Wade provided me with a competitive estimate.? Don installed the tile.? He was very meticulous.? We had selected a metal tile, which was more difficult to cut than the standard porcelain.? Wade and Don worked together to find/purchase a saw blade capable of cleanly cutting our tile.? The project turned out very well.? It's?a beautiful backsplash.
Description of Work: Installed an aluminum mosaic tile backsplash in my kitchen.

AAA Advanced Residential Rehab was flexible in working with my schedule, reliable and prompt, and always communicated changes or adjustments with our appointments. They were accurate in managing the length and timing for each job. They retiled a fireplace surround, patched and painted several rooms/walls, and installed a new front door. The door was installed into an existing wood frame so they had to finish the new door and refinish the frame to match. Their expert work is beautiful!
Description of Work: AAA has completed a variety of jobs over the past several months, including painting, staining, carpentry, and tile work. Owner, Wade Tiller, is very professional and their work is top notch. The wall prep prior to painting made such a huge difference in the finished look! A sincere thank you to the AAA team for a job well done!

He was very responsive and professional. However, we weren't happy with his work. His employees splattered concrete primer on all my woodwork, walls and kitchen cabinets. They used a self leveling concrete product, but skim coated it on the floor. This only made the high spots higher and left the low spots still lower than the rest of the floor. When we called him back the next day to correct the problem, he did the exact same thing and then dumped excess leveler in areas that were already way too high. At that point, my husband just asked him to stop. We ended up having to get more leveler and a concrete grinder to fix the work that he did. I would not hire him to level your floor. If you just want someone to skim coat your floor, then go ahead. In regards to the contractor response, we hired him to flatten the floor, not skim coat it. His workers just skim coated it. There is a big difference in flattening and skim coating. He and his workers did not scrap the floor. My husband and I did that ahead of time as well as filled in the the seams which he said was prepped perfectly. From a cosmetic standpoint, yes the floor looked better. It wasn't bare concrete and no longer was dusty. However, it was not flattened anywhere close to what would need to be done to lay hardwood floors. We expected him to use some sort of screed or board to flatten the floor. We still had 1/4 inch drops in places which were magnified because he poured more leveler on the high spots when he came the following day. We weren't expecting perfection, but Wade assured us that he would get the floor within the proper specs to be able to lay the hardwood. My husband and I both are experienced in putting down hardwood and tile, but simply thought it would be faster to hire someone to flatten the floor. We thought we were extremely clear with Wade what we needed and he repeatedly told my husband he understood. We had no complaints about rolling on the primer so that the leveler would bond to the concrete, but I would have preferred that it wasn't splattered all over my fridge, door jambs, cabinets and walls. The amount we paid was for work only since we paid separately for the materials. We have paid double that cost in more leveler and rental for a grinder. We NEVER expected perfection. We expected he would get the floor to within the specs he stated he would. He didn't come close. Like I said before, he and his crew were very nice and professional. Again, if you want to get your floor skim coated, he would do a good job. If you want it flattened in preparation for hardwood floors, I would not hire him.
Description of Work: He was hired to level our concrete floor in our house so that we would be able to install hardwood and ceramic tile.

Maybe I should have been more descriptive about the floor and our limitations upfront. Customer contacted me about a floor that had multiple issues. Mainly cracking and leveling problems. We first went in to scrape the floors with razor scrapers thoroughly. Then sweep and shop-vac. Then apply "L-Prime" a roll-on bonding primer to all concrete surfaces to increase our "bond percentage". Over-kill,,,? Yes. But a better install? For sure. Allowed the primer to set up during lunch and returned to skim the floor with self-leveling underlayment mortar. I have done this at least 100 times, and take my time with it. We finished the project an hour or so early, and I could tell the customer thought he could have done this treatment himself for free, so I offered a $150 discount to soften his costs. He was elated and wrote me a check. Everyone was happy. The next day he found three areas that could have used more leveler so I dropped in that morning and filled these areas in. We thought he was happy considering the condition of the floor now, compared to what he had earlier that week. I didn't get the floor perfect, which now figure he was looking to see, and should have told him that from the beginning. To re-skim the entire floor would have cost him another $700 in materials. And would not have been worth that amount of cash. The remainder of the adjustments are usually made up during the installation of the flooring. We usually install the wood or tile after this process, and we get our floors laser flat. He was installing the floors and probably thought they had to be dead on. We apologize that we were not more descriptive in what we could accomplish in one day with two helpers. And will be explaining the process with more depth from here on out. And the splattered mud was definitely us, should have popped in that next morning after the floor dried in to check on the cabinets and the customers. Dropped the ball on this one, for sure. Thank you for the feedback.

Tile work was done well, plumbing work was done well and install of baseboards was also done well. Will be using them for popcorn removal or any other jobs that we need in the months to come. Price was right, they were on time and very professional.
Description of Work: Assisted me with redoing tile that had been laid by another contractor whose work was not done well. Also plumbing repairs and carpentry work that had been promised would be done by the other contractor an was not. All work done through Wade Tiller was great and will be using them in the future for popcorn removal. He was a life saver.

Wade and team did a great job! The crew was very meticulous, which i greatly appreciated. They taped everything off and did a good job of prepping the walls before laying on the paint. They even pointed out where the previous job had gotten paint on the trim and they'd have to go on the trim to cover it - they didn't want me to think they had gotten sloppy, they were just covering up someone else's careless work. All in all, great to work with - excellent communication (which was greatly appreciated).

At first, when Wade arrived, he was a bit late, but very very professional, he explained all the work in great detail. I got the def feeling that this man knows his craft, and would have done an excellent job. I would have used him for his services, but because of additional work that I needed to have done, I went with another provider. I had calendared AAA Rehab to come to paint my home 50 days out. I called Wade after 10 days, giving him more than 30 days notice, that we were not going to use his services, it was at this point that he lost all sense of professionalism. He was very upset, and not at all polite or nice. I still feel that he would do a great job for anyone that uses him, I sincerely believe that his work is top notch! He def was not the cheapest, but I believe he will be one of the greatest! Just be sure that use him and don't upset him! I would have gladly referred him to others that need like services, but because of those nasty comments and texts, I will not.
Description of Work: We did not use this provider in the end. The cost of the job, plus having to buy the supplies ourselves in addition to his cost, was just too high!

Dear Member, I’m sorry you had the experience you had. I strive to do my best for my business and my customers. After painting a dozen or so homes in the neighborhood you reside, I am uniquely qualified to tackle the challenges that your walls will undoubtedly present. The cracking and every day wear and tear is a delicate, and intensive process that if not done right, will present more problems down the road. I wish you the best in your selection, and thank you for taking the time to speak so highly of the quality of our work. Please accept my apology if my initial response was less than expected, as my business is my passion. I will strive to do better, and if the need arises, please reach out as I am happy to help

I knew that Wade and I would be working together when he returned my first call to him within minutes. I was out of town during most of the project, and Wade kept in constant touch with me, with questions or just to update me on the progress of the work. I had an opportunity to meet his crew and they were polite, personable, and professional. The work exceeded my expectations - quality products, quality workmanship - I was delighted with every aspect of the work. During the project Wade even pointed out some things that I had not been aware of that needed to be fixed. All in all a very positive experience. I will definitely use AAA in the future.

Absolutely positive experience!! Quality work and wonderful team! We originally reached out to AAA/Wade for a quote to pull up our aged wood floors, lay tile and redo our fireplace with stacked stone and a new mantle. ? From our initial meeting with Wade, it was obvious that he had a commitment to quality and paid attention to all the details. ? ?AAA was not the lowest priced bid we received, however they offered ?the best value for our money - quality work at a reasonable price. ? We contracted them to do the work as well as some additional smaller, unrelated projects: outside trim power washing and repaint, indoor painting, exterior door replacement, kitchen cabinet resizing. ? Wade does not supply materials. ?He allows you to select your own materials through either his established set of vendors or, should you find materials at another store, he can set up contractors account as he did for us on one occasion. ? You pay contractor?s price without any markup which definitely saves you significantly as you get into the job. ? Wade provides expertise on and guidance in material quality but you select style. ? Wade then picks up materials when project is underway (assuming local stores) so we didn?t have to worry about any of that.? All this work was quite an upheaval in our house to get everything done. ?However, the team that Wade assembled was very conscious of this and tried to do their best to keep things picked up each evening. ? Everyone was timely and a few even worked on weekends to ensure the job got completed as quickly as possible. ? A few of the exceptional people on Wade?s AAA team (vendors, employees or subcontractors) ? all were extremely professional. We would truly be thrilled to have any of them work on a future project and will definitely be calling on Wade again.? Christy /Prosource ? Christy was wonderful showing us many stone and tile options and eventually securing our tile from their Orlando store. ? Pricing was fantastic for the product selected. Earl ? Headed up the entire tile installation portion of the job. ? Earl supervised the job coordinating all workers and made sure everyone stayed on task in addition to doing a ton of tile work himself. ?Definite commitment to quality. Don (Redondo) ? Meticulous tile and stone work ? His specialty was all the angled cuts for the flooring and the stone surround for the fireplace. ?He truly treated his work as if he was doing it for his own home ? true ownership and pride in work.? Rick ? ?Built a custom mantle from a picture we gave him. ?Rick also brought us ideas to finish the edges to make it look even better than the picture. ? He also cut down an existing cabinet to make room for new fridge. ? ?Cannot even tell it was worked on. Perfect craftsmanship. ? Dave ? Thorough paint job ?very well done. ? Detailed. ?Worked with Wade on both exterior trim and interior wall painting. Used quality Sherwin Williams paint which Wade, again, passed along his contractors discount.? We are thrilled with our choice of AAA and ?recommend them (and his network of contractors) HIGHLY. ??

This is the second time I have used AAA. As in my first project, Wade allowed me to independently purchase all materials needed. I purchased everything ( hardwood and all material ) from ProSource as recommended by Wade.? I dealt with Christie, who help me to select materials and ordered same. ProSsource has a tremendous showroom with a vast selection. Wade picked up and delivered the material, free of charge, to allow material to acclimate.? Wade had Dustin and Jay do the installation. They arrived promptly and immediately went to work. On the first day they removed all carpeting from the stairs and hallway. They than prep the entire area insuring all nails and other debris was cleared away.? Day 2 they began installing hardwood floor in hallway on the second floor and stairs. Oops, ran out of hardwood. Smart me - thought I needed less than what Wade told me to order. Consequently, project was put on hold for a few days, awaiting additional order of hardwood. Christie ( ProSource ) expedited my order and had order ready for pick-up in two days.? It is also worth mentioning that Wade is extremely particular regarding the use of proper adhesives and quality products. Dustin and his assistant returned on Monday the following week and completed the job. Dustin is a true craftsman ,is very methodical and takes extreme pride in his work. In fact, I would say he was a perfectionist. I give Wade much credit for selecting the individuals he assigns to perform AAA? projects. On Wednesday,? Wade sent Twyla and Dave,? AAA's custom painters, to? prep and paint the base and shoe.? Twyla is also AAA's in-house cleaning person. My home was left spotless when they finished. ?Wade and his crew are fantastic. Professional, prompt, all experts in their specialties. Will be using AAA again next year, 2015, to install walk-in shower in my master bath.

I call Wade based on the excellent reviews and reputation. But he end up refer the job to another drywall contractor. I was able to set up a same day estimate. He was polite and professional during estimate. We agree on $1000 to put on drywall in one shower, repair a number of drywall holes from demolition on bathtub and countertop in 3 bathrooms. He suggested to use green boards in the showers but I insists on using cement boards. He agrees to it at the end. To my little surprise, he picked up drywall wall, mud, etc from homedepot rather than having his inventory. He was picking up just enough concrete boards because of the budget but end up making a second trip next day to pick up more. He worked for two 8 hours day, wait a day for the mud to dry and work for 3 more hours the fourth day. Basically about 20 hours of labor. Although I think is a decent hourly rate, he was clearly felt under paid. The finish was good but the whole time I can feel his attitude. Won't use AAA again.

Thank you first, for your business. Secondly our drywall tradesman was under the weather for a two week period, and we also noticed his discomforts. We apologize and hope that you will call us again to help with any future projects on your home. I'm glad we could get the project finished as quick as we did, and on budget. And again apologize about our installers "no soup for you" attitude.

Unfortunately we had to stop charging the $50 consultation fee. A fee we charged when the customer didn't own the home yet. People became appalled that a company that was owned by a person that had dedicated his life and over 18 years to his trade, was trying to cover the costs of all these "free" estimates (as many as 40 per week) that mostly (95%) were going with the cheaper-faster companies solely because of cost. With very little consideration of the actual quality of the work or the actual professionalism of the project. Not to mention the risks the homeowners were risking (their homes and assets) by using companies that don't even have Workman's Compensation Insurance. All to save a buck.

AAA was a life-saver with this job. I had hired a painter to complete this job as I was moving my family into our new house and he flaked on me after I had already paid him $900 so I found AAA here on Angie's List and explained my situation to Wade. His team finished the job in less than a week at a price that I thought was a gift! They were so careful to put down paper and cover everything everywhere they were working, and they cleaned everything up when they were done. They even brought my daughter a present for her 1st birthday! By the end of the job we felt like they were a part of our family. What a great experience, and the work was impeccable! We are having them come back to paint the walls in my entire house (3200 ft with 10 ft ceilings) for $3,400, another great price in my opinion.

We apologize about having to charge for your estimate. I talked to your husband and explained the reasoning behind our policies. At least now the folks that contact us are actually interested in getting the work done. I have been to estimates in the past where the people were getting 8-10 estimates. Being a small family-owned company we don't have the manpower to run around all day giving these folks free advice. Now we are able to spend more quality time with our actual customers.

Thanks for your comment. There were several areas in your home that the drywall seams really needed addressing. One of them was the source of a major crack, and one had some water damage on it from a leak. Some painters will prime with oil, over water stains to "hide" them. I have also done my share of drywall work that painters had covered up, a year and a half later where mold remediators and extensive drywall had to be removed. My job is to do what is right for your home, my employees and our reputation. My estimate had additional drywall costs because I thought it would be worth it's price to remedy your future health concerns. I apologize that we were higher, but I had a more extensive approach than the other estimates. I hope that whomever fixed your home took the opportunity to address these same issues. We look forward to possibly looking at your exterior paint project, when that comes up as well. Thanks again for your interest in Triple A.

Description of Work: Upon submitting a request to the Angie's concierge service I was contacted by Wade of AAA. I described my need and he quickly put me in contact with Mike (one of his tile installers). We agreed to meet at my home that same day to review job and obtain an on the spot quote. Based on a very fair and reasonable quote we agreed to proceed with the install the next day. Mike and Brent promptly showed up the next morning and began working on installing my backsplash in the master bath. They installed the tile, took a quick lunch break to allow it dry and returned afterwards to grout it. At the end of the job, they cleaned up, picked up tarps and were very professional. I was completely surprised when Mike phoned me (very nice touch) after the weekend to make sure my wife and I were 100% satisfied.

Let's start with the estimate. Wade Tiller was our initial contact who owns the business. He brought Rick Kurras with him who was the person that ultimatley did the carpentry work. Wade did the painting estimate and Rick did the carpentry estimate. The carpentry work included the addition of crown molding, quarter round and the removal of a laundry room door with the replacement using French doors. The painting included two coats of paint on the entire interior of the condo which included ceilings, walls and trim. They met us at the condo exactly when they said they would. They were prompt, professional and knowledgeable. We were very pleased. We have just purchased the condo and still live out of state. We are not always at the condo but Wade worked his team to meet our schedule. One of the things Wade told us from the beginners was he wanted us to provide the materials. He said they would go get the materials for us but we would buy it directly from the supplier. This was great. I had wanted to do this anyway because I did not want to pay the markup for the provider supplying the material. Wade ususally uses Sherwin Williams for his painting products. We wanted to use another paint product, Benjamin Moore. With Rick's contacts, he also knew the folks that supply Benjamin Moore products in the Jacsonville area. Not only did we not have to pay Rick's markup, Rick got us a discount on the paint we purchased. The same was true with the wood and doors. Rick went to his supplier, purchased the materials he needed and allowed us to pay for it. We probably saved $250 by purchasing materials directly. We started with the carpentry work. Rick was very prompt to arrive when he said he would. The quality of his work was acceptional. The crown molding work had its challenges because there were many turns which were not the normal 90 degree turns. His fit up was excellent. For the door, he told us what we could expect from removing the old door and the issues in replacing the new French Doors. It allowed us to prepare for what the finished product would look like. There ended up being an issue with one of the French Doors but Rick removed the door, corrected the issue and replaced it. He recognized it was a mistake he had made but promptly corrected the mistake without question. In addition, Rick was very clean. He did not make any messess with saw dust and kept his work area neat and clean. For people than understand this type of work, maintaining a clean work area is indicative of the quality of work you will get out of the provider. For the painting, again the painters were always prompt, they were conscientious and they were courteous. The first thing they did was completely cover every inch of the floor with craft paper to protect the floor. The condo has no furniture so the task was easier than if there was furniture there but if there had been, they would have made provisions to protect all surfaces that were not going to be painted. They inspected all paintable surfaces, fixed all imperfections, sanded as needed and painted. They were timely and the quality of their work was very good. We ended up with primarily two painters. Both painters had their strengths and they played off each others strengths. Twyla was definitely the details person and she did a quality job on the cut in work. Twyla ended up completing the final details of the job and it was clear why Wade had Twyla performing that function. She was very good and paid attention to final details. My wife and I are very much sticklers for detail. We both have done this type work on our houses in the past and we firmly believe in quality over quantity. AAA did a quality job for us. As the painting progressed, we would find issues that did not meet our standards. In every case, Wade and his team corrected the problem without question. Wade believes that a happy customer is a repeat customer and the happy customer will spread the word. He does everything he can to make sure the customer is satisfied with the product AAA Advanced Residential Rehab provides. In addition, his pricing is reasonable and he takes responsibility for the work he provides. Obviously, we were very pleased with AAA Advanced Residential Rehab. We would use them again and probably will in the future. In addtion, we would recommend them to anyone needing work done on their abode.

The best service, attitude, quality and responsiveness I have ever received. Called Wade Tiller and told him I had a corner bead damaged in my daughters house (moving furniture) and a garage ceiling step through that was not intended at my house. They came in 3 days and repaired the corner bead and ceiling ready for paint. Came back the next day and painted the corner bead. Came back 4/1/2014 to my house and added texture to ceiling and painted. Wonderful job and quick service.
Description of Work: Repaired sheet rock corner and garage ceiling with texture and paint.

Wade Tiller of AAA Advanced Residential Rehab has a VAST list of partners that are specialists in all areas of construction/rehab. We have a few different projects in the works, but the fireplace was the first one completed. They arrived on time and finished the job early. It looks wonderful and we couldn't be happier. Our total satisfaction was their #1 goal. We will continue to use Wade's "network" for other updates.
Description of Work: Retiled our fireplace surround.
