problem in a timely manner, cleaned up the area. Great work.

He was very prompt, polite and very business like. Really checked everything over. My problem was that the dryer was not heating like it should. While he was here, he checked over the washer also. I will definitely use him again.
