Description of Work: I had laid out and measured area I wanted to re-sod. They measured the area and tried to up charge me for a substantial additional sq feet. Their measurement was substantially incorrect (in their favor). I went round & round with them. I was perfectly willing to pay for additional (legitimate) sq feet, but not their inflated number. After I proved that their measurements were wrong I Ultimately I got the deal square footage I had already paid for. But not the area I wanted and not without a lot of hassle.

Description of Work: The Angie's Big Deal I bought was $299 for some landscaping & installation of plants (I chose a bottlebrush tree, some small azaleas, & several day lilies). Since I had let Acucut owners Donald & Emily know that I also wanted to clear the bed in question & buy some pine bark mulch to cover it, he came out to our house & gave us an estimate for the additional work ($270). Donald & Emily are both very accommodating & professional, we were pleased with the results, & we would definitely hire them again.

Description of Work: The product delivered was just OK and we probably paid far too much for what we got. Plants were provided as advertised, but we had to provide excessive guidance on how to balance the bed with the back of the house. We upgraded from the coupon deal and had border blocks installed to create a defined bed which was filled with topsoil. We ended up moving almost all the plants afterwards to achieve the right appearance. Not certain the plants provided were an optimal choice for the backyard in keeping with the 50/50 sun-shade coverage of the area.

Description of Work: I had to purchase and install 1,200 pounds of top soil to fill the gaps between the pieces of sod. I had valleys that could twist an ankle if you stepped wrong on the install. They were not pressed up tightly to each other and I could see the bare ground. I have installed sod before myself and you must install the pieces of sod tightly against each other.

Description of Work: Prompt but the job reqiured that I push down some of the sod they laid down and had to edge along driveway.

Description of Work: Accucut was very responsive and prompt in working with us to install St Augustine sod after we had a bulkhead installed. It was during very hot weather, but we watered diligently, acquiring an additional $300 in our water bill. However, part of the sod at the rear of our house died within a few weeks. We talked with our pest control service who thought we had sod webworms that caused the problem. Because we had to put in a lot of fill dirt behind the bulkhead, we're not sure whether the pests were from the sod, or from the fill. So we can't be sure of where the problem came from. So we want to commend Accucut for their helpfulness and responsiveness, yet we still had to install about 70 pieces of sod ourselves to fix the problem area.

Description of Work: I would have like to know the cost of the plants I was replacing one plant for another. They were unable to tell me that when he came out . I had to wait to get that info. | |Example I didn't need a tree. They didn't say well that gives you 50 to spend on a replacement then.

Description of Work: The owner Don came to look at my yard to landscape and gave me a printout of a list of plants that were available and also helped me see how they needed to be placed due to the lack of only partial sun. We decided on what would be good and beautiful and he and a helper came soon afterward and removed some plants I wanted taken out and then planted the bushes and flowers and put in mulch. A couple of days later my neighbor saw slugs on my daisies. They had stripped the leaves off of several. I called Don and he advised me to get some slug bait to stop them which I did and applied it around the daisies. Don came to see how they were doing and told me that he could replace any that didn't come back. He was very considerate and helpful during the whole process. It was a very good experience for me and I am very please with the outcome.

Description of Work: Replaced the lawn with new grass. It now looks great. I only wish I considered leveling the yard first. It is lumpy when I mow the lawn now. However, the Provider did remove the old lawn and replaced it with new grass and recommended to water the lawn everyday for two weeks before mowing.

Description of Work: Planted some flowers and a tree in a small area after cleaning it up. T were very professional. They were on schedule and worked quickly and cleaned up after themselves. They did such a great job that we hired them to come back and do some extra work for us. We asked them to clean up some beds and an up some vines in our backyard. Again they showed up on time and worked quickly and cleaned up after themselves. Would highly recommend them. Priced within reason.

Description of Work: They came to my home and discussed which plants would best meet my needs for privacy and then we set an appt for installation the following week. I had to reschedule twice and they were very patient and accommodating we finally got the installation done. They cleaned up and there was no work to be done once they were finished.

Description of Work: They put in approximately 20 plants in a bed along the side of my house. Before the installation, they came out to discuss which plants we wanted for the space. The plants were purchased through them and are good quality. The planting was quick and they were careful to avoid our irrigation system lines. They were also very good about cleaning up after themselves. I would use them again and will recommend them to friends.

Description of Work: Sprinkler system tune-up. Basically, the technician checked the system, replaced damaged sprinkler heads, and adjusted spray patterns. Technician also replaced the rain sensor for the system. The amount shown was for the total price of the service, but the basic system check was paid for through a voucher, so it was below the normal cost. | |The technician was knowledgeable, and worked quickly. Whole job was done in about an hour, and system was restored to full functionality. All the irrigation piping was ok, so no digging or pipe replacement was involved. I was very satisfied with the service.

Description of Work: Installed 500 sqft of sod. They came at the scheduled time, removed the old weed-infested sod, replaced it with new healthy sod, and cleaned up the area completely. Very professional. Would consider using Acucut again, even without the special deal.
