Very "smooth move" indeed.

Smooths Moves did an excellent job. I am very happy with the crew they sent. They arrived on time and had all the necessary supplies needed. They worked efficiently and took great care of my belongings. I would highly recommend them to anyone. I will definitely use them again when needed. I would give them an A+ rating!

Due to a rainy day things went very slowly and they only finished up about 9:30pm, so they were in a big hurry. Not everything had fit into the truck on the first trip, so they said they'd go back and grab the rest while I was at the new location. Even though I'd made a list of everything that needed to go, they left several carloads of things behind and didn't even notify me when they broke one of my statues. On top of all of this, they left a lot of their own trash behind in both houses. I DID like the fact that they pointed out the pre-existing damage on my furniture. The owner seemed conscientious, like she cared, but that didn't make up for what the crew did.

$3200 in am envelope was stolen during the move by one of the staff and a dresser damaged. Owners do not stand behind loses... don't use them

The two gentleman hat came to help me move were the two most professional movers I have ever had. They knew how to love every piece of furniture fast and easy. They took care to wrap everything and not damage a thing. My walls are still perfect at both places. If you need a mover just call SMOOTH MOVES.

Joe and his team moved me from Jacksonville to Denver last month (Sept 2016). They arrived promptly and packed up my entire apartment in just a couple of hours. The team was very polite and easy to work with the entire time. Everything fit in the van and trailer perfectly and then I met Joe and his wife in Denver 4 days later for the unload. The unload went quickly and smoothly. Everything was in great shape and not damage at all to report. I had a great experience with Smooth Moves and I would recommend them to anyone.

The moved went great!!! Three guys showed up, Jason, Gaven, and Scott at 830 am sharp like they were supposed to. I was moving a two bedroom apt and a storage room 10 x 20 filled to maximum capacity. They analyzed every step of the way to maximize space and fit everything in. Not one single item was broken or damaged. The furniture was going into a new constructed finished home, not one scratch or dent anywhere. They guys were very respectful and very accomadating. The crew worked until 7:30 pm tirelessly. The move went very well! The movers kept me updated on their arrival time and arrived at the scheduled time. They loaded our items with care and efficiency. Plus, both movers were extremely friendly and constantly asked where they should place the items. I would highly recommend Smooth Moves!

Jason, Gavin and Daryl did such a great job helping us move! We would not have gotten done without them! They were fast, efficient and got all of all our furniture to our new house in great condition. Would definitely recommend them!

I cannot praise Smooth Moves enough. From the handling of the scheduling so we could accomplish a move out and a move in on the same day, to the extra effort put in by all of the movers and the owner, it was a great experience. The best example of how good they were was the fact that we had asked them to assemble a new bed we had ordered. We had no idea how many separate pieces it involved. They not only patiently worked on it but the owner himself came by to ensure it was done correctly. Every mover kept a smile on his face for what turned out to be a very long day.

The guys arrived in uniform and introduced themselves right away. They quickly assessed the furniture and things that they would be moving. They carefully prepared the truck and house so as not to damage furniture or the property. They were exceptional- they were funny, we felt at ease with our belongings and they moved quickly. Chris, Reggie and Jeff were our guys and we would use them again. Our preparation for the move paid off because it only took one trip. We cleaned as they removed furniture from each room. In no time we were off. Upon arrival, they quickly unloaded and placed the furniture in each room under the direction of my wife (a requirement they said jokingly). If any furniture needed to be reasembled they did as they were instructed. All of our furniture was quickly in place, undamaged, an invoice was provided, we paid, tipped very well for their hard work, and the job was complete. I was not even sore the next day, no truck to return, no hunt for diesel to fill up the old rental truck and best of all undamaged furniture and gentle on the wallet. Smooth Moves is the only way to go. Heather and Joe are the best!

It was anything but smooth. The truck broke down in the drive the first day. It was supposed to be a one day move. So, then my husband had to drive up from Jacksonville to Augustine to pick me up. The things that they moved, everything was damaged. I had left out right behind them and they beat me here to the house. They were renting a truck because their truck had broken down and it didn't have any of the paddings or stuff like that and that's why, I think, that all of our furniture had nicks and damage to it. It was really a very bad move. They just did a very poor move. They were in a hurry. They weren't being careful. The first day they were trying to move a large piece of furniture and they tore some of the wallpaper in the old house which ended up costing us over $1000 at closing.

Joes wife/girlfriend or secretary (she didn't identify herself) said NO WAY would they fix our garage screen door because we could have done it ourselves this last week ( keeping in mind joes crew moved us out TOTALLY) (we had lived there for 11 years). The Safari Screen covered the entire opening and we used the garage as a bonus room. They tore off the bottom which has withstood hurricanes and all sorts of Nor-Easrers. (We are 1 block to the beach) They wouldn't stand by their mistake! She said, 'my boys have never broken anything that they didn't tell her about'. Well their boys did this time because the parts to the screen flashing were in a neat little pile in the corner of the room. She said I had 24 hours to find it, (which I wasn't told) and I just went over to the house yesterday and noticed it. Be careful also, as they 'round up' (their term) their hours. (They said it was policy). My smart phone timer clocked them in AND out.

Very professional, careful with my things as well as the home I left and the one I moved into. I would definitely use them again and highly recommend Smooth Moves.

I used Smooth Movers for a temporary move to Jacksonville for a job in Feb, 2013. The experience was as pleasant as it could be for a moving experience, I found Joe and his crew professional and quick. When I moved back to The Villages in March, 2014 I used Smooth Moves again. I was not disappointed.

I moved from a house to a condo on the 3rd floor. The guys were right on time, courteous, cautious of breakable items & my furniture. They worked non stop until the job was done. I think it was the hottest day of the year and I have stairs only. They even carried all of my large patio planters up to my balcony. I'm sure they are still complaining about that (there's a lot)! Would highly recommend using them. Thanks Cory!

The guys were great. We inherited my parents house which was still fully furnished. They moved stuff we didn't want to my old house for an estate sale, then moved our stuff from our house to our new house(parents house), then they moved the remaining stuff from estate sale to a storage unit. These guys busted their butt moving all our stuff. They had to hire them 3 times to get everything done. It was a HUGE move back and forth and they were as patient with us as we needed to get this crazy move done. They filled the truck up twice each day they came. It was no small move at all!! They were constantly moving. They maybe took a 15 min. break during the day. I would highly recommend them.

I used Smooth Moves a year earlier to help pack a Pod. My experience was a good one, so when I moved back into the same area, I sent an e-mail asking if their rates were the same and confirmed availability for when my trailer was due to arrive. The email I received back said that my desired date was not available ? but the part about the rates was ignored. I was able to reschedule the delivery for another date, and had to e-mail several times to Smooth Moves to get a response. The date was finally confirmed ? and only then was I informed that the rates had gone up ? plus they were adding a $75 fuel surcharge. I felt that the fuel surcharge was ridiculous ? I drive back and forth to Jacksonville several times a week in a gas-guzzling SUV and it doesn't cost me $75 for the whole week. Additionally, gas prices had actually dropped 10 cents a gallon between the last time I used their services. I informed the owner that I did not need a truck ? just some guys to drive up in a Toyota and move my stuff from the trailer into the house. The owner called and said he would reduce the fuel surcharge to $40 ? still very high, but it was too late to find someone else at that point. The movers were polite and were careful with moving my furniture, etc. The one thing that caused a bit of a problem was that usually movers, contractors, etc., will ask if they can use a bathroom before they go ahead and use it. If these movers had asked me before they found (and used ? we lost one of them for 20+minutes on a three hour job) I would have told them that the water had not been turned on yet and to use the restroom next door.. Additionally, he could not find toilet paper ? but did find a big roll of paper towels which he used and completely stuffed up the toilet with (that and well?. You know what else?) Not exactly the housewarming gift that I would have liked. When the guys were finishing up, they presented me with the bill and I presented them with the Angie?s List coupon for 10 percent off. The mover called in the coupon and then handed his phone to me to talk to the owner. The owner told me that he would not honor the coupon ? I was supposed to tell him about that earlier ? although absolutely nothing to that effect was on the coupon I printed out. Additionally, he told me that the fuel surcharge would be my 10 percent off. Really smarmy in my mind. If you offer coupons, you should honor them ? and make sure when they are printed or posted, they are exactly what you are offering ? so there is no confusion. I believe the research on customer service indicates that if you have a good experience with a company, you tell four people ? if you have a bad experience, you tell ten. And you would think that keeping a repeat customer ? one that has spent over $1,000 on your services ? would be worth it as well.

I felt that the packing they did could have been done a lot faster. It took them 2 guys 3 hours and I would have thought they would have gotten much more done. I felt I would not have done that again, I would have postponed my move and did it myself. The 3 guys that did the moving were very good. There was a lot to move and it did take all day. They were good guys. They did what they said they were going to do. They were careful with all of our stuff.

I learned about this company when they moved one of my neighbors in to a condo. I liked the way they worked i.e. their responsiveness to the family they were moving and to the other neighbors in the condos i.e. people like me who needed their truck moved so I could get my car out. When my husband and I moved from the temporary condo I used their services and when we moved to a house, we used them again, a second time. They are a keeper of a company. Responsive and fair priced. I told a friend about them and she's now using them also.

This was a terribly difficult move for me to do alone since the death of my sister and father and the illness of my mother all occurred within the past two years. I was there to clear out the house alone and it was all overwhelming. It was hard to see all the memories of my family without them being there. I would give these movers a better rating if just for one thing. During moving, the men commented on items, (foreign coins, ivory pieces, artwork) from my parents. Although the movers were very friendly, I felt a bit uncomfortable as these things were personal. The men moved tools from my Dad's work bench for me. They asked if they could keep the tools I didn't want. I had to decide on things quickly & later regreted a few items I gave to them. One was a large driftwood piece I found out later was found on the beach by my Dad and given to my Mom. The next day, I called to ask for this driftwood back as well as a small antique hardware box. I did not hear back. I regret giving these sentimental items away & would have kept them if the guys would not have asked. I had the driftwood placed to load in the Pod when one of the mover's asked if he could have it. The guys were very nice and friendly & I was glad to find a good home for it until that evening when I talked to my Mom on the phone & heard her tell me about it. Moving can be quite an emotional experience. I would advise people to not be too impulsive on giving away things without at least before consulting a family member or friend or giving one's self some time to decide. I do appreciate the efficient moving service. I also feel I paid enough for the service. Sincerely, Alice *Since I live in California, I probably will never use the moving service again. Since the Pod is still in storage & has yet to be opened, I can not comment on the condition of the packed items, but am fairly confident that they were packed quite well.

Had gotten several estimates from all kinds of companies, from the biggest names in the industry to the smaller outfits, some found on Craig's list and Angie's List. Found this company by sheer luck and wanted to share our experience, for it was a great one. Had a fair idea of what we felt would be reasonable to pay, including travel time, mileage charged, etc., so by the time I spoke to Joe, I had a good median price in mind, which he did beat when all was said and done. He gave me some invaluable and cost-saving ideas I had never thought about for clothes/wardrobe packing that saved a TON of money and we did not need "wardrobe boxes", some of the most expensive items you buy. This was a "local" move, from one part of town to another, so the information would be different on a longer term move. I "clicked" with him right away and I just felt that he was not going to rip us off or pad expenses in any way he could have, as has been done to me in past moves. He was not pushy, aggressive, seemed honest and told me that the crew he uses are his regular friends off the job and they had worked together for several years. That was later evident in the way they worked together and communicated with each other on moving day. They were courteous and patient and did not complain at all if we had a change of heart on placement of furniture. One thing they do that I really liked about this company was they told me where they buy their boxes at the best price and that they would provide any extra boxes I might need last minute at the same price to me that they paid for them. That is quite unusual! I knew then what to expect to pay per box. Sure enough, we did need some extra boxes for last minute items and other odd-shaped stuff I had arranged for them to pack. The truck is as pictured on their internet ad, and it holds a lot of stuff. They will pack as much or as little as you need, they do what you need them to do on an hourly rate that was not excessive and they worked HARD. We had a team of 3 and there was no goofing off, no excessive "breaks". They took one hour for lunch and we kept them well supplied with cold bottled water. It was a full day move and we definitely got our money's worth from a friendly, caring company that did follow up with us to make sure we were satisfied and asked if we had anything broken to report. Not one thing, thank you very much.
