The best part of our experience with this contractor is that it convinced us to get Angie's List and thoroughly research before ever hiring another contractor to perform work on our home! Although we were initially happy with the project overall, there were several issues that have made it a lengthy, frustrating, and disappointing experience. Careless mistakes were frustrating to deal with and the resulting damage left behind took months to resolve. The scheduling issues on their part made it seem that the resolution of issues and our time was unimportant to them. Initially we were happy with the tiling crew who did an efficient job of tearing down the old shower and building out the new one. They were good about laying down sheets through the house to minimize debris on the carpeting, although they failed to cordon off the area being worked on, the Master Bath connected to the Master Bedroom. This caused work dust to cover all surfaces throughout the bedroom and beyond which was disappointing as it could have been simply prevented by hanging plastic drops. The tiling was completed within a week's time and looked great, but that's when things really started to fall apart. The company plumber who was to have come on the final day to finish building out the shower fixtures had a scheduling conflict and did not show up as he was supposed to. So the tile guys were told to finish the job themselves although obviously this was not their area of expertise. What ensued was a wide open plumbing pipe flooding the shower area and the tile guy frantically trying to figure out how to shut off the water to the house. We had to intervene to close the main house cut-off so the water flow would stop and he could correct the fixture. Consequently we found that the shower head was not properly secured and it took another week before the plumber could find the time to come by to finish the job. When the plumber did show up, he was somewhat rude and unconcerned about the issues, although he did secure the shower head properly. Based on this experience, I would not recommend using this company for any plumbing needs at all, find one of the many highly rated plumbers on Angie's List instead. Next came the installation of the glass shower doors that we had ordered, this part turned into a total disaster and made us wish we had never paid the extra $700 just to have the initial good tile work ruined. The installation was to have taken just an hour or so, but the employees who came to do the door work failed to properly measure the opening before attempting to install the glass doors. The result was that they mounted doors that would open into but not out from the shower stall due to the rise of the ledge. When they informed us of the issue, they blamed it on the tilers for putting too much angle on the ledge. This was something that they should have measured and noticed before drilling holes into the tile and mounting the doors. So they said that they just had to replace a few tiles and it would be all better. What ensued was several hours of breaking out the existing good tile work and replacing with tiles that were uneven and damaged. We noticed some of the minor cracks in the tiles when inspecting the work but found out later that there was even more damage to the tiles that was hidden and would show itself over time. There were a couple of cracked tiles and a deep gouge to another one of the tiles that was hidden by caulking, the issues became apparent as the caulk cured and peeled away from the damaged areas. As we used the shower door over the next month, the tiling under the bottom hinge of the door started to crack and eventually a whole section of tile broke completely away. We informed the company of the problem and they said they would come by right away to resolve. They inspected the broken tiles and said it would be a week or so to order replacement tile to fix the issues as they had used up all of the spare tile that we had previously. About 3 weeks later we were called to say that they had forgotten to order the tile but would get it taken care of right away. It was another couple of weeks before we heard from them again when they called one morning wanting to come over immediately to finish the job. As we already had another contractor (found on Angie's List this time!) completing a different job at the house, we asked them to schedule the visit with us for another time. The response was that they had several large jobs coming up but that they would schedule when they could. About a month later we had to call them again to finally pin down to a date that was mutually acceptable. Finally, in December they came to repair the damage that was caused back in August. At this time while there are still somewhat uneven tiles, the cracked and broken ones are fixed and it isn't worth risking more damage to even out the others. Overall, everything seems acceptable and we are basically happy with the completed project. However, given all of the disappointing issues and frustration with the amount of time that it has taken to resolve, we wish we had researched more and found another company.

I finally call Atlantic and knowing it was going to be an expensive hook-up. It took the plumber all of three minutes to hoop it up. When he came in before he looked at the washing machine he asked if we needed other work. After the hook-up. I told about the new style toilets making noise. He had installed them a few years ago. He showed how to replace the parts. I asked him if he had the parts and could the work under the hour time limit. He had the parts and did the work for a one hour charge plus parts. He also asked if I was a senior citizen and I was so I received a discount.
Description of Work: If I could put a A plus on cost...I would. I could not hook up the cold water line into the washer. I could not get it not to drip.

From the first day they started, every worker who stepped into our home was friendly, efficient, trustworthy and reliable. Each day we were told what would be accomplished, and before they left they told us what would be happening the next day. Their workmanship was meticulous, and they used every precaution not to leave any debris behind. Their suggestions for every major and minor item were all accepted by us, and the result was spectacular!! Vann, who was the manager of the project, was very involved and did a perfect job in coordinating every aspect. We have been using Atlantic Coast Plumbing and Tile for all of our plumbing needs since approximately 1995, and in that respect they are very efficient, reliable and always prompt in responding to our needs. I would HIGHLY recommend this service for anyone's remodeling and/or plumbing needs!!!!!!!!!

They were here within hours I called them. I have a pretty quick relationship with them. They worked for us at the same condo about two weeks ago. It was an emergency call last time I used them. They charge hourly and charge $100 an hour which is not the cheapest but they do a good job.
Description of Work: I use Atlantic Coast Plumbing & Tile for plumbing. I have used them many times over the years. We had an emergency as we had a leak in the pipe in the master bedroom and they were in the house here about three days ago.

They were extremely professional from beginning to end. I cannot say enough excellent things about Atlantic. They had all the latest equipment to do the work, they were patient in answering my questions and really love what they do. When I first wanted to have the bathroom done, the representative made outstanding suggestions. I now have a really nice bathroom and my sink in the kitchen isn t too bad either.
Description of Work: Atlantic fully gutted one 8 by 11 foot bathroom. They replaced the tiles, installed a shower, toilet, tile floor and a sink in the kitchen.

The rep. showed up on time. He made many suggestions for improvements in design and function. He was more than $1000 dollars under the other bids with higher grade materials. The tear-out crew found an infestation of carpenter ants, and they worked under horrendous conditions, but maintained great attitude. We treated the exterior and interior overnight, and they left a fan on to dry things out. The tile guys came in next. They were here several days. One day was delayed, not by Atlantic, but by the inspector, who was 6 hours late. The cabinets and sinks went in last. All laborers are employees of ACPand T. I was totally comfortable with them in my home. They were always prompt, polite, and respectful to me and my property. The materials, craftmanship, and installation was beyond my expectation. There's no such thing as a quick shower any more. It's like a spa. When the kids were home for spring break, no one used the guest bath; everyone wanted to use the master bath. Will use again.
Description of Work: Complete remodeling of master bath. Completely gutted the master space, repaired wood damage in shower stall, new shower pan, retiled shower, floor, and baseboard with travertine, replaced vanity (not standard size), sink, and faucets and replaced toilet. Guest bath: Replaced vanity, sink, and faucet. Replaced tile trim around shower. We knew we had some wood damage and the cost of replacement would be assessed when they got the tile out.
