AWESOME! I've used American Electrical before and there is a reason I used them again. Initially called the office to get quote from Gary. He told me options over the phone, requested pics of space and quickly got quote to me by email. Ian and Chris showed up on time, confirmed work to be done, started job and informed me of two minor issues so adjustments could be made. I'm so pleased with new LED lights over 80's boxed fluorescent lights. Plus they use less energy!

I received a written estimate from the company but did not use them for the job. I was made aware that the t.v. that I wanted mounted was too heavy for the wall to support. I agreed and the work was not performed. I appreciated their honesty.

This company does it the right way. Excellent customer service. Arrived on time and finished sooner than expected. I highly recommend them. I would use them again,without hesitation.

There was a mix up and apparently I had previously contacted a different (and closely similar) American electrical company operating in the Jacksonville area. This particular company honored the over the phone price quotes from the other company and also accepted the $25 coupon provided to Angie's list members. This was done in less that 10 minutes with 1 call from the technician (Justin and his helper) to the company. The work was done professionally and in a timely manner. Well pleased with the customer service all the way around. The response was also very punctual. Will certainly consider using them for near future electrical projects. Again, an all around good experience!

Fantastic job on both projects. Really, really pleased. We will request this team again. They are "can do" electricians who obviously take pride in their work and wanted us to be happy. We are. Great! Appointment was set for them to arrive between 8AM and 8:30 and they arrived at 8AM sharp. Both of the men were professional and curtious.

The electrician did an excellent job finding a loose connection and installing two new circuits in my house. They also installed a whole house surge protector. I was thrilled with the service and the thorough explanation of what they were doing. They were quick and efficient and did the job well. I will definitely call them again if I have any electrical needs.

My homeowners insurance company did a survey of my home. They identified a problem with the electric service panel. My home was built in 1986 and a Federal Pacific Electric panel was installed by the original builder. These are known to be defective and a fire hazard. American Electrical Contracting was able to provide me a quote over the phone based on several questions about my home. They came out the next day and performed the work. Ryan and his teammate were on time and performed the work quickly. They were very polite and friendly. They tested every light and outlet in the house and labeled all the switches in the new panel. AMC even provided pictures for my insurance company. They did and excellent job of cleaning up the job site. I am very pleased with this work and will utilize them for my future electrician needs.

I had to call another provider who will be out on Monday to do the work.

First, the estimator was professional and courteous. He took his time to talk to me about options of what they could do and what I would like. I asked him for a high end estimate off the top of his head so that I could proceed with budgeting for the project, he provided one but said don't hold him to it until he was able to actually tally the material costs. He called back after the weekend and provided the final written estimate via email. It was $300 lower than the high end estimate he gave for budgeting purposes which really helped. The workers were prompt, courteous, and professional and did their best not to interfere with my wife and 2 dogs daily routine. They finished the work expeditiously and did exactly what they said they would do.

Able to respond within an hour of a call to solve an electrical outage due to a short circuit. Clay and his associate were prompt, courteous and professional. The problem was located and corrected within an hour. Would not hesitate to call them in the future

I called American Electrical on Wednesday afternoon and was able to schedule an appointment for that Friday morning. The technicians arrived on time and got to work quickly. They explained everything they were doing, asked my input on chandelier height in both the front foyer and dining room. They also explained the difference between CFL, LED and halogen bulbs. I was asked if there was anything else I needed done and the technician did secure an electrical box for the compressor to the outside wall of the house. They cleaned up after they were done.

Very professional, knowledgeable, and courteous. Graciously went to the hardware store to get the parts that I did not have for the floodlights. Very impressed with services provided.

We made an appointment for 1:30pm the following day. The next day they contacted me around 10:00am, and said one of their trucks was near to my home and they had completed that customer's work much sooner than anticipated and could they come to my home to work on my jobs. I, was happy to agree since I had not had hot water for 3 days. About 30 minutes later the truck arrived and Mr. Moore and Mr. Williams introduced themselves and we went over my requested work order which I validated, then they went straight to work. Everything was completed very professionally and they took care to remove all pursuant debris. They advised me that my surge protection was a lifetime warranty and should it fail to work as designed my electrical appliances were covered at $1,500 @ up to a total of $25,000 (No Deductible). Cost for for surge protector & install $199.00 Total cost for service & parts was $366.15 with 10% discount for Military Service. To say that I'm pleased is an understatement

time They were very quick to respond and showed up on time. They fixed a recurring problem and found that some wiring was incorrect when the house was built. They found it when the county inspector and a house inspector had not picked up on it. I would definitely use them again. The crew was professional, didn't waste rime to run up the bill and overall great.

All was great. Made contact online on Saturday and got an immediate reply. Made contact on Monday morning and they showed up a couple of hours later. Very professional. Made repairs quickly and the price was better than I expected. James and Pat did an excellent job, Also the secretary (Kathy, I think) in the office was very friendly and made things flow smoothly. She even called back and checked to make sure everything went well. I have used AEC on another occasion for some outside wiring and had the same great service. I would definitely recommend AEC and will use them for any future electrical work.

I greatly appreciate the value American Electric brought to the equation. A previous electrician had "offered" to do the same work for almost $900 more! Then he bagged out of the job with 4 days left until my tiler arrived. The woman who booked my appointment was so understanding. The guys showed up on time and called before they arrived. They were done swiftly. They advised regarding potential issues and offered solutions. They completed the work at a very reasonable price. Both men were personable and professional. Since we were in the middle of a kitchen remodel, they had to work around my plumber while he was doing his work. They were very gracious about it. I'd hire them back any time!

Everything went great with Gary and the electrician as well. The only downfall is that when they are on their way to your home if you do not answer the phone right away they skip you and go on to the next job. It's not the workers it's the office staff. I wish I had known from the beginning and would have given them additional numbers. I was at work and my husband was at home waiting pretty much the entire day for them to arrive due to me not answering the phone. We got skipped twice. I found this policy very unprofessional and hope this company will inform their clients of this for now on. Overall I was very pleased with the price and my services and will use them again.

Called this afternoon and asked about getting an electrician to move a light/fan switch. They said they could do it this afternoon, which surprised me. They arrived at 4:30 and discussed with me different ways to accomplish what I wanted. They finished at 5:00pm. They were fast, professional, and cleaned up after themselves. They politely tried to see if I was interested in hearing about a whole house surge protector. They also gave me two quick guestimates on other electrical work. Charged me $98 for a half hour (their minimum time), plus $28 parts, plus $25 permit. Used one of their $25 off coupons. Cost $126. Very happy with them, and would use again.

Went well. They were always on time and efficient. Great work. I would hire them again.
