Would give a zero but it won't let me. So this is going to be a little long but I would read this if you want to save your hard earned cash. I WOULD NOT have air to air do any work on my home. I purchased a brand new DR Horton home in 2020. My AC unit is exactly 4 years old as of this post. The AC wasn't cooling the house properly when we moved in so I called the contractor who put in my unit; as it was still under warranty (Air to Air / Carrier). I had rooms not cooling and some that would be freezing. They sent there lead technician to check on the issue because they had replaced my ducting already. Their lead technician put in writing that the unit installed in my home was TOO SMALL FOR THE SIZE OF MY HOUSE and was causing it to be overworked. I currently have a 3.5 ton unit. After the technician left he wrote in his paperwork (which I have a copy) that the unit was to small for the home, could have mold issues in the future due to poor airflow and the ducting needed to be rerouted again. A few days later I get a call from the manager saying that he wanted to come look at it. He came to my home with a lead engineer, who I frankly think he was lying about his title. I told them both that their lead technician who they said does all the best work says that the unit is to small for my home (2400 sq ft). He began to argue with me and say the technician doesn't know what he is talking about and it was based on the window/door placement. So I replied "why the h*** did you send him if you don't believe what he is telling you in order to fix the problem"? He just continued with "this is what the engineers put in the paperwork". They did the ducting but never addressed the issues with the outside unit or the airflow. The temps did get better after the ducting but would not talk about the other issues and said plainly we will not put in a bigger unit. Fast forward to today (10/2/24). I now have to completely replace my entire system 4 years later; because the outside unit is overworked and parts are beginning to fail and will not cool fast enough; while the inside unit has started to get mold and cannot push enough air while constantly having drain issues. I got two quotes today from separate companies and guess what they said; "sir the unit that was installed in this house is not the right size and you need an minimum of a 4 ton unit and I don't know how they passed inspection with this work or unit". I now have to come out of pocket $11,000 for an issue that I addressed to AIR to AIR in 2021and it was completely disregarded. No one should be buying an new AC system 4 years into a new construction home. They only cared about the money and not the customer and kept putting band aids on my problem. Little do they know that other homes on my street are having the same problem and we will be addressing it as a whole. At this point I am getting an attorney to file a lawsuit. I have kept every piece of paper since I have bought my home and can prove they knew this was an issue. I would not go anywhere near this company and tell everyone to pay a little more for better work, quality and customer service. They will screw you in the long run because you will be replacing a unit long before the shelf life.
Description of Work: Air ducts needed replaced twice and the airflow wasn't enough to reach parts of the home.

Customer service is horrific, unbelievable! DO NOT use this company! During the tune up, Air to Air diagnosed a problem with bi flow drier which should be under warranty but they denied to replace it because “it is not under warranty”, according to them. They charged me for both labor and part . After paying, I asked for the part warranty but Megan, the customer service, turned around and told me the part is covered under warranty and they only charged me labor only at $365. What a horrible wacky company, a ripoff! They charged annual service at $250 which is 10!times higher than Home Depot. Please take this warning seriously or else they suck your blood!

Well; the problem came on suddenly when one of our two units (both installed by Air-to-Air) stopped cooling. Upon receiving my late morning call, Theresa dispatched JR from Fernandina to St. Johns to make the repair. JR thoughtfully called two hours ahead to tell us that he would arrive late in the day/early evening; and he called again 30 minutes out to alert us to his arrival. He diagnosed and fixed the problem quickly. Good man.

Service was great - came out the same day I called. Called the company to see if the motor was still under warranty unfortunately, it was not. Replaced the motor, cleared out the drain line. I had a 10% off - was able to look in the MINT mag for another coupon too. Very helpful and friendly.

All of the duct work leaked air. The air conditioner did not drain correctly and there was water leaking in my attic. We argued for months over the air conditioner. I had to have the whole unit disassembled and brought down. I had another company come in and fix the problem and reassemble the air conditioner.

The new capacitor made the AC unit work again, but I was very upset with the lack of professionalism and in particular the $150 charge for a product that's under warranty and a service man who was physically here for less than 20 minutes. I sent an email to the owner, Mr. Cale Howard, and told him how I felt robbed, raped, and similar by first, being told the day before that "Chris" , the service man would call me, which he never did; that I was pretty upset a brand new unit was malfunctioning less than 2 years after being installed; and finally, with the $150 service charge. I sent Mr. Howard an email on 9/2 telling him how upsetting it was to be told by the folks that answer his phone, that the service person would definitely call me and how upsetting it was that the unit stopped working less than two years from installation. Mr. Howard responded to that email saying "The carrier unit is a superior product. The parts will not last forever!!" When I sent a second email letting him know how upset I was at being charged $150 for the service call, (and that's when I told him I felt robbed, etc.), he wrote a poorly written, and quite unprofessional email response, saying, "As for the price, it costs approximately $65 for my truck to arrive in your driveway. Then, it costs another $35-$50 for my people to process the claim for the part to get my money back, in about 3 months. Meanwhile, i stock my truck with thousands of dollars' worth of parts, in an effort to have the part you need, when you need it. Otherwise, we would have had to leave you without air for another night in order to get the part and return with it. My charge covered my cost, barely, and is very reasonable. The words you used, including smoke, mirrors, greed, raped, robbed and the phrase, taken to the cleaners, was very inappropriate, to say the least. Of course, nothing could be further from the truth. I wish you the bet of luck in finding an air conditioning company to do your work, free." Sincerely, Cale Howard, Operations Manager/V.P of Sales Air To Air Inc. 11578 Davis Creek Ct. Jacksonville, FL 32256 By the way, when the unit was installed, one of the criteria, was the unit was to be elevated off the ground. I just got a good look at what the installer from Air to Air did in September 2012. He jury rigged an old wooden pallet and that's what he put my AC unit on top of. And guess what, the pallet is beginning to disintegrate so I'm going to have to have this corrected immediately. The air handler in the garage also has multiple problems which my 85 year old father pointed out to me. This company is a joke! I wouldn't trust them to change a filter for me, let alone believe a word they say about anything. If anyone would like to come look at my unit and the horrible job they did, please feel free to contact me.
Description of Work: I purchased a brand new Carrier AC unit from this contractor on September 12, 2012. The salesman was the owner's son, Cale Howard. He promised the world but as it turns out, absolutely everything he said is not true. On Labor Day of 2014, 11 days before the two year anniversary of the brand new unit being installed, the AC stopped working. The unit is still under warranty yet the service man charged me $150 for a new capacitor saying that's what the problem was. He said the Carrier's aren't built like they once were and that they have to replace the capacitors plus many other parts often. He was at my home less than 20 minutes, including installing the new capacitor. While writing out the invoice, he commented I can thank President Obama for the poor quality of the unit.

We had many problems with this provider. Almost everything they did needed to be redone after an initial attempt. 1) The compressor they installed (supposedly brand new) was extremely noisy, so much so that the neighbors complained. They "balanced it" and it improved for a while, but now seems to be quite noisy again. 2) We have a baffle that splits the air flow between upstairs and downstairs. On their first attempt, our downstairs bedroom was somehow connected to the upstairs airflow. That had to be redone. 3) They installed the air handler too close to the garage entry door, and the ducting had to be moved to allow sufficient clearance. They charged us an extra $500 to fix their mistake. 4) They installed an air handler that looked like something out of a museum. They had sent someone with little experience and no supervision to do the work on a Saturday. After a lot of complaining, they rebuilt the air handler. It now looks a lot better, but leaks onto the garage floor. 5)We requested that they install Honeywell digital controllers, that I bought on Amazon and that have over 300 positive reviews. They refused. My general contractor installed them in about 5 minutes. Overall, we had a very poor experience with these people (hence the F grade) and I would never let them near my house again. We had another HVAC contractor with very high Angies List ratings evaluate our system (particularly the air handler) and they were appalled by what they saw, so much so that they took photos and sent them to Carrier to report on the inadequate installation. These people created a lot of grief for us in the midst of many other renovation challenges. I would have rather paid more money to receive quality, efficient work and good service and have avoided the hassles. I recommend you look elsewhere for HVAC installation projects.
Description of Work: Installed ducting, compressor and air handler for a whole-house renovation.

the provider did nothing! they were a now show. I totally understand due to the recent hot spell, all AC svc centers are busy, but what is unacceptable is after 3 phone calls to AIR TO AIR, they did not even bother to say they are not coming out! Would of been fine with a simple phone call saying we are overbooked and will not be able to make it today, but will be there next day. Simple enough but apparently too difficult for AIR TO AIR to grasp. We called Waycoff AC and they will be out in 2 hours. I understand why Waycoff has an unblemished record on AL. AIR TO AIR installed the unit at our house and also at other homes in Northcreek. Will be sharing this review on our subdivisions web site for warn all about AIR TO AIR. I also understand if management at A2A read this and reply, they will portray themselves as the victims in all this. Anyone who reads this that is in need of a AC svc call, PLEASE CALL WAYCOFF

Description of Work: I got three quotes from 3 business and air to Air fell in the middle On each issue. Their quotes ranged from 2 hrs to 3 up to 4.5 hrs for the last as well as their rates. Air to air was the middle of the three in that area too. What killed the third company was the irronious cost and fake fixes they wanted to hit me with.I will write reviews on the too. I think they don't have any repercussions for the connected world.

My air conditioning unit quit blowing cold air on a hot day last September. I called a couple of companies just to get an estimate, especially since this was on a weekend. One called back, but I already had another company who has been servicing my unit for several years. I decided to go ahead with the company that had been performing my yearly A/C unit check-ups which was Air To Air. I was given an estimate of time of arrival which was accurate. As I have done some A/C work in the past, I already narrowed it down to the outside compressor unit. The tech went into the unit as, after his cursory review, he agreed with my evaluation and quickly narrowed it down to the capacitor as being defective. Fortunately he had a replacement unit in his service vehicle and changed it out as quickly as possible. He then performed some adjustments as his initial wiring wasn't working and got the unit back up and running. Checking on the internet, I found that there was a big difference in the price of an American made capacitor and one made in China. I have not checked the unit for manufacturer origin, but the pricing of the service and part would be for a replacement part made in the USA. Since the repair, the unit has been working without incident, so I have to give this company and technician high marks. I would definitely recommend Air To Air for yearly check-ups and for repairs especially since A/C units seem go out at the most inopportune times such as nights and weekends (another Murphy's Law).
Description of Work: A capacitor on my A/C compressor unit was found to have quit working and the tech replaced with a new replacement part.

I think they were very honest. We had information from other people, other air conditioning companies. They tried to fix it by doing something else but they could not fix it. These people came in, found the problem right away and fixed it. We had no problem with it at all since then. We were having problem with it for two years but other companies could not figure out what it was. These guys came in and found it right away and fixed it. In terms of price, I did not really have anything else to compare it to, because we did not get bills from other companies so I thought it was a little high. They had to order this piece from that company which makes the unit. Then they had to take it somewhere else and get it coated with a coating. Apparently, this company had lot of trouble with their air conditioning coils. I guess with what all they had to go through I would say it was probably all right. Considering we had spent money on other air conditioning companies and they could not figure out what it was, I would say the price was all right. Their quality of services was excellent and very good. I would absolutely use their services again in the future.
Description of Work: We used the services of Air To Air Inc. They last time they came out was six months ago. They had to put a new coil. We have our air conditioning system upstairs. They had to take the old one out, then they had to coat the new coil and then put it back in because it was all rusty and leaking. We paid about a $1000 for the work done.

They came highly recommended from one of my employees. They got here, gave us a quote and did the job. I had called others, and I had a hard time finding someone that would go in and check it out. They were always accessible. I would recommend them. I had tried calling other companies that were cheaper, but they were not able to fulfill the requests that I had.
