Armor Roofing Company

Got 5 bids. Armor was neither the lowest or highest. Of all people I contacted, Steve was the most responsive. He returned calls in short order and came across as a man of high integrity. He;s the only person I spent a lot of money with that I didn't meet in person before sending him my 25% down check. His crew showed up on time and did quality work. Everything went as planned on my job, even the weather. His crew was both friendly and hard working. They cleaned up each day at the end of the day. My job took 2 days plus a couple of hours. Steve visited the job each day including day 3 when he picked up my check. His foreman was very knowledgeable and his crew worked well together. I have since contracted with a gutter company and a remodeler on his recommendation. If you like doing business with someone whom you can trust to do you a good job, Steve Kelly is your man.

Unbelievable! I called Armor around noon and left a voicemail message for Steve Kelly. He called me back in about one hour. I told him about the repairs that I needed and he asked if he could send out his team leader in about 30 minutes. Well, yeah! They arrived when expected, jumped on the roof and checked out my problems. They quoted me a very fair price and started working. A couple of hours later they were done, cleaned up the area, and were off. Why don't ALL companies treat their customers like this? I actually came away feeling good about spending money on repairing my roof. I highly recommend Armor Roofing based on this experience with the company.

Armor Roofing was hired to install a new roof on 10/20/14. We chose Armor due to the professionalism displayed by Steve Kelly. Steve everything in detail upon first visit. Provided a list of addresses Armor roofing had completed in our area and surrounding. Armor roofing was very punctual each day they arrived, very professional. Answered any questions or concerns. Excellent clean up on property.

Our telephone call was returned promptly. The search for source of leak was very thorough...both inside attic and on the roof. They arrived on time the following day for work. All personnel were very professional. All work was completed in one day. They were careful to match (color) of new shingles to old. All debris was cleaned up. We are very satisfied. l

This company and the owner Steve Kelly,are by far the BEST most honorable company any where in North Florida. Steve (the owner )is on top of everything all the way from start to finish,and above all he communicates with you daily even if he has nothing to say. Communication and prompt work is the name of the game in any great business. I had 4 estimates ,he wasn't the cheapest but real close. If you'r like me and have become sceptable of all buisinesses,think of at least this ONE roofer you can trust and wom't be sorry.OH, and he never asks for half down or anything like it.I was asked for 1,000.00 to start the job for some materials and nothing more until I was satisfied.

At initial consult, Steve inspected the roof, discussed a potential area of concern, and provided information and samples of roofing material. He also provided a list of addresses and roofing products selected, to better envision the finished project. The roofing tiles were delivered the morning before the job, as advised. The roofing was completed within 1 day. Steve came to the job site multiple times, and even sent pictures of the area of concern, once uncovered; in addition, he communicated with us the entire day, keeping us informed. The roof looked great. Steve did a follow up check for any possible missed nails on the ground. Overall, we were very impressed by the service: - unmatched communication before, during and after completion - impressive punctuality- he was always there when scheduled - he was upfront with costs, timeliness, possible repair details - final outcome was as desired. We felt comfortable working with him, and appreciated his honesty and good work ethics. We definitely would call him again - and strongly recommend his services.

They completed the job in about two days time. We spoke with three different people and Armor represented themselves better. We are real happy with it. They did some extra things like vents in the roof as well. They aren't the cheapest.

Very helpful and helped us trouble-shoot a water leak. We had a brand new roof put on 2 years ago by a roofing company that went out of business suddenly in the Jacksonville area. Stephen was helpful and honest in helping us figure out the source of the leak. He could have easily lied and told us that we needed our roof replaced. Instead he was honest, and said that the roof looked really good, and that it was most likely caused by the chase cover on our chimney. We are very grateful for honest contractors like this since we are newer first time home-buyers. He saved us a lot of money and headaches.

I am very pleased with the results. Steve was very patient in helping me select the shingles that I would be happy with. He provides addresses of the homes he has re-roofed and the manufacturer/color shingles that were used, so I could drive around and see the "big picture". Steve's crew was awesome

The roofing work took an extra day or two but no complaints from the tenants and they cleaned up afterwards too. The owner returned by calls promptly and I felt he as pretty straightforward in our discussions. |I had inspected a couple of other houses Armor re-roofed and they all looked great too.

On his initial visit to observe the old roof and prepare a proposal, Steve Kelly performed a thorough inspection of the roof, pointed out potential issues with removing old roof and installing new roof, and clearly explained the work he would do. On installation day, the roofing crew arrived ahead of schedule and quickly began work. Due to rain predicted to occur in the afterrnoon, Steve assigned a large crew (9 people) to make sure the old roofing material was stripped and new felt laid down to protect the roof before rain arrived. The crew was courteous, efficient, and finished shingle installation the first day. They came back the next day to install the rolled roofing. After installing the roof, they did a good job picking up and hauling off debris.

We had the same excellent experience contained in other reviews. Steve showed up when promised to give an estimate. He made suggestions on color, provided us with a list of other jobs he's done in our area so we could see what the colors looked like and check references. Once we picked our color, Steve provided a schedule for the delivery of materials and start and finish of work. Everything happened as scheduled. We could not ask for anything more.

Steve Kelly, owner, was a pleasure to work with, very professional with excellent follow up. Steve's presentation of his product and service was excellent. Workers compensation and liability insurance certificates were provided promptly. Met every commitment and stuck to his timeline to a tee. His crew provided excellent, fast, efficient and quality workmanship with thorough cleanup. His quote was very competitive, would recommend him highly and would definitely use him again!

I could not go forward with the repair (for personal reasons) but Lenny explained what measures I could take to do a temporary repair which I did and it has worked so far.

We had a difficult time choosing a roofer because the information we received from the roofers we invited out to quote was conflicting and there was a significant variation in pricing. Ultimately we chose Armor Roofing because Steve Kelly took a lot of time with us to explain things (before we gave him the job) and because of price. The job went forward as scheduled with only one hiccup. The hiccup was that the dumpster remained in our driveway (blocking our garage access) for several days after the roofing work was completed. But for that one problem, the job went flawlessly.

Steve came by and was on time to give me a straight foward quote. The reviews and his personality was easy for me to decide. Steve told me 1 1/2 days to complete the roofing job and he was right on. The roof looks amazing. Everything he said he was going to do, he did. Stayed in contact with me the entire time. Steve and his crew have it going on. Thanks Steve. Will be an easy decision in the future if I ever need any roof work done.

It went well... first 1/2 day was spent exposing the area. The second day he came back with supplies to replace the rotting wood and bad shingles. He also touched up areas with paint that were affected by the work Can't complain about the work. We saw photos of the damaged area...but photos were not taken of the repair made to the underlying wood. It would have been nice to have had some since we did not actually climb the ladder to check out the work before shingles were placed on top of the new plywood. I don't question the integrity of the company...just concerned about future buyers of our home and their comfort level.

All the work was excellent.

He showed up on time and looked inside where the leak was coming in to the house. Went up into the attic and determine exact location. Quoted price and after agreement scheduled to come back in two days as he had to go buy wood and extra shingles to match roof. Came back and tore off shingles and showed me whre the water was geting into the house. replaced wood and shingles. Have not had a issue with any leaks since then. Job well done.

They delivered the shingles on Monday and replaced the roof on Tuesday. They came on time and did the whole job in one day. The crew arrived right on time, did a really good job and left the grounds clean. The trash trailer what hauled away on Wednesday morning. We were more than happy with the job and would recommend them to anyone looking for quality workmanship.

Steve and his crew were prompt, courteous,and professional. Steve stayed in contact with me throughout the re-roofing job and gave me updates as needed. The job was completed in one day and the workmanship was very good. In addition, the value for the price was very high. I am completely satisfied with the work.

First call had a message to call "Lennie" who does repairs. Called Lennie. He was responsive and had repair scheduled and completed as promised. He found an additional issue after the original estimate which he repaired for an extra $100. It has not rained hard since the repair, so we cannot confirm the leak is repaired.

Armor Roofing is a first rate company. Steve Kelly is the owner and a joy to work with. He showed up exactly on-time to give me an estimate, told when he could get to my roof, and his crew arrived exactly on that date. His crew is really a hard working bunch of men. There were about 7 workers up on my roof at one time. They finished in less than two days. Steve himself came after the job was finished and evaluated everything, picked up stray nails, spray painted the newly installed dryer vent and took away extra material. Overall, I would recommend his company to anyone. I really love the quality workmanship and color of my new GAF shingles!!!!

They were very responsive and they called back immediately after I called them. We did play phone tag for a while because I was in and out.Their price was in the same range as the others.

Steve was personable and knowledgeable and answered any questions we had. His crew showed up when he said they would and they were able to complete the job in a day. The roof looks great and Armor Roofing made what seemed like a complicated process seem pretty easy.
