I helped my mother find Adept to repair her ice maker about 2 months ago. She has had to pay 3 service calls and the job still is not fixed. I have asked the office how can we make this right and was given a scripted answer. It is a shame that good service is so hard to find. My mother is still unsure that her ice maker will ever get repaired. I wonder if the employees of Adept know what the word means. They have returned some of her money on the service calls.

BEWARE, Not Recommended Contacted Adept for an estimate to repair the door hinge and replace the interior light bulb on a KitchenAid microwave. Unit is part of built in Microwave/Oven combination. After initial visit was told parts would be ordered and received in several days. After waiting a week I called and learned the parts were in and they could schedule work. Technician showed up as scheduled. He began to attempt to remove the microwave door. I could see that he was struggling as if he did not know how to remove it. Suddenly, I heard a crash and saw that the microwave door fell to my hardwood kitchen floor. Fortunately my floor appeared to be OK. At this time the technician called the office. After a few minutes he asked me to talk to the office representative. She indicated that they sent the wrong technician for the job and that he was not trained for this type of service. (I should note that this technician accompanied the owner’s son(Sr Tech) when the estimate was provided). First question, why did the untrained technician proceed if he knew he had not been properly trained? The representative asked me if I wanted their senior tech to walk him thru the repair over the phone. I said absolutely not and requested that the Sr Tech return. It was scheduled two days later at which time the Sr Tech showed up. After the job was completed I noticed the microwave door was not aligned as it was before service. He said it was the best that could be done based on where the screw holes were located? Why was it aligned before service? After the Tech left, my wife noticed a 1 inch scrape on the stainless steel front of the door. This scrape was not there prior to the service call. I immediately called the Sr Tech’s number and the call went directly to the office. I asked her to have the Sr Tech call me immediately since he was probably still in the area. He never returned my call. Later that day the office rep called me to suggest products that I could purchase to repair the SS scrape(at my expense). I indicated to her that I did not appreciate the indifference and lack of customer concern by the technician. She was very professional and indicated to me that she would share my concern with the owner and he would definitely call me. The owner never called. I can only conclude that his customers are not important nor is the quality of his work. One other note of caution. Don’t be lured by their low cost estimate as I was. It was more than made up with the high labor charge. In fact the final cost exceeded the cost by a National, skilled and experienced appliance service company.

When negotiating for the price of the work, haul away was included. Once work was done, I was informed that haul away would be done only for an extra fee. I contacted the company, I was told that I while they gave me a better price to match their competitors, haul away was no longer included. However, they never told me. The technician, Richard was wonderful. However, the company needs better customer service and not switch prices once work is done.

I had to wait a few weeks for the part, just didn't care for the 4 hour window wait for a 10 minute install. Charged me a few dollars more for using Home Advisor which I thought was odd.

Richard Kasey was amazing! He was polite and took the time to explain what repairs were needed to be done and why. They had to order the parts and that delayed the repair, but that wasn't Richard's fault. I would happily tell all of my friends and family that need any appliance repairs to call Adept!

It would have been nice to have my dryer part on the truck. It had to be ordered but they fixed it fast and it has been working fine since.

Robert was very knowledgeable and explained my options perfectly. He went with my choice and did the work quickly and efficiently. If needed I would request him for any future maintainence or repair work.

I was told by Miko the CSR that there would be a $75 diagnostic fee for coming out and I agreed. She went on to tell me if we had any work done the $75 would be credited back. At the end, we replaced a thermostat. The part was $31 and the total was $231. The tech was hear no more than thirty minutes and they wanted to charge me $100 as a flat fee for installing the thermostat, $75 diagnostic charge, $25 for the 30 second vacuuming​ with my vacuum! After arguing with Miko trying to get her to back what she told me that the $75 was supposed to be credited back I eventually had to speak to the owner and he said she misspoke regarding the credit and going over it for 10 min on the the the bill ended up being $ 131. In the end a BAD experience.

Professional in all respects.

Richard was very professional and courteous. He quickly found the problem and fixed it. Also, he explained how to avoid something like this happening again in future. The main office was very professional and courteous and contacted Richard for his status as we had an unplanned appointment come up and I wanted to make sure he had time to diagnose the problem and fix. The office (Niko) got back to me with his status and we were able to keep the original appointment. Good teamwork.

Good Customer support and follow up. They have scheduled the repair quickly as i needed and explained everything i need to know.
