Rockaway Garden Ctr

Excellent. Everything went well from the planning to the execution. The crew came when expected, and finished in a timely manner. The end result looks beautiful.

Professional from start to finish. Very responsive to needs/ wants ; we could not be more satisfied !!!

Larry, the designer, did a plan for me for both front and back yards (which are on the small size). I liked his design right away but we worked together to ensure I got the plants I liked. He was very professional and patient. Before anything was planted, Austin did an awesome job installing drainage pipes and reworking the irrigation system. Many sprinkler heads had to be moved, fixed or installed. It was a lot of work and he worked all day by himself on the project to ensure all areas were covered. Impressive. Nate and another installer (sorry I didn't get his name) planted everything according to Larry's design. I did, however, make a few changes to the plan as to where a couple of the trees should go and Nate just rolled with it. He, too, was very helpful and accommodating. I was very pleased with the final project and, in fact, many neighbors commented on how nice everything looked. The only suggestion I would make is for Rockaway to have someone come to review the final project with the owner, answer any questions, and advise the owner how the plants should be cared for. They did give me written care instructions but it would have been nice, for the money, to have someone come out to ensure everything was done correctly. But, having said that, I would highly recommend Rockaway Garden Center. ,

Brian came on 10/29/14 as scheduled and sent me an email recap of what we discussed on 11/3/14. After not hearing anything, I emailed them on 12/5 and asked what the status was; Jay responded that same day saying they were running behind and would have something for me the following week. I never heard back. I assume due to the holidays, vacations, etc., I just fell through the cracks. I will continue to shop at Rockaway because they have a great selection of plants and the employees are knowledgeable and very nice. However, I have moved on and have decided to go with another company for the work I needed done at home.

They gave an estimate, we accepted, they planted all the plants we agreed upon. They are the experts on what grows here, and what will not. They checked and adjusted our sprinklers. 1/3 of the plants died quickly, they replaced them. They died again, as more did over the winter. 5 calls this year with no response.

Everything went great. The guys from Rockaway are very easy to work with. They helped me with changes in my design plan and had great suggestions. All work was done on time and the clean up was perfect.

They were fantastic. I was able tow work over the phone and e-mail with Greg who got the quote. He's got me a quote and I asked him all kinds of questions and sent me picture of what the trees would look like and he was very responsive.The tree was a gift for my husband and I was able to basically coordinate the purchase and delivery of the whole thing without having to ever go to the store. They were awesome.

I would say use them. They are wonderful.
