When I purchased my front-load washer, I was replacing an old-fashioned top-loader that died. I wasn't familiar with the advantages of front-loading machines and the saleperson spent a lot of time explaining all the features and how it works. The delivery men were on time, friendly and did a good job getting it installed and taking away the old unit. They tested the unit and took away all the boxes/wrapping. This summer the Home Depot at Jax Beach had a brand-new maytag dryer on clearance - 20% additional off the clearance price. It was a great deal on a good dryer. It was a deal I couldn't refuse.

I needed a new microwave and went to my local Home Depot. They were busy and understaffed, but the staff was attentive and knowledgeable once they got to me. My first choice was no longer available, but my second choice was. The listed price wasn't great, but there was a $50 rebate plus installation was half-price($50 instead of $100), and they took my old microwave at no charge. The delivery guys showed up within the two-hour window as promised and were very professional. When you consider the cost of installation and disposal, I thought it was a good deal.

I made it clear to the salesman we wanted a refrigerator today and would not be using it for more than a couple months. He kept trying to convince me it was better to buy the new model that just came out and they'd deliver it in two days. He said they don't help with floor model purchases. He meant it! They did bring it up to the front of the store, but not before banging it back and forth to pull it out of its place on the floor (They could have pulled straight out, it was not jammed in there.). They offered zero assistance moving it out to the truck and loading it up.
