I interviewed 5 roofing contractors from Angies List. I elected to go with Armor Roofing based on price and the good history the company had with Angie's List. Steve Kelly explained he was a local company and stood behind his work. The company did the re-roof. After the job was completed I discovered my air conditioner would not work. I called a service company to explore the problem. When they came out, Steve Kelly was there. They quickly discovered that one of the air conditioner freon lines had a nail hole in it as a result of the re-roof. Mr Kelly said 'he was sorry' but made no offer to pay for the repair. The damage was clearly the fault of his crew. The nail that caused the damage had not gone into a stud, but missed and thus hit the freon line. Mr. Kelly said the line was 'not to code'...the house is more than 50 years old. The line is clearly visible where it runs up the wall and into the attic. Had the crew just looked, they could easily see the line. I feel that since his crew damaged the line because of careless and shoddy work, he should be responsible for the repair to the line. As an update, Mr. Kelly did finally offer to pay for the repair to the line. Although it took some time, he ultimately decided to do the right thing.

Emailed Armor Roofing late on a Friday and had a call back that weekend to schedule a time to come out and look at the issue. The problem being a improperly "repaired" issue where they installed a diverter instead of a kick out. Lenny came out and review and went over options for repair which included installing a flashing against the brick, removing diverter, adding kickout plate and repairing any damaged shingles. He went over the contract with me very throughly making sure I was aware that any woodwork necessary that was found during shingle, flashing install, etc would not be covered so I would not be surprised if occurred. Very much appreciated it. When shingles where all removed could see that the plywood, truss (rafter), and facia were completely rotted away from the contstant water damage. The contract was updated to include wood repair as needed. We just wanted it done right The job was done as quickly as possible, even with the issues uncovered as he went, and as professionally as possible. I will definitely use Armor Roofing in the future if needed.

Armor completely stripped the existing roofing and installed a new architectural asphalt shingle roof. They coordinated the entire project from filing the local permit, to installation of the roof in accordance with applicable building codes. The work was done on time and clean up was very good. The owner even came back the day after the work was completed to assure everything was satisfactory to me and did an extra magnetic sweep. Armor was selected based on my assessment of their ability to do the job, reputation, Better Business Bureau rating, Angie's List reviews and price. I am very satisfied with my selection.

The crew arrived on time, went right to work and stayed on task. They covered our shrubbery and air conditioner and picked up debris as they worked. The finished roof was beautiful. We have a brick house and many of our neighbors have stopped to admire the roof and the comments have been most complimentary! Steve is a knowledgeable roofing professional with an excellent crew and foreman. He personally inspects the job during and after construction. Our son is having his roof done next week and friends in Julington Creek will be using him as well.

Steve Kelly came out promptly and was able to look at my roof and give a written estimate on the spot. He was very knowledgable and thorough when speaking on the roofing repairs. He gave a window when he could schedule the work. When I called to confirm he was able to schedule and called the morning of to confirm the time his crew would be there. The crew showed up on time and ready to work and made sure all trash and materials were cleaned up after. Very satisfied with the results.

Steve was more than happy to give me the Angie's List discount. I am now the envy of the Neighborhood with my new roof. All the houses on my street were built about the same time (within 10 mos of each other). I had several of my neighbors stop by to "take a look" . I told them I found Steve on Angie's List and several were members and stated how great the new roof (color, texture etc.) looked. I am proud to display a Armor Roofing Company sign in my front yard. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND Armor Roofing if you need a new roof!!! 5 stars to Steve and his company!!

After several estimates, we contacted Mr. Kelly and he returned and provided a verbal and written estimate which we agreed to, and signed the contract. He scheduled delivery of the material and obtained the required permits. The material was delivered on Friday and his crew arrived at 7 A.M. ready to go to work on Tuesday November 20th. They removed the shingles and felt paper, renailed the existing sheathing, as well as repairing water damaged areas of the roof requiring an additional 4 sheets of sheathing and additional labor. The additional labor and cost of the sheathing was amended to the contract and work continued until it was too dark for the crew to work. At 7 A.M. the next morning they were back on the roof and completed the job, cleaned the area around the house a second time and were finished by 8:30 A.M. Early afternoon Mr Kelly arrived to inspect the job and verified that I was satisfied with the quality of the work and appearance and clean-up of debris. The entire operation was flawless and when Mr. Kelly was absent for a short time and at the end of the first day, we were in communication several times so he could keep me aware how things were going. The quality of work and thoroughness of his crew was above reproach. I would unconditionally recommend Armor Roofing to anyone contemplating a roofing repair/replacement. The wind mitigation form Mr. Kelly completed and provided to me resulted in a decrease in our home owners insurance of over $400 on 2013 insurance policy. If we find ourselves in the market for another roof, we will definitely hire this company for the job. The only "DO" is can offer is if you have any pets, if possible relocate then out of the house for the duration of the time the re-nailing of the sheathing will require. As advised by Mr. Kelly, t he noise is intense!! Overall, they all did a great job and we couldn't be more pleased with the results.

Steve was and still is very responsive. Even when work was delayed or material was substituted, he was upfront about options and offered referrals for other work that I needed done.

I chose Armor Rooofing for several reasons, first the owner Steve Kelly was very prompt with a response to my request. He (Steve) came to our house , on time, and gave us a written estimate with a 10% discount from his Angieslist page. He showed us the products he uses and explained how they would be installed on our house. Once we decided on his services he returned to our house, answered a few more questions, we signed some papers and settled on a date of install (which he was able to change and get the work done sooner). His crew showed up on time on the expected date and went right to work Steve was there shortly after to ensure the proper materials were delivered and that the work was progressing as expected. The roof was completed that day. The crew was there over an hour after the roof was completed to clean up the yard of debris and nails. They left our yard spotless, not to mention the great job they did our roof, it looks fantastic! Steve came back the next day to follow up on the work and to make sure that everything was done to our satisfaction. This entire experience was painless and that is all attributed to Steve Kelly's experience and professionalism. Thanks.

The repair was made a day later than expected (I am complaining because no one else would come out at all), but the repair was made and seems to have cured the problem. I would use Armor roofing again.

After calling a few different roofing companies, including one that gave a high estimate on the phone after only doing a google image search of my house, I landed with Armor Roofing Company. My call was returned quickly by the owner, Mr. Kelly, who advised me chimney work might be needed or it might be the roof. He took a lot of his time to go over what might be wrong and possible fixes. He said I'd receive a call from one of his experts for my type of problem. Lenny Buckman soon called and scheduled an appointment that worked out for both of us. Between Beryl and Debby, they had plenty to do. I also knew my problem was small in comparison to most. Lenny arrived, did some work and gave me a detailed report. It's a tricky area and he was pretty sure he fixed the problem ~screws, tar, etc. He asked that I call when we get rain to let him know whether it was fixed or not. So far, two light rains, no leaks. And, I was not charged for the 30-45 minutes he took repairing the roof. It's the experience you think isn't possible. Even if it's not fixed, I know who I'll call for the repair.

They were very nice people. They were on time for the estimate and to do the repairs. They were nice to deal with. Their price and quality of service was excellent. I would use their services again in the future.

Mr. Kelly came and did the estimate and had his crew at my home in less than a week and my roof on, the yard cleaned up and were gone by the end of the third day. I am a single female and this was my first roofing experience, so I had many questions/concerns. Mr. Kelly was very knowledgable and answered all of my questions without ever once rushing me or making me feel insignificant. His crew was very professional and courteous and they were respectful of my property and took extra care to leave everything as they found it. Good quality work. I have them coming back next month to install some gutters on my home. Very pleased all the way around.
