+ -1 moreNot good- the guy Jason should not have come because it was too complicated of a fix, he didn’t want to work on LG which I was clear about stating the brand in my request. He stayed around 5 minutes took panel off looked at it and said he couldnt do it but charged me the $80 for showing up which wasn’t that big of deal for him since he was in the neighborhood on another call anyway- totally wasted my time and money and i feel ripped off because rec’d no kind of benefit from his visit. Name of Company Appliance Services of Jacksonville.

+ -1 moreMy dryer was not drying my clothes on a normal cycle. There was lint on my clothes, they were wrinkled,and the lint trap was not trapping the lint. I was recommended to Michael Miller from a member of my church. I called him and he came to my house the next morning. When he inspected it he found that not only was my vent clogged but the vent pipe was an underground pipe that needed to be cut, cleaned, and refitted. He also took the shell of my dryer apart to clean the inside. He spent a total of 2 hours and charged me $150.00. He told me that a company would charge about $120.00 an hour. So he saved me a total of $90.00. After he left I didn't just take his word for it, I called a couple companies and he was right, they wanted to charge me anywhere from $250.00 to 325.00. I was very pleased with his service and he was the nicest man I've met in a while. Thank You Michael Miller! If every I have an appliance problem I will call you!

+ -1 moreIt sucked!!! We are in $730 for a $40 part!! Stay away from this company!
Description of Work: We reported a Thermador oven that convection bake would not work. Thermador gave us the name of IS Appliance as an approved service provider in our area. They came out (late) and said that we needed a control board and a thermal sensor. I asked them how they knew this as they didn't do any type of diagnostic tests. They told me that this was what was wrong and ordered the parts. After putting in the control board it still didn't work. They then said they would order the thermal sensor and come back and replace it in 2-4 days. After 30 or more phone calls and 3 months they still didn't come out. I eventually ordered the sensor and put it in myself. It still did not work. We again called Thermador and told them what had happened. They said that IS was no longer an approved provider and all they could do was give us the name of another provider in our area. The other company came out, pulled out the double ovens, ran tests and said it was the convection element that was bad($38)! Now in addition to the $560 we had to pay another diag charge($50) and a service call($80) to the new company!!! I have continued to call IS to no avail, they never answer the phone or if they do say they are out of the office and will call us when they return and never do!
