Description of Work: We initially thought we had a slab leak & called Steeg Plumbing. They determined that we had a leak from the ice maker on our refrigerator. I work part time at The Home Depot, Jacksonville Beach, and spoke to one of our appliance specialist, who recommended B&N. I called them on Thursday, 4/11 and they were available the next day. He advised that he would call 30 minutes prior to arrival and this he did. He arrived and worked on the frig no more than 30 minutes and everything was working fine. He charged $108 for the service call plus parts. I thought this was a little high, but not too high. Extremely satisfied with service from this gentleman and would have no qualms about calling again.

Description of Work: We called Bob and Nancy and we explained our problem and Bob was kind enough to explain to us what to do to fix the problem. His solution was right on target. I have found our new appliance repair people and the money he saved us pays for the subscription the first time I used it. We are new members

Description of Work: My tenant's refrigerator icemaker was not working. They had just moved in. It looked rusted. Thought we were going to have to install new icemaker. B & N arrived the day they booked with me. When I arrived at 10:00, the appointment time, they had already come and gone. The tenant said they were very nice, found out that the reset button had not been reset. They cleaned up icemaker, cleared water line and all worked just fine. The charge was $88.00. They do not take credit cards. Cash or Check.

Description of Work: Dryer wouldn't heat. Their phone person had me run through a few things (turn off circuit breaker) before she'd schedule an appt. this process worked!! No repair was necessary. Saved me $$$$!! She also was able to explain why the dryer wouldn't work.

Description of Work: Bob and his group installed stainless steel microwave and dishwasher. They were great and were abosolute professionals in installing. Would hire them again and recommend them for similar services.

Description of Work: Bob quickle responded to a freezer motor that was going bad, came out to house diagnosed and replaced the parts. Then my dryer went and Bob responded immediately, did a great job and am glad to have found someone professional and who is fair.

Description of Work: My double oven stove refused to lock for self cleaning and I needed my dryer vents cleaned out. The stove took quite a bit of work to diagnose the problem - eventually Bob and his helper determined that a specific circuit that told the oven it was cool enough to UNlock the door had failed the last time I cleaned it. (My husband had had to "jimmy" the lock/latch to get the door(s) to open - but we did not bend anything such that it shouldn't have worked the next time I needed to clean.) In order to fix this it would have required the purchase of an entire new "mother" board - for $450. The stove was $2000 2-1/2 years ago, and I have only cleaned it three times, but there is no way I was going to put another $450 into it just to have it self clean. I'm REALLY annoyed at Maytag - I checked my warranty - but that gets me nothing. Next I asked him to clean out my dryer vent(s) - one of which requires going on the roof to pull lint out of a "stack" up there. (My husband does this twice a year - but recently had surgery and can't do it right now)... Bob did not want to go on the roof. He suggested venting the dryer out the wall behind it (from my laundry room) into the garage (kit is $150). When I called my husband he was adamant he did not want to do that - so basically Bob spent almost an hour here for nothing. I fully expected to pay for the service call - but when I brought the Angie's List coupon out to the truck so he could write the bill, he said he wouldn't charge me at all, but I could tell he was annoyed. Oh well. Bob is clearly very competent and knowledgeable (not really sure about the other guy) - so I know he is qualified to do the work - but I'm not sure I'll call again.

Description of Work: Oven repair. Arrived on time, did the work required, was very effective. Will use them again when I need appliance repair.
