Two electricians called 30 minutes prior to the appointment in order to confirm that I was home. They arrived on time to my scheduled appointment. I needed to replace a smoke detector that was located in the middle of my dining room ceiling which is 20+ feet above the ground. The height of my ceiling was the reason it was difficult to find a company that could reach the smoke detector. They were able to do it easily and quickly with an extremely tall ladder. While I had the electricians at the house, I had them change my outdoor entryway can light with an LED long lasting 5 year light bulb because it was also located 20+ feet from the ground. I was relieved that both tasks were successfully accomplished. My builder grade door bell that was only a year old needed to be replaced because it quit working. All 3 tasks were complete within an hour. The workers were nice, professional, and they did not waste their time because they were on the clock. I would recommend this company without hesitation.

The first time, I was extremely pleased with them all the way around. They were timely and did a really good job. The second time, they were timely, but it seemed a little expensive. I was looking for some additional work for them to do, but I couldn't really get them to give me a good solid estimate. To me, they were not up to the standard of what the first guy had done.

They are very professional, punctual, and very knowledgeable. I feel very confident with each of the workers that have been to the home at this point.

They were very efficient. I was even given a discount. They moved an outlet from my kitchen. Overall, they are professional, and have an A grade. I am also using them in the future.

They called an hour before, as scheduled, and arrived on time at around 11 am. Upon reviewing our electrical panel, they advised of some issues with the manufacturer Federal Pacific Electric and suggested that we might wish to review it online. We did so, and it seems that these FPE panels, ours probably the original unit when our home was built, had been tested by several authorities in various states and frequently found to be defective, causing several fires and even some allegations of falsified UL testing results, apparently no longer in business. Although we've lived here for 30+ years with no problems, we decided it was prudent to upgrade the panel and got an acceptable quote from them, and gave them our OK. Note, while we are generally very, very skeptical of such "upselling" from requested work to a more expensive job, we didn't feel this was the case in this instance. In addition to the whole-house surge protector, we also had two new smoke detectors installed (we furnished the detectors). The two young men who did our work: Lonnie Roundtree and Jerry Dyer, were both extremely pleasant and very professional. They explained everything they were doing, answered all our questions, were very helpful and just generally did an overall very good job, in all respects. They were here from 11 am to late afternoon, around 6-something, and worked steadily, replacing the panel in our garage. Our total cost was about $1300, which we paid by credit card through their office. I think this was our third time using this electrical contractor, the other times we used them were several years ago and each experience has been positive, with no problems. We would not hesitate in using them again, or recommending their service. MJP

After purchasing a foreclosed home that I had planned on doing extensive remodeling to, I noticed the home did not have adequate expansion available in the service panel for the improvements I had planned. I contacted several electricians to inquire about the process of a service upgrade and the installation of a new larger service panel. American Electrical Contracting was able to provide me a quote over the phone, based on public records of the home, and their extensive knowledge of preforming upgrades. Their price was very competitive, and was the best I obtained from 3 bids. They pulled the needed permits quickly, coordinated with JEA, and was able to get me on their schedule within a week. Other companies were giving me time frames of 4-8 weeks out, claiming pulling permits and coordinating with JEA took that long. On installation day the electrician was prompt, professional and very courteous. He arrived at 8:00 AM and was done by 3:00 PM. He patiently waited until almost 6:00 PM for JEA to return to reconnect the main service to the meter so he could check everything prior to leaving. He even installed an additional outlet in my garage that I had not included in my original request, while he was stuck there waiting on JEA. The quality of work was great. Everything is neat and tidy inside the service panel, so much so the city inspector even made a comment on how well the job was completed. Fast, efficient, and quality, sum up American Electrical Contracting?s work. Highly recommend them and will use them for my future needs.

Katie at the office hellped me organize equipment purchases and prepare for visit. She told me about their coupon but I didn't need to use it. The two men who did the work called 1/2 hr before/were on time/did the work well, and cleaned up after.

Superb service, couldn't be happier. Asked for appointment at 7:00am and they arrived 4 hours later.

They were on time, called ahead, fixed everything quickly which included having to make a run to the shop for the new switches. They cleaned up after themselves and were very polite.

Called that morning to set up an appointment and a technician, Brian Moore, came out that afternoon. I had the parts for the service and he was able to get me a better surge protector with installation at less cost than I paid for the part. He was on time and worked quickly on putting in both parts. After he was done and we paid for his hourly rate he then explained how the surge protector worked and the warranties with the unit. He also answered numerous questions thouroughly and I felt he was not going to leave until we had all our questions answered. Great service and I look forward to using the company for all my electrical needs.

Great experience over the phone and in person. The dispatcher called back in the morning with an appointment that afternoon! George and Michael came over and expertly installed everything -- they even swept off the lanai when they were done (something they didn't have to do, but it was much appreciated). Extremely friendly service, and we loved how they went the extra mile to make sure that we were happy. We would definitely recommend them again.

I've used AES before, so I knew they do great work. I told them what I wanted, and they suggested something better and cheaper, which is great - they could have just done what I asked and charged me more. They took the time to analyze what I needed and offer the best solution.

The experience was positive right from our request for a quote. This company was very responsive. They arrived on time and completed the contracted work within the time estimate. Very professional, job sites were cleaned of debris and warranties were explained to me. I will definitely utilize their services again!

I initially sent an email with pictures of the work I needed to have done. I received a return email that they received my request and than we made contact on the phone. We discussed the price and how long he thought it would take if no complications. I scheduled the time. Although they were late, they did call me to tell me on their way and what the delay. I appreciated that, as some things are just out of your control despite your best efforts. The two gentlemen came and got right to work. One started on moving the electrical boxes outside and the other diagnosed and replaced the detector. They explained everything to me in terms I would understand and didn't mind my hovering. They were very profession and courteous. I would definitely use them again and recommend them to friends and family.

They were great - very flexible and intelligent when it came to all the various obstacles one can run into when running electrical. Fred is great and he and I both made a trip to Home Depot mid-project for a couple items to get everything just right. I had to buy the light bulbs that went into the canned lights. And since they were in a wet area, I wanted to be certain I got the right thing. I was actually sending photos of merchandise on the shelf at the store to Fred's phone asking "Is this it?" If that's not customer service, I don't know what is. ;) I would certainly use these guys again!

On time; quick; efficient; can't say enough good things about this firm. Second time I have used them and I now consider them "my electricians"

The workers, Mr. Ellis and Mr. Hughes, were very professional and worked in an efficient way. They worked quickly, but thoroughly, making note of a couple of adjustments that needed to be made. They cleaned up after themselves and were very polite. They made this project easy for me.

They made the repairs quickly and without incident. The estimate was accurate and they completed everything without any issues.

Austin and Charles showed up on time and were well-mannered and extremely knowledgeable and efficient. Took about an hour and a half and stopped the clock when I had to go get some parts I had forgotten at the hardware store. I will call American Electrical anytime I need electrical work done.

They were very very good. They were very professional and they are very conscious as far as did you need to have done now or you don’t need to have done now, that kind of thing.

All work was professional and high quality. Missing materials caused some delay, but Robert kept us updated throughout. Generator has performed perfectly. Great customer service.

I used American Electrical Contracting Inc on 2/28/2014. I was very happy with the service I received so I decided to use them again. Once again I had a great experience with this company. I was pleased to have Shawn Reynolds and Ray sent to my home. Again both guys were quick and cleaned up any mess. As usual Shawn provided outstanding customer service and answered any questions. I am more impressed that I had great back to back experiences. It was nice to see consistency with the service I received from American Electrical Contracting Inc……(American Electrical Contracting Inc)----I especially want to say how outstanding Shawn Reynolds was!!
