I saw there work in my daughter's home and it was beautiful. They did what they said they were going to do and did it well. They were able to give me an estimate beforehand. Scheduling was fine and they were able to come out within a couple days of me calling. I am satisfied with the finish product.

When my home was being built, the general contractor tried to have amateurs install the wood flooring in the dining room. After a dispute with the general contractor, I hired Armorshine to finish the dining room floor job and they perfomed beautifully. That was almost 15 years ago. More recently, I decided to remove the carpeting from three bedrooms and replace it with hardwood. After researching different flooring companies, I again turned to Armorshine. Their candid explanations of the options (prefinished vs. site-finished, product grades, installation times and methods, etc.) were clear and helpful. They assisted me in selecting a high-grade prefinished product that complemented the site-finished wood floors already in place. Installation was a breeze. The crew was prompt, neat, and efficient. Armorshine performed as promised and the results were outstanding.

We had an extremely compressed timeline to repair and install new flooring in order for my husband to move into the home.The estimate was higher than expected, but this company was recommended by a trustworthy realtor. The business owner misjudged the thickness of the engineered wood on the bottom floor and the sanding process resulted in removing the oak in a one foot wide swath in the master bedroom. However, he immediately halted work and they called to request we adjust the plan. The repairs were quick and great care was taken to blend the stain and resulted in a small blemish (which is covered by the king bed). The remainder of the project plan was modified to simply buff and seal the bottom floor. The upstairs installation was much smoother. The product and color he recommended is perfect for my three boys. The quality of installation seems to be very good. The floor was installed without replacing the floor boards (as a cost saving measure per his recommendation) and everything is seamless. The doors were reinstalled and are flawless. Our situation was unique because the family was split geographically (with the more critical and picky spouse 350 miles away from the job site.) Also, renters were living on location. And, the timeline was incredibly compressed -- two week turn around. Given all these factors, this company was incredibly flexible and responsive. i would highly recommend them for new floor installation, but would hesitate to recommend them for refinishing. Frankly, the bottom floor does not look significantly better than it did originally. However, if I had a project that included both refinishing and new flooring, I would provide them the opportunity to work in our home again. They were extremely trustworthy and dependable. The owner even brought me the promised, complimentary floor cleaner in the middle of his family vacation. Definitely review the estimate and details that are provided in writing, to avoid misunderstandings between what was said and what was agreed upon. There was some confusion about closets and wood trim costs. Be clear in color choice and expectations (in writing) and you should be pleased with the results. The business owner is patient and professional. New floors are phenomenal.

The day the work was to be started, a single worker came to the house, no sign of the owner. Worried that the person that showed up to do the job was impaired, I called to voice my concerns and to ask that they call him and ask him to leave my house. I was told that no one could be here to check on him for two hours. When I asked him to leave, he stated he "needed a paycheck". This was VERY unprofessional on the companies part as well as the workers. When the owner showed up to briefly check in, nothing was shared with me, the worker was left in my house. The floors were over-sanded. My cabinets are made of laminate with base bards of the same that meet up to the wood floor. They are 80% etched where the sander had contact with the baseboard and it's very noticeable. The owner seeing the destruction and my unhappiness took approx 15% off the end price. Very sloppy work, unprofessional and inappropriate behavior. If only I could have my floors and baseboards back as they were ....
