ACACIA ROOFING

IT IS A LONG STORY. THE SMALL WET AREA INSIDE THE HOUSE HAS STAYED DRY. I STILL HAVE A BUCKET ON THE SCREENED IN PORCH WHERE THE WATER COMES IN WHEN IT RAINS. THEY DID COME OUT TWICE AFTER THAT, MADE SMALL CHANGES ON THE ROOF BUT IT STILL LEAKS JUST AS BADLY. IT COULD BE A PROBLEM THAT IS STILL FIXABLE, I DON'T KNOW,BUT COMPOUND THAT WITH THE PROBLEM THAT REPEATED PHONE CALLS TO JIMMY GARZA ARE RARELY ANSWERED. COMPOUND THAT WITH THE MULTIPLE TIMES THAT THEY HAVE NOT SHOWN UP WHEN THEY SAID THEY WOULD. IT IS A CASE OF THEY HAVE OUR MONEY AND NOW WHO CARES.

In December of 2010 I hired and paid in full the amount of $8165.00 to Acacia Roofing. My roof work was completed on December 29, 2010. The supplies for this project were delivered by a supplier to my property the day before the installation of my roof. After my roof was installed I received a letter from the supplier informing me of the law protecting them. If they did not receive payment from the company that originally ordered the materials they would have the right to come to me for payment, this appeared to be a form letter for informational purposes. March 28, 2011, I received a letter advising me that the supplier had intended to put a lien on my property because payment had not been made, as of yet, by Acacia Roofing. I called the supplier to inquire about the specifics of my situation. I then followed up with a call to Jimmy Garza, the owner of Acacia Roofing Co. Inc. We had mutually agreed that 30 days was sufficient time for him to rectify this lack of payment to his supplier. I had no other communication after this date to indicate to me that this situation had not been resolved. September 1, 2011, I received a letter from Arnold & Burguieres Attorneys at Law representing Suncoast Roofers Supply, advising me of their intent to sue for $3961.82 and possibly interest and additional attorneys fees if not received within 30 days. I have made several phone and in person attempts at their office to resolve this with no response from them. I am not in the position to pay for the roof supplies twice.
